Ok, so, I was listening to a youtube video by the same name (by a user named I Love Comicbooks, the link is...here  )and thought what would -I- do in this situation

So, using the same rules. What would you do if you had free reign over a comic character, what would you change? what would you keep the same?

Okay, to start us off, I'll go first.

Khamila Khan "Ms Marvel"

Okay, I personally dislike this character, but not for some reasons. I'd keep her as a student, and a muslim. I think that gives some great potential for stories about faith, and family and the world. I'd keep her as an inhuman.

Now, what would I change?

First thing to go is the costume, it just looks dumb. Because of her shapeshifting always being portrayed as arms or legs, initally she'd have a sorta one piece leotard/ swimsuit, maybe with some shorts on, and a domino mask. later on, she'd get an unstable molecule costume courtesy of either sheild or the fan 4.

Next thing is her name, Ms Marvel. Initially she'd go out as "Fan Girl", having her being a big Ms Marvel/ Carol Danvers fan. Her hero would become a part-time mentor for the girl, partially out of a sense of responsibility (because she'd go out and do the crime fighting thing anyway) and partially out of flattery. This would have Ms Marvel able to act as a "supermother" figure, a big gun when she gets in over her head. She would maintain freindships with some of the street level heroes of NY such as spiderman, but the focus of the stories would be about her.

Now, the comic. The first arc or two would be done in a sort of "journal"/ retrospective style, with her recording events that have happened to her. I like her being a mid-teenager (14-16 yrs old) because it's a time of self discovery, and I think this story could be told interestingly, with her discovering what she wants to do, what she doesn't, seeing her dreams change and shift.

Okay, so, just a breif one. What does everyone else think?

This sounds fun! I'm going to do a lesser known character. Marvel's Toxin the Son of Carnage!

A character I thought had a lot of potential just like Venom in the comics if his miniseries didn't suffer from a boring plot. I would keep his initial origins of being Carnage's son the same and the struggle between good and evil the infant symbiote was waging in his mind. Not to mention the risk of mental degradation the 1000th member of the Venom's lineage could suffer.

What I would change?

His first host Pat Mulligan. Don't get me wrong I thought he did more for Toxin than Eddie Brock ever did. He was a cop who was trying to veer Toxin away from his base instincts of violence, that however is where his use as a character ended though. For the bulk of the Toxin miniseries it was more of boring plot that could have been resolved in less issues.

Personally I really think a younger host would have worked better and been taken under Spider-Man's care. With a crazy symbiote and a homeless teen under Spidey's roof when he was still married (Toxin appeared pre- One More Day) would be more than interesting.

Not only would the reader get to see two individuals (one human and the other alien) discovering themselves in a world that brands individuals for appearances. The interactions with Spider-Man himself would be potential gold, teaching a kid the lessons he himself had to learn the hard way. Trying to prevent another Venom being born due to his actions.

Including the impact they in turn would have in Spider-Man's life. Helping him ease off a bit from the hero life to pursue a better and more stable life with him and his wife. Having a partner to watch his back in a fight. Plus help remind him the same lessons he's teaching to his newest protégés when things seems bleak.

Mathim

Spider-Girl (May "Mayday" Parker) is one of my favorite titles in comics. I would have loved for her to have a much longer-lasting series, interact more with the future Avengers, 'A-Next', possibly become an official member even if only because they lost members and needed to shore up their numbers. Her participating in a next-generation Secret War would be amazing, with her stepping up and becoming the leader despite there being other, more 'expected' characters to take the reins. Upgrading her suit, maybe getting some of that impact webbing the Scarlet Spider uses or some armor (just padding or full-on Iron Spider).

Since she already had a clone in the original story, meaning there being multiple Spider-Girls already, I'd love to see alternate universe version of many different Peter Parker's daughters with other women besides Mary Jane, all interacting from some kind of nexus. My idea for the daughter of Peter Parker and Ava Ayala/White Tiger, who would be a tone-swapped version of the black-and-white costume and have the combined abilities of both parents, would be a serious contender for ultimate Spider-Girl.

Also I'd want her traveling back in time more, whether or not she interacted with her father at any point in his life during those trips. It was fun seeing her as a fish out of water in an era decades behind where she's used to. Plus her going up against some of her father's rogues in their prime, that would be a treat.
