So this idea was inspired by one of my favorite quotes:

“I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?” - Zhuangzi

It is a philosophical question of reality and how do we perceive what is real. So it got me thinking, if we feel love in our dreams does that make that love real? If an emotion could be real in a dream, what else could be real? So I came up with what I think is an interesting plot I want to explore and see how would like to try it with me.

Our characters do not know each other in this current modern world. For as long as they remember whenever they fell asleep they enter another world. A world of swords and magic, but it was far than just a dream. As they grew up in the modern world they also grew up in that world as well – having family, friends, and people care about them in both worlds. They each lived in two worlds at the same time – go to sleep in one world and wake up in the other. When they get hurt in one world they wake up with wounds in the other one. No one believes them and dismisses the physical evidence as merely psychosomatic. All the drugs and therapy in our world and all the magic in the other world could not resolve it. Soon it was better for them to stay quiet. They met several times in the other world – perhaps they are lovers, rivals, a prince and a beggar, a master and a slave. Now by twist of fate they encounter each other in our world and come to realize that the person in front of them is someone from their dreams.

Please message me if you're interesting in building a plot together from this concept and playing it with me.

Kinks and stuff all fluid depending on the plot we create.
