Hello, wanderer, and welcome! sit, and meet this humble teller of tales.

I am Gil, and I am terribly out of practice RP'ing. I'm being up front about this, but there are a few promises I'll give right off the bat: I aim for at least 2 paragraphs, and will strive to be as timely as possible. work, sleep, or Life may intrude, but if I am available, I will respond as quickly as I can. I understand and am comfortable with Grammar rules, and barring a few words I've only heard and haven't written, you shouldn't see much in the way of spelling errors. that said, I will occasionally intentionally ignore some grammar rules for dramatic effect; 'specially if ahm imitatin' ah wayah speakin'. if this is an issue with you, just tell me and I'll stop.

My preferences are pretty lax, frankly, with only straight torture getting a hard no from me. anything else is open for discussion, or I will actively seek to add.

I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting, so if you have a question, just ask and I'll give you a direct response/update the thread.

Stories!

My story Ideas are set in a bit of a custom fantasy universe. it's all still very much being built, but I'm glad to jabber about it until the sun goes down.

First: Burdens of Yesterday
The Empire of Zandt is under siege. Immortal beings, Eternals*, seek to reclaim territory claimed by Zandt during the slave rebellion that founded it 80 years ago; however, The supposed lesser races have managed to fight them to a standstill, and it seems there's been a disturbance in the Eternal City*. This has given Zandt space to breath, and let it's rising noble houses delve into politicking. the houses seek to bring the various heroes of the recent fighting under their own banner, to take credit for their victories. one Such hero is Donovan van Zandt, an orphaned ward of the state who has distinguished himself in special assignments for the crown. he is a man who gets things done, and your character wants to claim him for their house. whether this is done via intrigue or seduction, however, is up to the writers...

*names are subject to change on a whim of I think of something I like more.

Second: Escort Duty
This one has less of a story built around it; basically, a mage is recently graduated from the academy, and decides they want to engage in 'field work' a.k.a. blowing things up for money. knowing they're not the most physically robust, they hire a knight (or dame!) to join in their ''field work' to keep the mage safe. Hijinks/romance/whatever ensue.

this one I feel can go a lot of ways based on preferences. all the way from comedy to D/s power games. Msg me and we'll figure it out.

Less specific stuff!

I revel in subverting power dynamics, and pairings where one person should have power over the other but clearly doesn't. so...
