Ten months ago the world was devastated when massive scale explosion took place in the heart of one of its first cities wiping out millions of innocent bystanders while opening what seemed to be a dead zone in its place. At first glance, there was no activity though as of recent updates from scientist indicates that the opposite has befallen us. All over the world, it seems these dead spots have appeared with fewer casualty rates. A secondary screen pops into view in places such as Japan, Russia, Europe, South America, and even both Artics have been touched by those big spots, but unlike the first, each contained large orbs. Each was hitting in places that were not as condensed, but instead of leaving just deviation in its wake they also brought what seemed to be Mysterious Beings.In simplest form Monsters with various level of sentience that terrorize the cities of the entire planet and pose a threat to society. 'Over the last few months these monsters have been appearing more frequently, but humanity is still unaware of how most of these creatures come into our world. Some of the mysterious beings come from human backgrounds who were turned into monsters as well. How that happens is still a mystery of its own. The frequency of these Mysterious Beings surfacing are sporadic as they do not have a steady enough pattern to know where or when they are coming. To mitigate this, a Task Force was created by pooling the resources this organization is an international alliance of twenty-one countries across the world bound together by the shared goal of containing, combating and eliminating the threat fo these beings from further harming humanity. Following the first attacks in Hong Kong, Peru, United States, Russia, and Japan. A conference was conducted in an undisclosed location the meeting granted scientists opportunity to present their ideas, prompting the United Nations to set aside their differences and work together. The Task Force was founded though they would encounter problems in the following months correctly implementing and calculating the required workforce of manning the task force, they would eventually succeed, urging the public to offer their support of the program. During the first few months, the Task Force promoted their cause, asking for the assistance of the public through propaganda. They provided those who volunteered for their cause with jobs in the construction of the central city and a chance to enlist for the Task Force Member Program. The Task Force also advocated rationing to the populace of the one general area to maintain financial stability. The methods promotion also included promoting task force members to make public appearances, raising them to the status of worldwide celebrity. To battle, the M.B.'s (Mysterious Beings) the men and women of the Task Force have been required to have surgery to install a small part of the monsters which they have killed into their body. There is a modified process which differs significantly from similar depending on whether they are male or female. Those who undergo this procedure is called Operators and have abilities unique to them alone. The method used to become an Operator, it is believed to make them safer and seemingly allows the user to adapt with their powers. This process involves coating the severed part in steel and then implanting it with a unique system of "frames" to regulate function and acts as a system of control. There is a total of five frames, with each subsequent frame increasing or decreasing the potential output by 20%. This process limits the potential strength of their ability and restricts its form as compared to living Mysterious Beings. Once an Operator has shown that are competent, they can petition their superiors to undergo the frame release surgery. Any member is initially set to F2, the second frame, giving them 40% potential power. Currently, none of the current members have undergone Frame Release surgery. I'm looking to make a small group game of at the very least eight people. I've tried to make various other games with a much larger gathering hoping to get people, so I've decided to do a small one and see who it goes. For right now this is just an interest check to see if anyone is interested in the game before throwing out the character sheet. At a minimum four people not includeding myself. Hopefully, it gets enough interest as I've spent the last week making ideas and fleshing this out in my spare time.

I know there are a few questions that someone of you must have, and I would like to answer them to the best of my ability. It came to my attention that those that have skimmed this interesting thread might not have an idea as what kind of personalities, backgrounds, ages etcetera fit, it's a bit too vague for anyone to get a sense of what to make of it. So let me explain to the best of my ability. I want a colorful cast of characters though nothing off the wall. That will make me regret having accepted your character, yes originality is amazing, and we all should explore it, but for the sake of my sanity and others. For backgrounds, you have free reign as long as it does not go against this guidelines.

This is the guidelines when making a Bare minimum the character. Must be able to pass basic standards for joining the military. No criminal record as the government does not allow that kind of behavior anymore. No tolerance for illegal drugs uses, etc. I understand we all want to be a badass. You must remember that we have many places where your character can be from as it's a global recruitment. Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma. Lastly a physical medical exam.


How will we be starting off in the game?

The answer is quite easy to say. All of the characters will start off without powers though there will be a way to face the Mysterious Beings when we start off. I will explain more in detail about how. Those within the task force will be given weapons that can harm the monsters along with protecting them from fatal damage. If you have ever seen or played the games God Eater or any of the Monster Hunter series, but that will give a decent understanding on what I mean. Below is a concept of what they would look like though later adaptations will change. They sacrifice mobility for survivability and power, but once your character can obtain their power it is not entirely required to use these, but those who do will get benefits as well. Let us just say there will be an alternate path alongside using powers.
