Seeking GM for Newbie Friendly Shadowrun

I've heard a lot about Shadowrun, and have put in the time to make a character once longhand with no help only to have the prospective game never get off the ground.  I am looking for a GM and group for an introduction to the system.  Hope this gathers some attention.

Can't help with a game ATM, but you might want to look at Chummer, an automated character creator and character sheet maker  that takes a lot of the drudge work out of doing a character in longhand.

  I'm a little bit more experienced than you describe, but still would love for a steady game to help me get a better grasp on the system.

She was an elf street samurai/face type character...  Well she had a high charisma anyways...

Must have been a light touch as a sammie to be the face....

Mostly just a decent charisma and some social skills.  Would have likely served as a face since no one else had any at all.

I generally avoid 'rolling' for things in an online RP and rely on description, so the stats will be less important than the backstory.

I am fairly experienced but would love to jump in, and provide advice and support too, if it's 4e.  I have a couple of flavors of human combat mage in mind, or perhaps a gunslinger adept.

Character creation may use a system framework but there won't be any dice rolling, so the edition is mostly irrelevant.

Nearly done with a gothic lolita-style combat mage, a nice, boring girl in a nice, boring suburb until the fact she had Awakened was picked up on by a local cult lead by a mage who took her under their wing.
