This may be a stupid question, but is there a way to respond to a specific reply in a thread? All I'm seeing is a general "reply" button on the bottom and top of the thread, but no way to reply to specific comments. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if my computer is going haywire or I'm being dense. Both are equally likely.

I think most people use the quote button, and reply like so ...

Gypsy has the right of it.  If you want to insert quotes from several posts, you can do that by scrolling down the page and hitting 'Insert Quote' (located at the top of each post) while you're doing your reply.
