“Are you tired of looking for love?” A soothing voice can be heard.

“Has your Cupid missed its mark? Does it feel like you might need a helping hand?” There’s a short pause as music swells in the background.

“Then come join us and tell someone to Date Me, Please!”

Date Me, Please! is Altear’s premier dating show. In a world as diverse as ours, it can be something of a challenge to find someone to love. When the possibilities are endless, it’s easy to be discouraged when you have difficulties. That’s why we’re here.

Mechanically, Date Me, Please! is like a cross between Love Connection and Big Brother. It is a reality show where the contestants are looking for love, while entertaining the men and women of Altear, a land much like our own, only that the mythical and supernatural are commonplace.

Contestants are brought into situations and events designed to put them into uncomfortable and unfamiliar territory, both to entertain, and to help them grow as individuals. Contestants are housed in a secluded mansion, sleeping in dormitory style rooms, split by gender, and cameras will be following them just about everywhere. Every day will have a major event that will earn them some sort of reward, from money to be used in one of the show’s shops and bars, to a lovely date for you and an individual of your choice, to something as simple as being able to have a bedroom to yourself for a while.

While the ultimate goal is to find love, we’re not guaranteeing it will happen. Sometimes, people will leave the show early for various reasons. So if there’s no one in the current lineup that you fancy, don’t be discouraged. Should a position open, (like, say, someone drops the game or wants to try a different character) we will do our damnedest to find the cream of the crop to replace them.

Guidelines for the game

  • Characters must be humanoid, preferably bipedal.
  • IC Drama is welcome, OOC Drama, not so much.
  • Events are open to suggestion.
  • Posts should be at least 2 paragraphs, with a 2 post cooldown before you can post again.
  • Sex is acceptable, if it makes narrative sense.
  • Furry characters are welcome, as are LGBT+

More will be added soon, but I wanted to see if there is any interest before I went nuts trying to worldbuild.

I'm closing this RP. Shit he's happened in my life, and everything is worse now. I don't see myself being able to write any time soon, so best not to put it off. Anyone wants to, they can take the idea, I don't care. Best of luck to you all.
