Using Sex instead of Cha might also work wonders for a bard but the mention of a sexualized cleric/paladin makes me remember a paladin I didn't get to play not too long ago in a game that didn't get to start, Cerulean you built a cleric there. Um but let's await for what our DM says.

It's been a while... I almost forgot about this, I admit. I'll have to read over it again. You mentioned a map and starting city information in the opening post, but I don't see it anywhere here; did you put those up somewhere else?

Since you're adding a Sex stat and are willing to work with players to create custom options, I'm tempted by the idea of playing a sexual variant of something that makes use of it, if that might be acceptable... I don't have any specific ideas yet, though.

I'll have information on the starting area up here soon.

Thinking about it, I already have a handful of homebrew elements. SEX as a stat would make custom things grow quite a bit, that and it seems like it going to be a lot bigger than I had originally intended. So I am going to remove it. I am trying to make a game that is fun with story, not Sex with story and fun.

Oh, that's okay, then... I have plenty of other ideas. I'll be keeping an eye on things when more setting information is up, to see if I want to join (and if I feel like I could keep up with it).

I had forgotten about this as well but still willing to join. Adding a new stat for sex sounds interesting as do plot points, now before I think of a character I wonder is UA accepted?
Realizing I missed questions. I think it would depend on the UA. I will look through the UAs during/after work tomorrow

I'm interested. But about Warlocks: what about Undying Light ones? Where they have a connection to the source of all life? Though admittedly I'm considering a dragongirl (female sorcerer with dragonblood but it's very strong and she manifests minor dragon features)
*Did not know about Undying Light Warlock* This would definitely fit with the church and would be seen as a gift from god. You would be a rare priest if you chose to join the church, if not you could potentially pass as a member of the clergy because of the divine appearance of your magic.

- Edit -
World information is up, anything outside of what has been posted we can work together on when it comes to character backstories. Also feel free to ask questions.

Backstory
Adran Dremar Zandrien was born to above middle class merchant family, which was so rich they could had been nobles in practice already. He missed nothing in education, however early on since his birth a representative from true god's church approached his parents and told the one respected seers in church had foreseen birth of Adran and told if he had birth mark which semblance's holy symbol of true god, he is 'chosen one' for greatness in the church. He had the brand and thus much rejoice came to family as church started sponsor for Adran's training and education and granted noble status.

However not all things they could control and one of them was growing attraction of Adran and one house slaves; the maid whom he saw daily while growing up and first were secret friends but then later lovers as they both bloomed as teenagers into young man and woman. One day he was bathing and then with carnal lust he claimed her there and then; she resisted first but soon yielded to his physical dominance and learned to crave and enjoy it. It soon spiralled to private midnight marathons where Adran dived together with the maid into realm of carnal pleasures. Parents quickly learned it but did not mind, she was slave and favorite of Adran and considering how much spoiled he was they allowed him indulge his hedonistic desires with the beautiful slave.

But then her powers manifested soon after and church disapproved the union and what was going on, so parents were forced to sell the slave to the government as she was send to college where she was trained to become a weapon of the state. Despite all temper tantrums and protests Adran was not listened, but he then found a round about way to reclaim his precious slave back....to mercilessly climb in hierarchy of the church until he has enough influence and power to claim back what is his, damn the consequences! He himself gives no damn about her sorcery, useful trait and skill, not as source of potential corruption or evil inflicted on him. He views his precious slave as his property and someone who knew him deeply and his deeper emotions and desires....she was more than just a slave to him. But still he desires own her and he alone. May the heavens themselves burn if they happen cross their way with him between him and his desires. None the less he solidly believes on the teachings none the less, after all same teachings also predicted his rise to power after all.

His burning ambition led him become not just cleric of one true god; but start enter studies involving to one most feared branches of institution what makes other clerics sweat; Inquisition. His resolve, devotion and loyalty to teachings and to church was thoroughly tested and after many years enduring practice to detect 'heresy' and 'smite it upon sight with burning wrath of heavens' he was given title Purifier. Which is rank for member in inquisition who observes, judges and executes church laws against everyone; civilian, military, politician or even fellow cleric if present solid evidence of heresy. He worked for church to prove he indeed fit and is worthy as inquisitor and he had led 'witch hunts' and burned many unlawful arcanists with crusaders from the church to prove his ruthless loyalty and respect to church law. Most impressive is that he has so young age risen to such ranks so fast and that causes wrinkles on church at large, but it is thanks of his mentor who is member of Ember Corps, nobody questions his recommendations upon his favored pupil.

Favored Kink(s): Bondage, Dominance, BDSM, Corrupting victims into sex slaves, Impregnation

Name: Lia
Age/Gender/Height/Weight: 22/Female/182.8cm/86.1 Kg
Class: Warlock (Hexblade)
Alignment: Neutral
Religious: Is religious but believes in another faith that she conceals
Personality: Lia is generally content to live and let live unless threatened or attacked; or is given an assignment that requires force. Do not mistake sher for a pacifist though, that is a huge mistake; she's as willing and as able as anyone else to bring the pain and protect herself. Given sher long years of isolation, sshe is more or less oblivious to the niceities of social etiquette or expectations. She may lack tact but sshe doesn't lack in any mental capacity, though she does tend to trust her incredible charisma to carry sher through social situations. Though admittedly she does adlib most of it or mimics the behavior she's seen in others in the given situation.

she's incredibly aware that her magical gifts are unwelcome in society and takes great care not to openly exercise her powers. To the degree that she tries to pass himself off as an eldritch knight if she really has to openly use them.  she doesn't like to hurt people who are just doing their job and prefers to try and escape if deception fails.
Lia does not trust easily, but is personable --even likeable but she always has that edge of someone that's consistently observant of their surroundings. Though, when frustrated or her temper rises; she sometimes becomes very abrasive and insulting toward she target of her ire.

Backstory
Backstory: Lia is theillegitimate/bastard child of her family, born between a dalliance between her mother and a wandering sellsword in a moment of weakness. She has since achieved forgiveness and atoned since tshen but still views Lia as a black mark on sher "shining" record. she is the middle child of 6 and the only bastard; so she didn't have a real easy life, the clerical lessons were particularly vicious in reminding him that she was a product of sinfulness. Largely neglected throughout sher childhood, Lia took to wandering from theenvirons of the temple her family lived and worked in.

Eventually she'd meet up with a social pariah of sorts, someone else that nobody really seemed to give much of a damn about in thecommunity. Perhaps it was just the need to make friends or have someone that didn't think of eitsher of them as a stain on someone's record that made tshem fast friends. Lia's pariah friend was about the same age as her older brotsher; she told him that sshe'd been a considered a heretic for believing in something otsher than the patron "god" of theworld it seemed.

the older woman would sort of become the young girl's "mom" since sher own didn't really want him around despite all her "stepford smiling". Eventually thetwo would sneak out of thecity and she began to educate him on theworld outside of the temple and it's beliefs; opening the girl's eyes to thewider world around him. It would also provoke a deep and abiding sense of wanderlust as she grew older and when she was about 13 or 14 the woman named Raven would tell him of an ancient ruin she knew of a couple days from thecity wall.

Once they left the city; Lia would quickly find himself lost and alone after a couple days. she grew frightened that the woman she'd bonded with had abandoned him, feeling angry and betrayed she searcshed for a way back. Not knowing much of theworld; she'd soon end up in trouble and after a week or so of wandering deeper into a thick forest, Lia collapsed due to starvation, a short time after...

she felt lightsheaded, like she no longer felt sher body's weight or thedesperate gnawing hunger in thepit of sher stomach. When she looked up the world looked drained of color; gray, almost lifeless. Lia briefly wondered if that was what it was like to finally die and depart theworld that didn't want him, a sort of weary lassitude fell over him as she looked around. the girl wasn't quite gone yet but she was close enough to it that she'd see a gatshering flock of ravens nearby.

Curious to what they were doing; Lia would fight off the weakness and managed to stagger to her feet; the world fillin with color again slightly as thewill to live surged thanks to that. she felt pulled through thedense woodland into a dark cavern and soon came face-to-face with a sheavy marble door that hung slightly open. Just enough for him to squeeze through but collapsed inside.

Not knowing how long had passed; she reawoke on what must've been an ancient altar or something deep in the ruins. Wshen she did; she caught the faintest sight of a tall black haired woman in a long cloak turning to walk around a pillar and as she sat up to see who it was; tshere was nobody. However, she no longer felt weak nor hungry and a broken piece of a blade with a strange black rune on it sat next to him as well as a pendant of a raven, and a strange compulsion to stay where she was.
she'd explore theruins, finding all sorts of ancient writings that she'd come to somehow understand as well as remains of otsher explorer's that'd found tsheir way but seemingly were unwelcome. Lia had been spared death but now it seemed like theancient ruin she was in demanded something of him return. Everytime she examined thestrange pendant she now wore as  good-luck charm she felt theodd need to return to thealtar and pray. It would also feel like some sort of offering was desired; but as a young man she had nothing except a few drops of blood she used thebroken blade to draw and allow to drip onto it.

Over the years until she turned 17, Lia remained in the ruin that she'd come to understand through some sort of divine guidance was a temple to an ancient and forgotten deity. And she'd been offering sher prayer and small offerings for years; seeming to somehow attain a sort of favor. There were great ancient carvings that made little sense to Lia; but once she returned form a foray into a nearby logging settlement; she'd begin to copy thecarvings to study them further.

However, as all things come to an end; she'd feel that compulsion again; but this time it was more in the sense that was time to go out into the world again. It didn't seem to demand that she evangelize for the deity but perhaps quietly spreading word of her existence? There was alot she didn't understand, so part of her venture is to find a scholar that can help; however unlikely that is.

Favored Kink: Liahas never been exposed to sex or kink; so she has no concept of what it all is.

Though I was also considering a Bard of Glamour

I'm not so keen on the wooden dildo as a weapon on your character sheet, =). Both of those UA archetypes are perfectly acceptable.

Hiya! this seems very interesting and I'm in the process of writting up an arcane trickster at the moment! ;D

just wondering, to what extent can racial traits effect appearance? I'm taking the Cat's Talent racial trait, so I was mostly wondering what the verdict is on cat ears/tail? I figure people will treat him differently for it, which I'm fine with, but I think it would be neat C:

Effects of a character's appearance only go as far to keep them human in appearance. Pointed ears for Elvish traits, broader shoulders for Orcish traits. Perhaps with the Cat's Talents, your eyes narrow slightly similar to a cat's or human ears have very developed muscles often twitching more than a normal person's. Cat ears/tail aren't quite human so I would say no, but cat like eyes, perhaps your k9s are more profound than a normal person's. They're meant to be subtle things, ears/tail are not so subtle.

Backstory
Ever a cliche, Venarius was abandoned on the steps of a church-run orphanage as a baby. He was taken in, given a name that he no longer uses, fed, sheltered, and preached at by the priests who ran the church. He began to resent the priests and their religion at a young age, often questioning them and their long, tedious speeches. At first, his questions were treated as harmless, but that soon stopped. He was harshly disciplined every time he asked another "blasphemous" question, and the disciplines simply became more unbearable with every question asked. After a year or so of being shunned, locked in dark closets, denied basic needs, and occasionally being hit or worse, he learned to keep his mouth shut.

It was then that he began using his natural affinity for stealth to his advantage. He broke curfew, krept through the areas of both the church and Mistveil alike, getting himself and others into trouble. He found that, if pushed in just the right way, that his fellow orphans could be coerced into breaking rules and questioning authority. It became a game, pushing others again and again until he broke them. Children around his age had been so easy to break and abandon, his real challenge came in the form of a new caretaker named Mora. She was young, kind, and best of all had a desire to have children of her own.

He had thought to manipulate her into adopting him, because then he might be able to run. He hadn't put any thought into where he could go, but he didn't want to be stuck in an orphanage until his eighteenth birthday. He began spending every spare moment with her, trying to learn what made her tick and what key words would bend her the way he wanted. Instead, she saw through every single one of his tricks. He took this as a challenge, and spent nearly all of his time with Mora, even when there were other places to be. It was mostly tolerated because it kept him from the trouble he normally got into, and soon Mora's kindness rubbed off on him a bit. He was still selfish and downright cruel at times, but he was less likely to harm others unless he felt they deserved it.

Less than a year after Mora's arrival, she adopted him. It was different, but his new mother still worked at the orphanage so his time was mostly spent in the same areas. She didn't like him wandering far, and for some reason he listened to her. He could certainly sneak away, to the darker parts of Mistveil where they played those games he'd become so interested in. But he didn't. In his new home, Mora told him a real secret, something he could never tell anyone. She had been born a sorcerer, and when the church came to take her when her powers manifested she had ran several countries over.

They lived in peace for several months before Mora hurriedly gathered up whatever they could carry and fled for her life. Somehow, and she never gave him the exact story, she'd been discovered. She told him to call her either a variation of "mother" or Ren, and made him promise to never tell anyone their true origins. With his permission, she even cut off most of his hair and dressed him as a boy, the latter of which he never changed.

They moved to Antilia, where things were once again normal for several years. With more age and therefore freedom, Ven (called Theo at the time) once again found himself getting into trouble. He had quick fingers, a smooth tongue, and an affinity for making himself richer. He already knew how to talk himself out of tough spots, he simply learned new ways to get into those tough spots. By the age of fifteen, he regularly dabbled in whatever new crime he found interesting. Ren didn't approve, but she seemed to accept that he was easier to keep out of real trouble if she let him do as be wished. Real trouble, of course, meant magic.

Ren said she believed magic was a gift, but she refused to teach him anything. Of course, sorcerers worked different. He knew that, but he hadn't seen any reason she couldn't teach him the basics. Or helped him find a way to learn. For a while he was content running various scams and picking pockets, but it didn't last long. He found a seedy merchant with a smile faker than his own and put in a quiet request for any books that contained information on the magic wizards used. Soon, he had gathered together five books of various complexity that he carefully encoded and copied into unassuming little books with misleading names. He even went as far as burning the books, though it had pained him to do so. Every bit of evidence he could think of was taken care of. Even the money he had used to pay was stolen and untraceable.

Of course, something went wrong.

The merchant who had sold him the books had gotten arrested, and the idiot had been too spineless to keep his mouth shut. His was a name among dozens of others, but no one else had been so blantantly interested in learning magic. Worst of all, he didn't even take the fall. Ren did. Guards came to their home, and she had confessed in his stead on the spot. She told them her real name, where she had come from, that she'd been hiding from the church for years. And, in the sudden confusion of it all, she told him to run.

He picked a new name, cut his hair, and made his way to the nearest settlement where he could get transportation to Marchesa. He wasn't quite sure how he managed it, but he eventually found himself in Locus. There were so many people to keep track of, he figured as long as he kept himself off the map and his dabbles in magic relatively hidden, he deemed it safe enough to stay. He had spent nearly every last copper piece to get to Locus, but he'd been picking pockets and cheating at games of chance for years. He managed to find a small abandoned building to hole up in when he needed sleep or to hide whatever things he couldn't keep with him.

A couple months into his new life, he met a boy a couple years older than him who had formerlly trained with an older rogue. He and Dari started out closer to rivals than friends, but they quickly realized that they could both learn things from each other. They eventually combined their respective hideouts into a home they paid for together, both using money from various schemes and crimes. Venarius learned how to use thieves' tools and communicate using thieves' cant, as well as general fighting and the like over the next few years.

Of course, he never gave up on learning magic. Without formal training and with most of his attention on roguish passtimes, he certainly didn't become a master wizard. He gained a basic understanding of some simple spells, the most helpful of which being mage hand. Using it, he could pick pockets and locks with even less effort. It took him some practice to become acquainted with the process, but he has become skilled enough to cause quite a bit of trouble.

Recently, he traveled the short distance between Locus and Song Quarry to procure a "delicate" shipment for a client. He isn't certain what the shipment contains, but he was intrigued by the lack of information and surplus payment.

Favored Kink: Venarius is more or less asexual, but he has a soft spot for people who are better at the things he prides himself on being good at (sleight of hand in particular, but also acrobatics, deception, persuasion, intimidation, stealth, and using thieves' tools). Dominant people, in general.

Edited my sheet, now my char is 5th level and I wrote extra paragraph about his career in church and what sort ranking he has achieved so far in the church. I hope Zame does not mind me adding Inquisition into church structure (Ember Corps remain as elite strike squad but they are backed by investigating inquisitors). Also I wonder how you thought Light is less violent? Perhaps philosophy wise to inspire populace (and thus reason for performance skill is for my char able do inspiring tales and sing in divine voice), but most spells in Light list go 'Blast heathens!' in approach.

as much as I would like to try this game. My rolls are just to horrid to attempt. 3 sets 1] had 1 a 7 and a 8 and nothing above 14; 2] had a 8, 3x 10s and a max of 14 and the 3] had a 6, an 9 and a 16. Fun part is that point wise none of the rolls were above 20 point buys

Your character would be a perfect fit as an inquisitor, specially if you're trained an Ember Knight. All green on the inquisition btw, there would have been more than one through out history, with the Ember corp going in to end each one in flames.

Light being less violent is purely a facade, for the general populace.

as much as I would like to try this game.

You can ask GM mercy to allow re-roll or get stat bonus to one your sets to match closer with others :)
You can re-roll if you'd like I'm not going to be too picky over starting stats.

Ok, so inquisition is church police but at times it had grown corrupt and Ember Knights had done the purge in those times (as in past inquisition had abused it's authority and such or thought they can bully/command ember corps). I imagine present inquisition is based on clerics trained by ember corps members (ember knights and such), to ensure the corruption part should not be issue.

Originally had put forth another sorceress character idea.   Still staying in the idea a changed it up a bit and put this one forth.

Name:  Woman
Age/Gender/Height/Weight:  45, female, 5'1" 126 lbs
Class:  Sorceress
Alignment:  Neutral
Religious  No not at all

Personality:  Submissive in nature from a life time of being a  pleasure slave.

Backstory:  Woman is a life long slave.   Until recently she has not known a life outside of being a slave.   A beautiful woman who now at forty five years of age.   Her master of the past thirty or so years.   Has recently died,  he had been in occult rituals looking to extend his life with the help of a warlock.    Whose patron is a fiend.    Woman who is all she had ever been called.   Was used in some of those rituals.  This started about three years ago. when she was around forty two years of age.   These rituals did not keep her master from dying.   Yet it did something else.   It awoken the inherent well of magic that is within Woman.    Revealing her to be a sorceress.  For three years she did her best to hide this fact from her master and the world.

Now her master was a expert in being a tattooist.   So she of course assisted and often finished tattoos for her master.  Especially when he grew older and his eye sight started to give way.    She is a very insightful person.   Of course mention she was and still is a pleasure slave and she performs well in such.    Even now as she is in her advanced middle age.   With her hair having turned gray.

Those three years with the warlock working through supposed rituals to extend her masters life.   Helped Woman to learn about religion.   Through she is not religious as she does not believe the gods care one way or another.   She through has good amount of knowledge on religion thanks in part to the warlock.

So Woman is unique she is not your standard adventurer,  who is starting off in life then as a older teen and looking to experience and make a name in life.   Her life has been as  a slave.  Now she finds herself with her masters old artisan tattooist set.   It is all she owns.  She scampers for handouts and will perform favors for food.  As now she finds herself without home and master.

Kinks:  Being used,  she enjoys such and has been miserable since losing her master.   Even through it had been the warlock who had been using her the last few years on a regular basis.

I'm very interested in this, and will work on a character ASAP!

Edit: Ack, just noticed it was on R20!  As much as I love it, I can't set a schedule for it at the moment.   Sorry!
