About Me

So, first a few words about myself: I'm a student from Germany, have been roleplaying for a few years (though with some interruptions due to personal and mental health reasons)
Fair warning, I'm studying literature, so I can't guarantee that I won't break out in lengthy, mildly pretentious rants about literature...But I try to keep that kind of rambling to a minimum! Aside from that, I'm not a terribly avid consumer of pop-culture, but if you're looking for someone who has watched a wild, eclectic mix of stuff on Netflix, I'm your guy!
Also a little bit of a history-nerd so...that's maybe another warning, I guess. But more the "Spend hours looking up victorian underwear"-kind and less the "Knows every major battle of the American Civil War"-kind.

About My Writing

As should become quite obvious from this thread, I'm pretty versatile. That goes both for the kind of plots I like to write, ranging from grimdark tales of nightmares, psychologcial horror and despair, to light-hearted, fluffy romances or epic, over-the-top adventures, which is all fine by me, though might depend on seasonal shifting moods and current hyperfixations.
That being said, I'm easily excited, so if I hear a compelling prompt, there is a very fair chance, that I can roll with it, so if in doubt, don't hesitate to shoot me your ideas!

As for the character I like to play, the same rule applies. Roleplaying is a wonderful way to be someone else and I always enjoy roles, that are something completely different from my everyday life. I do enjoy playing characters of pretty much any gender and orientation in any kind of pairing. I do not particularly care about my partners IRL-gender and slightly prefer partners who share that sentiment.

I also do have a soft spot for Ensemble-pieces. A cast of main-ish characters, getting tangled up in complicated and messy relationships is a great source of drama and conflicht, a good way to life out that versatile streak I mentioned above and an always welcome excuse to get all those plot-bunnies out of my head >.>'
(As mentioned above, I'm easily excited and kind of a visual thinker, so it takes me roughly 20 minutes on the Finders and Seekers-board here to have inspiration for a whole TV-Show-Cast worth of characters....)
Now, I know that playing multiple characters can be a lot of work and might not be everybodies cup of tea, so I'm usually fine with playing multiple characters against a single protagonist...As long as there is a neat story behind it and not just a basic harem-setup.

I don't really believe in a clear distinction between plot and smut or strict numerical values and ratios. Ideally, both should work harmoniously together. I'm equally ready to bend the plot a little bit in favour of the lewds, as well as throw in some kinks, because they fit neatly into the plot.

And on a final note: I see roleplaying first and foremost as a form of collaborative storytelling. I love to brainstorm, plot, world-build and throw ideas around. So none of the following plot-ideas is written in stone. I'm always happy to get other people's input! I mean, otherwise I could just write short stories, right?

Plots
Instead of an endless list of vague pairings or fully-fleshed out plots, here's a list of general themes I'm craving at the moment and some general ideas to use as jumping-off points for some collaborative plotting.

I. Neo-Feudal Space Opera *Major Craving*
Something with a Dune/Fading Suns-inspired vibe. Decadent emperors, noble houses and their brave knights, psychic space-witches and ancient robots vying for power and influence in a feudal mess of a galaxy, that features both sword-fights and spaceships!

This is admittedly more of a general genre, than a proper plot and would require a fair bit of worldbuilding and plotting, but if "Game of Thrones, but in Space" sounds intriguing to you, feel free to drop me a message!
II. (Alt)History
I know, that "What if the Nazis won WW2?" is not the most original premise (it's, in fact, the most popular Alternative History-premise in english-language literature), but there is something morbidly fascinating about that kind of dystopia.

Again, more a vague setting, but for this, I do have some character-concepts floating around.
(As a note: All morbid fascination and soft spot for fictional evil aside: I do not endorse fascism of any kind and would prefer not to interact with people who do)
III. Small Town Horror/Coming-of-Age-Story
Something along the lines of an aged-up version of Stephen King's "It": A group of highschool-students (16-18), dealing with their mundane issues and struggles, while also encountering some eldritch horrors lurking in their quaint little hometown
IV. Something Game of Thrones-esque
Either something set in the actual setting of GoT/ASOIAF (although I'd prefer to steer clear of any canon-characters or -events) or in an original setting with a similar vibe to it. In any case a grand tale of sex, violence and intrigue with a medieval, very-low-fantasy backdrop
V. Gritty Slice-of-Life
I would also be open for something leaning a bit more grounded and Slice-of-Life-ish, although I'd steer clear of the all-too-fluffy kind. Give me drama, grittyness, morally questionable relationships and the dark, emotional stuff!
(Also always open for something Organized Crime-related!)

Some Plot-Suggestions

• MC's father is a cold-blooded, infamous russian mob-boss. When MC came out as trans, that...didn't go over too well with her father. While he is enough of a family-man to keep her safe, with a bodyguard, nice apartment and generous allowance, he made sure to keep her far away from the family-business, that she desperately wants to play a part in.
  YC is an undercover-cop, who has been trying to bring down MC's family for a while...with very little success. Finally, he ends up as MC's bodyguard and, after getting to know her a bit, makes her an offer: She helps him bring down her father's organization and he'll help her get away from her family's criminal history and start a new life (maybe as the wife of a decorated cop?).
  And while MC wants to get back at her father, she doesn't really want his organization to go down...she wants to take over...And maybe convince YC, that life would be better on the other side of the law.
• MC is a chronically overworked ER-nurse. A bit awkward, a bit of a dork, surprisingly kinky, but overall a hard-working, wholesome good girl. That is until she crosses paths with YC, a mid-level mobster with more than a little blood on his hands and she finds herself torn between her sense of self-preservation, her desire and the wish to safe YC from his violent, criminal life...
• MC is the rebellious daughter of an extremely successful lawyer/businessman. Since her father likes to at least play the role of proud father and family-man, she gets dragged along to an insufferably boring dinnerparty...Where she runs across YC, one of her father's more interesting business partners. Mainly because YC is the head of a local drug-cartel...And exactly the kind of sophisticated bad boy, that catches MC's attention...

Crime and Punishment

After watching "The Departed" and "Donnie Brasco" (as well as some other assorted mob movies), I've been bitten by a sudden inspiration for something organized crime-related.
The Plot

So, this is admittedly a very vague pitch, but I'm craving something grand and gritty. Intrigue, love, betrayal, power-plays, family drama and a good pinch of sex, drugs and violence thrown in for good measure. Think "Game of Thrones" just in a modern urban setting (though I might be talked into something set in the 20s or 50s), if that makes sense.

Instead of a a fleshed out plot, I'm going to list some general themes and character-ideas below, to build a proper plot from with my partner.

What I’m looking for in a partner
Now, “requirements” is a hard word, but since this idea has been brewing a while at the back of my head, I might be a bit picky in terms of partners here.
That being said, don’t take this more as a wishlist than hard requirements.

• Enthusiasm: This is the most important and a non-negotiable part. I can get really excited about a story and I’d like a partner who shares that excitement.
  
• Someone willing to play someNPCs/Sidecharacters as required
  
• A Switch-Writer: Not necessarily switch characters (although those are always welcome as well!). There might be some bad things happening to our characters. I equally enjoy being on the recieving or giving end of darker topics and would highly prefer a partner who’s similar in that regard
  
• Communication: Is generally a good thing, I’ve been told. Since this plot might include some darker topics, it’s quite important that we stay within each others comfort-zones. And if we end up having to retcon an entire scene, because one of us wasn’t as okay with the content as they thought, that’s fine. No judgement there and safety first.
  
• Someone who likes to put some effort into world-, character-, and plot-building: While there will certainly be a fair share of lewdness in this plot, I’m still more interest in a strong story filled with drama, romance and character-development, so some enthusiasm in that regard would be very welcome. If the idea of creating a worldbuilding-thread to store information about characters, locations and other details of the setting is a turn-off for you, this might be not your cup of tea.
  
• Someone who’s open to both queer and straight pairings: I’m quite flexible in that regard and what fun is a coming-of-age-story, where the characters explore their sexuality, if they can’t experiment a little?
  
• Finally, and most importantly: Fun! That’s the whole point in the end, isn’t it?

An Innsmouth Romance

So, for those who don't know the Story "Shadow over Innsmouth" by H.P. Lovecraft, the basic premise is:
A small fishing village in New England strikes a pact with strange, amphibious frog-fish-people, who worship strange, eldritch gods. In exchange for worship and human sacrifices now and then, the villagers get as much fish and outlandish golden jewelry as they want. After a while, said fish-people decide, they want to live among the humans and mate with them. Since Lovecraft was not overly interested in sexual activities of any kind, his story stops at the slightly xenophibic notion of "Oh noes, they are tainted by fish-blood!"
But I think the idea of a prim and proper, 19th century-New England-Puritan gal being presented with a bunch of horny fish-people, after her family is converted by the local cult has some interesting potential in it.
The Last Shadows of Summer
Setting/Genre: Small Town Horror/Coming-of-Age-Story
Inspiration: The Colour out of Space, Stranger Things, Every other Stephen King story
Themes: Coming-of-Age, Small-Town/Family Drama, Friends-to-Lovers(?), Cosmic(?) Horror

Plot:
Character A and Character B grew up together in a small, quaint and mind-numbingly boring town somewhere. During a particularly feverish summer, these two young people must not only confront the average, mundane horrors of high-school seniors, like classes, part-time jobs, anxiety about the future and the omnipresent boredom of the rural youth, but also something stranger, darker and more terrifying, that suddenly overshadows their hometown.
The Queen in Red
Setting/Genre: Horror
Inspiration: Black Swan, Suspiria, The King in Yellow
Themes: Ambitious Performers, Cursed Manuscripts, Psychological Horror

Plot:
[Protagonist] has just been accepted into a quite prestigious group of performing artists (a fancy dance academy? A famed theater/dance/ballet-troupe?). And the first performance they're going to take part in is not only arranged by a famous, if a bit eccentric director, but also based on a quite avant-garde, long-lost script...That turns out to be a bit more uncanny than expected. Eager to prove themselves and follow their ambitions, they realize to late, that this performance might serve some dark, eldritch forces...and drive them and the rest of the cast into madness...or worse.
A Thing of Beauty
Setting/Genre: Gothic/Erotic Horror
Inspiration:  A little bit gothic novel and a little bit Hellraiser (just less gory)
Themes: Gothic Horror, Cursed Artifacts, Slow Descent into Madness

Plot:
Character A and Character B are a couple of young, recently somewhat wealthy professionals. To give the last touch to their new, very hip and very fancy apartment, they acquire an....odd piece of art. Maybe they bought it at an odd antique-store, maybe it was gifted to them by...someone. In any case, one or both of them begins to develop an unhealthy obsession with this piece...which in turn begins to show a subtle, corrupting influence on them. But do you really question, if that weird sculpture is cursed, if your sex-life suddenly becomes outlandishly good?
Mrs. Cartwritght's Dreams
Setting/Genre: Cosmic/Psychological Horror
Inspiration:  The Call of Cthulhu and similar lovecraftian horror
Themes: Doctor-Patient-Relationship, Unhealthy Obsession, Eldritch Visions

Plot:
Character A has been visiting their therapist, Character B for a while now, for some form of mental-health issue. And so far, they've been doing pretty good, all things considered. Until A begins to be plagued by strange, unsettling and very vivid dreams. Despite their more rational mindest, B soon has to admit, that these dreams aren't just mundane nightmares. They're messages from some otherworldy entity....but what do they want to tell?
The Lurker Behind the Screen
Setting/Genre: Horror
Inspiration: "The Ring", obviously and a variety of Creepypastas.
Themes:  Influencer-Culture, Cursed Media, Lovecraft meets Instagram
Kinks: Open
Plot:
[Protagonist] has made a small career through some sort of online content. Twitch-streams? Youtube-Videos? Something along those lines. Maybe their content already has a bit of a morbid twist, or maybe it's just a one-time gimmick for Halloween, in any case they end up getting their hands on an allegedly cursed video...which they watch to record their reaction. Contrary to their expectation though, this video turns out to be actually otherworldly in nature and now they have to deal with the consequences: By watching the video, they called out for something out there...and it replied.

The Higher They Rise…
Setting/Genre: Modern Day US/UK? / Political Thriller, Action, Drama
Inspiration: House of Cards, State of Play
Themes: Corruption (Moral and Political), Politics, Rise to Power, Intrigue, Betrayal

Plot:
Discslaimer: Obviously, the story about the rise of a politician (who might not be a terribly nice person), has a high risk of tackling some topics that might hit a little close to home for some people. While the degree, to which real-world issues (or legally distinct stand-ins) feature in it is up for debate, if you’re looking for some light-hearted escapism, this story might not be for you. If you’re down for something cathartic, where we turn the unpleasantries of the real world into something engaging and maybe deal out some carmic justice in the process though, this might be very much the story for you!

Character A (M, somewhere in his 30s) is an ambitious politician, striving for great things and with the charisma, competence and squeaky clean reputation to actually achieve that. If he’s aspiring to power for it’s own sake, or if he truly believes that he has all the right answers to society’s problems is up for debate.

Either way, underneath that well-dressed, charming exterior lies a mind, best described as macchiavellian and a willingness to not only play dirty, but also sacrifice a lot (preferably other people) for the sake of his ambitions.
Aside from that, he is, regardless of the smiling, waving wife he has, a man of great appetites, who isn’t quite satisfied with a single partner (or gender, for that matter), which might not align terribly well with the values he publicly states.

Queue Character B (early 20s, gender up for discussion, but big plus points for a young man or transwoman), a young sex-worker, who ends up becoming A’s go-to provider of kinky fuckery, whenever he needs to vent some steam form his stressful life as a power-hungry politician. Originally, A is as dominant and in-charge in the bedroom as out of it, but, maybe egged on by Character B, who as their very own kind of charme, begins to explore a more switch-y side, realizing that he actually enjoys being on the recieving and now and then…Which annoys him to no end, but leads nonetheless to an unhealthy obsession with Character B, who then gets dragged into his orbit of corruption, politics and intrigue…
Starting from here, I’d like to explore the story of Character A’s rise to power…and his eventual downfall. While centering around the messy relationship between the two main-leads, there is certainly plenty of room (and need) for side-characters to scheme with, against, fuck, get fucked by, get fucked over by or fuck over. Of what nature A and B’s relationship is, if they become a cold-blooded power-couple, of if it’s more a love-hate relationship, where B ends up playing a role in A’s eventual downfall is up for debate.

Setting/Genre: Organized Crime/Family Drama
Inspiration: Eastern Promises, The Godfather, etc.
Themes: Family Drama, Daddy Issues, Rise to Power, Organized Crime, Sex, Drugs and Violence
Kinks: Open, but including a fair amount of switchery and powerplay
Plot:
MC, the son of a local mob-boss (italian? russian?) has always been a bit of a disappointment to his father. While smart, charming and eager to prove himself, he doesn't quite fit the image of the tough gangster, his father had hoped for in his heir. So when MC returns home from college, his hopes of finally getting a chance, to play a bigger role in the family "business" are swiftly dashed. He's kept around, but never as more as "the boss' son", while his father is openly looking for a more "appropriate" candidate, who can take over the organization.

There he makes the acquaintance of YC, one of his father's loyal soldiers, who too feels a bit overlooked in the organization. Sparks fly and the two decide to team up to take what they feel is rightfully theirs....
Pairings: Mainly MxM, but I'm open to various other pairings and sidecharacters.
The Lost Art of the Twilight
Setting/Genre: Modern/Gritty Slice of Life
Inspiration: -
Themes: Art vs. Commerce, Forbidden (or at least very inappropriate) Love, Mentor/Student-Relationship, Escape from Crime and Poverty
Kinks:  Age Difference (obviously), aside from that I'm open to various things
Plot:
Character A is an older, quite successful comic-author. They came from rather humble beginnings, but thanks to an abundance of both luck and talent, they managed to make quite a name for themselves. As of late though, they have been struggling a bit, at least creatively. Their latest works sell quite well, their publisher is very happy, but they just go through the motions to churn out well-selling shlock. And they hate it, almost as much as they hate their fans, who buy and praise the lackluster, corporate-approved stuff they churned out to pay the rent, while everybody seems to have forgotten the genuinely inspired work they used to do...

Character B is a teenager (within the boundaries of site rules and good taste, so 16+) from the bad part of town, just a few blocks from the run-down apartment-building, where Character A grew up. Unlike A, who made something out of their life, B is clearly struggling. Young, with little perspective, a troubled home-life, some dodgy friends and and a few minor run ins with the law. But also a fresh, creative mind, some artistic talent and the desperate need for escape...or at least escapism.

These two meet during an autograph session at a local comic store. A is politely smiling and nodding, while signing their name on the books they would love to burn, until B turns up in the queue, to have a worn out copy of A's first (and to the writers opinion: Best) comic signed...and a question that has been tormenting A themselves:
"What happen, man? The new stuff is garbage"
And that is as far as B gets, before being dragged out by the store's owner...Apparently, after stealing a few too many comics, they're not welcome there anymore.
But A, intrigued by that encounter, tracks B down and a sort of mentor/student relationship develops between the two, reigniting A's creativity...and igniting some dangerous other passions...

The Devil's Advocate
Setting/Genre: Modern/Gritty Slice of Life
Inspiration: The Keanu Reeves movie of the same name (Minus the overtly supernatural elements)
Themes: Corruption, Country Guy in the Big City, Crime, Courtroom Drama

Plot:
Character A is a young lawyer from a small town, who recently managed to get a job with a big, respectable (?) law firm in The City. Once in the city though, our young, idealistic lawyer finds out that "justice" isn't really a concept his new boss values very highly. But the pay is good and the glimpse he gets into the decadent lifestyle of the rich and morally questionable as a certain appeal...

I notice you listed an interest in the middle ages proper, or Italian Renaissance in your historical section.  Both are areas of interest for me, the middle ages in general.  I'm a scadian so that's my weekend hobby, living like the middle ages (but with ac and flushy toilets b/c well yea).  Anyway.. I thought we might be able to discuss getting an rp going.  If you want you can see my story ideas and profile details to get an idea of the range I can play and what I'm into, to see if it meshes with what you're looking for.
