~Story~

It all began with a simple spark, a jump of life that flowed through the blood and veins of humans eons ago. It came out of nowhere, encompassing the lives and hearts of the citizens, a power unbeknownst to them until now. This was the sudden, yet powerful event that brought the likes of magic to the world, all by a whim of fate. Civilizations evolved, cities and Kingdoms were built and destroyed, brought up by the leaders who were deemed by their subjects to be the rightful heirs to lead the people. Centuries passed, and as it did, the powers of magic began to grown stronger, and stronger, until one year, an object came from the ground, a book, ornate and jeweled, containing, miraculously, the secrets f the world, lost to man, ones that would make any person who read it the holder of the world.

Fights and wars were waged over this book, until one man, one of king nature and valiant heart, took the books, and used it for what he believed to be its intended purpose; peace. The other factions of the world yielded, and it soon became the event known as, 'The Coronation', one that would mark the first ever King of Kings. A title passed down to the one who wielded the book, every year that passed began another conflict by rival factions and Kingdoms. It soon came to pass that for the book to be in the hands of one that was fair, an agreement was made upon all the Kingdoms of the world:

For every century that passed, the book would be kept upon a pedestal for whoever became the winner of the event known simply as 'The Duel', a crossway battle of wits and strength waged by rules of the factions throughout the world. Whoever would be left standing and defeat their enemies would be crowned the King of Kings, and the world would be fit to be written in their image.

~Main Plot~

Present Day, the world has been in a state of peace with their current ruler, a man who used tactics of strategy and cunning to win the war, however, at the cost of many of his allies in the process. Time has passed however, and after the death of their current King, time is ticking down for the next participants to arrive and prove themselves worthy of the fight ahead. Royalty have come from all around the world to stake their claim on becoming the next King of Kings, and are willing to put their lives on the line, as well as their Vassals, to be the winner.

~Roles~

There are two types of participants that participate within this battle:

Kings: Members of Royal magical families that stake their claim on becoming the next King of Kings. Rules state that they must be of royal blood to participate, and must show some form of magical ability to participate. Hailing from all around the world, it is required that one region of the world has one primary participant for the war, while secondary may fight in the war if they choose to. No more than three may be from the same region.

and,

Vassals: Individuals with magical ability that is far more powerful than that of most humans, however, not nearly as powerful as that of the royalty participating in the battle. Ranging from all over the world, these individuals fight alongside the Kings, serving them as partners, servants, or simple tools to be used in the battle to help them win. Different Vassals may know different magical abilities, and it is wise to be versed in a magic that matches with their King, to become an effective partner to help them win. However, there have been instances where Vassals to Kings have been little more than slaves, bought to be used for their magical properties and abilities unique to their bloodline.

~Info~

I imagine this game to have a good amount of people for those to partner and plan with one another! With this setting being a mix of modern and magical fantasy types, feel free in being creative with what you think would be a good King or Vassal for this RP! I really would like for their to be a great amount of variety in regards to where characters are from in terms of countries and regions they are from, in order to have a fun roster of characters to play around with. The battle takes regions from al over for people to participate in, and it wouldn't be that much fun if they were all from just one country or something, right? As well, the role of Kings and Vassals is not locked to one gender, so people are free to make female Kings if they wished!

This is just an interest check however, so feel free to let me know if any of you are interested in the idea! :D

This sounds very interesting. I'll probably take the role of a king, he'll be a representative from England I think.

Juggtacular

I'd  like to take a king from Africa.

Jack of Jacks

Lmao I just thought it would be really neat to make a king of Antarctica character if this becomes a thing ^o^

Jack of Jacks

Would we be allowed to make kings/vassals from whole continents or would it be countries only? Asking cause Africa and Antarctica are HUGE and Africa has so many countries and 1.2 billion people in it

I mostly just thought of it as a person would be coming from one part of a certain continent or country. So, for example, someone would be coming from the continent of Africa, but specifically from a certain part of the area, not representing the entirety of it.

Juggtacular

Yeah I just hadn't selected a country in Africa yet.

Revelation

Interested as well - just pondering where my character could be from, and what they might be.

If you ever need help, feel free to ask! I'm sure everyone would be taking their time to come up with something!

Rebelle

I'd be interested in the King of Scotland... (Kings can be female, yes?)

Rebelle

Nevermind, just scrolled up and answered my own question :D
