You mean Marshal auras? Well, marshal auras are bit similar to aura of courage so yes. However I allow Blackguard levels stack with ex-paladin levels to improve the auras and gain more auras (but nothing else from marshal side like grant move action).

edit: To add on to the Howard's Bow to bring it up to 30k gold, maybe adding the ability of the Swordbow and letting it turn into a +1 longsword as a standard action?

Backstory: Orphaned at a young age, Tanith found herself living her early days on the streets of a bustling capital. Doing what she had to do to scrape by, it seemed the life of a thief was all that lay in her future. The course of her life was forever changed, however, when one of her pickpocketing attempts was foiled by a man named Aharon Reis. As it so happened, he was a member of The Order of the Broken Sword, an order of paladins revered for their valor and compassion. He saw something in the orphan child, and perhaps took some measure of pity on her. He gave her a simple choice, face the guards or join his order as his page. It was an ultimatum, and a harsh one, but one made of a desire to save this child from her inevitable future. She accepted his offer, and soon found herself living in a completely different world.

Her new life was not exactly easy, but if nothing else, she never went hungry or lacked a bed to sleep in. At first, her service to the Order was performed reluctantly, and with great ire. Over time, however, she began to grow accustomed to this new life, and eventually, even enthusiastic; especially when it came time for combat training. She took to the sword as though she'd been born with one in hand, and met every expectation with flying colors. With this newfound enthusiasm, she redoubled her efforts in other fields, quickly becoming well versed in her theological studies as well. She worked ever harder, enticed by the promise of one day becoming a squire, and even a paladin.

On the day of her graduation into the rank of squire, she was given yet another surprise, as her benefactor and mentor formally adopted her as his daughter, and bestowing on her his family name of Reis. Now she no longer merely had her own future resting on her hands, but the honor of a respected family name. There would now be no room for failure, as far as she was concerned. She pushed herself harder than ever before in her duties, and once she came of age, she was accepted as a full member of the Order, a knight, and a paladin. From then forth, Tanith served the Order with distinction befitting her adoptive family. She slew monsters, aided those in need, performed acts of charity and selflessness, and committed herself fully to the service of her Order, and the benevolent gods that gave them strength.

One day, she set out with her father to deal with a vampire terrorizing a small town. They had not worked together much since her knighthood, but the vampire seemed a worthy enough foe for the pair to face it together. Upon entering the creature's lair, they were set upon by undead thralls and separated. The catacombs the vampire called home were vast, and how long she found herself lost in them, she did not know, but when she found her father again, he was but a thrall to their foe. Through her grief and outrage, she did what had to be done. It was a wound that she would never truly recover from, and she devoted herself to the eradication of all manner of living dead, but vampires most of all.

This eventually lead to the fateful quest which would change her life forever. Or perhaps, more accurately end it. The irony would not be lost on her.



Personality: In life, Tanith Reis was a kind and compassionate woman; valorous and steadfast in her defense of the innocent, yet with a certain humor and friendliness that tended to put people at ease around her. Her devotion to her Order was without question, as was her strong sense of honor and loyalty. While she grew more grim and serious with the death of her father, she never faltered in her quest to dispense justice to the wicked. Though some would argue her motivation became less about justice, and more vengeance. It would be that thirst for revenge which ultimately delivered her right into the arms of the evil she sought to eradicate.

Now one of the living dead, she cannot help but question the benevolence of the gods she once served, wondering what she had done to earn their ire, their abandonment. Deep within her, resentment festers and grows, grief becoming anger, and anger feeding hatred. Yet, she is ever the knight, albeit a perverse parody of a knight, now. Abandoning her gods as they abandoned her, her sense of honor is not so easily broken. Perhaps it's not what she once knew as honor, but it is some semblance of honor all the same.


Gehenna: An ancient sword, radiant in its malice. It was once a gift to a king on his coronation day, so the legend goes. So beloved was his father, that all had great hopes for his reign. However, the son was addled of the mind, fraught with paranoia and madness. It was the way of his people that the king passing judgement would bring down the blade, and so the sword was steeped in the blood of countless. Guilty, innocent, man, woman, child, friend and foe; the mad king's wrath knew no mercy. So wicked and selfish was this king that he made a pact with a devil to stave off his end, that he became something unnatural. Unwilling to suffer the reign of an undying tyrant, the people rebelled. The king's head was placed on the chopping block and he himself was added to the list of the blade's victims. With that final killing, the sword was entombed, sealed away, never to be wielded again.

Within that tomb, the sword festered, the malice of its former master and the blood of its victims tainting and corrupting it. The sword grew a wickedness of its own; an unquenchable thirst for blood. The legend says that when it was finally unearthed by some fool seeking treasure, he brought it home and slew his family with it that very night. Of course, the truth of such a tale is long lost to history. The blade itself, sadly, was not. Upon slaying it's latest wielder, Tanith had every intention of returning it her Order for purification. With her own blade shattered in her final battle as one of the living, and her new status as one of the damned, it would seem fate has other plans.

Sexual: Passion, light bondage (herself or others), rough sex, power play, light sadism/masochism, a little blood (being a vampire and all.)

Sexual: Bodily waste, excessive blood/violence, being passively submissive (she's a switch, but she likes anyone planning on dominating her in bed to earn it.)

Yes, I approve it (just remember if enchanting bow the longsword needs same enchants).

So went and took 6 instead 5 consider usual attrition of players in E and even if some were vocal about to join in but they did not post their chars (complete backgrounds and such) nor sheets. So you did lot work get done it fast during course of busy week with july 4 in between as well. I will open OOC tomorrow but note for ShadowFox89 to hurry to finish the sheet as I want IC thread started on sunday latest.
