i n t r o d u c t i o n      Thank you so much for taking the time to peek into my request thread! I have a couple of quick - and I do mean quick - notes about what you'll find in this thread. I hope to continue to add more and more ideas as they come to me, so this post is just a start to how big this thread can get. I'm a very visual person, so for the most part these will be ideas brought about by images I see. The ideas are not completely fleshed out, but I do this on purpose. I want to provide enough detail so that you, my potential partner, can get a feel for what I'm looking for. From that point, we'll be able to build something together that feels really rad and suited to both of our needs. I do prefer to play female presenting characters; however, I am open to any combination, including playing multiple characters.

Everything is up for discussion! Don't like the setting? Maybe we can change it. Think my character idea might be someone else in the universe? I'm sure we can figure that out, too. I'm really posting this to try and find some quality partners to write with. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to be here on Elliquiy. I've so thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Just Within Reach

Just outside of New York City there's a small patch of land that somehow managed to stay off the grid. Laurel and her family live here, with the bare necessities to get by. A horrific childhood led her mother to believe that big city society was nowhere for a young woman like her daughter. Hoping to keep her sheltered for as long as possible, Laurel reached her 21st birthday when she decided that enough was enough. She loved her mother and couldn't bear to ask her to put up with any of her whims. So instead, she sneaks out one night, setting into the city to start her new life. Who will she find? How will she ever manage to figure out how to live when culture shock hits her right in the face?

Off the Page

A young man - animator, illustrator, college student, whoever - has an incredible gift. He figures out that what he draws lives on the page. It comes alive, the characters and their personalities in all of their glory. Realizing that he can escape his own life and draw himself into this new, illustrated world, he makes a new discovery every day as he draws his perfect woman. At least, what he thinks is his perfect woman. Turns out looks can be deceiving. While the first few drawings he makes are relatively plain, involving just the simple character sketch, as he goes deeper and deeper into this world, he realizes that it links with all of the works he's ever created. That will turn out to be quite a dangerous portfolio.

The Shop Next Door

In a big city somewhere, there is quite the fascinating collection of shops. They're small, but everyone in the area knows just how prestigious a spot in this mall really is. It's not easy to gain entrance, even with the money to purchase the shop. Each little storefront features a craftsman. This was one of the only ways to truly make a living doing what these two love to do. It keeps them afloat. With such a small collection of shops, everyone knows everyone. That is when two of those craftsmen, their shops side by side, meet. Pia is just moving in, working on getting her shop set up and looking for advice from the man next door to help her get up on her own two feet.

Unlikely Lovers

Rosalynne is a pirate, an assassin, someone paid to complete a task, whatever that task might be. She was a woman of no limits. With the right face, she wouldn't even mind a pretty penny to be taken to bed. In some way, she finds her path has crossed with someone from quite the opposite upbringing. Whether he be a nobleman, King, or something else entirely, Rosa seems to be quite his opposite. Quite the big name, he is aware of what she is known for. She'll do anything, for a price. What will he ask of her? Of course, she'll accept. But first you'll have to pet the lovely creature perched across her slender shoulders.

Tris is a native, living on an island that at one time had been peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect home. Her people were intelligent and diverse, but far from the mainland. Little did they know that the ground beneath their feet would soon split to let the molten innards of the earth spew from its core. It wanted destruction, demise, and death. With nowhere left to run, they are forced to adapt or leave. But how to get to the mainland? She could only hope that those on the mainland would see that trouble brewed on their island. Less and less traversable ground was available to escape the lava that seeks to wipe out her people. Will she be saved by someone from the mainland? Or a fellow member of her tribe?

Bite By Bite

Warning: This idea does have some non-consensual themes. Apologies if this is offensive! That said, this is not necessary, just one idea I had. Ultimately, this would be about a creature that has two forms, a handsome young man and the 'death'-like creature pictured above. When he slips into the latter form, he is hungry so to speak. He survives off of the vitality of others, sucking the life out of them. But this man specifically enjoys keeping 'toys' instead of pulling the entire life from any given person. Ultimately, there are many directions this idea can go, from incredibly extreme to non-consensual, to fairly PG-13. BUT I think there's a lot of discussion that can happen here to make this a much deeper and fascinating idea.

A Congressman’s Affair

A childhood friend returns to town just as the new congressman is elected into office. She is at a loss for what to do in this next step of her life, her last job falling right out from under her. With nowhere else to go, she runs to this man, her ex from way back in high school that she had left behind to pursue her dreams. It was heartbreaking, but she had no choice and she could only hope that he understood. A rekindled friendship between them, there was something else just bubbling beneath the surface. How could they deny the spark? He knows of her background and hires her to work in his office with the rest of his team. But the proximity brings their professionalism to falter and crack, leaving the congressman vulnerable with all eyes on him. And don't forget about his lovely wife, who is quite responsible for that band around his finger.

A New Atlantis

A diver finds himself with defective equipment, expecting nothing but his own demise as he lets himself drift underwater, every movement he'd make letting in a bit more water. Was it cracked? He wasn't sure, but he could only hope that someone would find him. But as he floats along into a part of the depths he'd never seen before, someone else finds him. She looks human, no doubt. But she couldn't be. She had no gear, nothing at all that could possibly allow her to live underwater, and yet here she was, coming to save this man from what could have been the end of his life. A hand covering the crack in the gear,she pulled him along, back to none other than the lost and rebuilt City of Atlantis. A city where evolved humans - surely a secret of the governments of the world - find their place down in the middle of the ocean.

On the Brink

A kingdom found its home at the edge of the falls. Falls that had slowly been crumbling away throughout the years, the decades. Slowly, the land around the castle began to give way to the flow of the waters. The occasional tremble of the windows, the sound of rocks smacking along the edge of the walls, and of course, the sound of rushing water. The king was convinced that such a massive castle could never be shoved aside. He refused to relocate, refused to start new. But it was all only a matter of time until people would start getting hurt.

Goddess of War

A delicate flower. A stunning princess. There were plenty of phrases that the people used to describe the daughter of their King. But none were quite what she aspired to be. Her people were very much at war, battle after battle being thrown to either side. No one was really safe in any corner of the kingdom. And in the most recent battle, that was made especially clear as when the King himself fell. There was no prince, no one nearby to take the throne aside from the Queen herself. She fell into that position of leadership, but she was not fit to take the lead in warfare. The princess shocked all by taking a stand, proving herself to be exactly what they needed to free themselves from the pits of war. But would people really bow down to a female warhead? Much less, one that any man would be happy to bed?

As kids, we've all had an imaginary friend. We have such creativity that the bathtub becomes an ocean and the world is our oyster. But usually, as we grow older, that imagination really slips away. And it did for Janella. At least, so she thought, until her parents' passing. She returned home to the desolate lot where her house had burned down. People believed it was no accident. There was nothing left. Nothing but memories... And an old friend. The imaginary friend that had once taken care of her and given her guidance was left by the tree, the only thing that still stood in the backyard of the home with the swing. What did this mean? If he was imaginary, how could they touch?

Clock’s Ticking

Based on the movie In Time. Essentially, humans buy their time. The clocks don't start until they reach the age of 21, at which time they're activated and they don't work for money, but instead time. When their clocks run out, they die. A story that brings in the divide between rich and poor and an unlikely miracle that comes in the form of an Honor Young, a 21 year old who on her birthday discovers her miracle. Her clock reads an impossible number. If she stays in this run down area, she is sure to be jumped, killed for the time on her clock. But the clock wouldn't be accepted by the wealthy either. It is suspicious, and they would assume the worst of her.

Dogfight

The Marines are having one last hurrah before they are sent off to war across the pond. In New York City, they intend on having a dogfight, a competition in which each Marine tries to bring the ugliest date to the dance. One of them struggles, but manages to find quite the awkward, sweet woman working in her mother's diner. Catching her right before close, he asks her to the dance. But when the two fall for each other and he tries to steer her away from the dance, she is adamant to attend, claiming she's never been to a dance before. When she finds out what he's done after the dance, she swears to never want to see him again and runs off. But he's fallen for her. It's romantic, but there's many different directions we can take this. Based off of an incredible musical by the same title.

Top of the World

Maybe it's a simple vacation to Alaska for a newlywed couple. Maybe they're explorers. Maybe they're the last people alive, at least to their knowledge. Maybe it's a new future and the new form of tourism is travel to other planets that have been explored and proven safe. What better way than together? What an adventure. No matter what it is, it's clear this is a different and unique frontier and the two pictured are a pair ready to face it together.

Hell Raiser

It's a time when people do what they need to do to survive. The divide between the rich and the poor has grown and grown until the poor have - for the most part - simply died off. It's the newest form of survival of the fittest. But the poor that are left have resorted to a life of crime. And some, worse, terrorism. Some do it for survival and others for entertainment and even sport. Who do we play? Two poor trying to fight for their lives? Maybe a poor woman trying to steal from a rich man that takes pity on her? What is the story's reality?

Slice of life can always be seen as boring or maybe too basic to make for a good RP, but I've wanted to do something with this for quite some time. The end of a relationship brings forth so many emotions, some bad, some good, some terrible. And when a relationship ends it can bring someone through any number of paths. Exploring those paths is of interest to me. This roleplay could go any number of ways. You could play the ex, someone new, just a good friend or someone separate altogether. This is an exploration of the depth of a real breakup between two individuals. Where does it bring them?

I truly don't know who they are. I imagine her as something of a muse to him. What I do know is that they're an unlikely couple/pairing. In love, of course. I don't know what time period. I don't know how they've met. I'm open to so many interpretations.

The Forgotten

The world has turned on itself, the core slowly burning towards the surface from a crevice that had formed on one side of the planet. It had been pushing people further and further away from it as the flames and lava licked mile after mile. It only stopped when it hit water. But when a scientist figures out a supposed 'cure' for the planet, there is only one way to fix it. And to fix it, someone must return to where it all started: the crevice. A dangerous journey taking people out of their comfort zone, this could be a group roleplay or a 1x1 where we play multiple characters with two major characters. I think there's a lot to be derived from this idea.

The Wench

A female slave managed to catch the eye of a captain of a ship exploring new lands. She is one of very few women on board, most of the slaves necessary are men. While the captain treats her quite well, not all of the crew members take to her as nicely. This story could be a combination of the treatment of her on the ship, though I also envision her as being told to stay on board when they get to each new location or port. And while she listens for the first chunk of time, the story can arc until she decides to explore, sneak off the ship after them. Many directions this can go.

A Great Loss

A wedding day gone wrong. A princess and a prince from enemy lands were meant to be married. But when the princess' kingdom hosted the wedding, when she made it down the aisle it was a complete slaughter. Her father was beheaded, mother taken hostage, and all of the men killed. The prince could have been in on it or not, that's up in the air. Now the princess is to watch her kingdom be completely overrun by the other. And along with her mother and the other women in the kingdom, she is to serve the prince instead of marry him.

Another Life

I don't know what it is about this image, but it really speaks wonders to an almost rustic, prehistoric style land. But it's odd because technology and that primitive style mesh somehow. I think there's a lot to explore in this image and with this woman. The only idea is for the land to be overrun somehow, maybe by another clan or something of the sort. Explore this image with me and let's create something from it!
