Halo roleplay, anyone? M for F

After a very long absence, I'm back and looking for more fun storytelling.  And other things.  Definitely other things 

I'm looking to make a Halo based story, preferably set during the Great War.  Two soldiers finding solace with each other during the long night of endless war against an implacable, seemingly undetectable foe.  While the Spartan IIs are the heroes of the story, I'm not sure they have the emotional range for such a story, so I'm thinking more about ODSTs or an ODST and a pilot, something like that.

What I'm really looking for are two people connecting and surviving, as much as the kinky and fun sex.
