Elven Sex Goddess

Well here is a character that was from a game some two years ago.   That had died like many games.  A lot of time in the prep, then we get started in the game.   Then like many times it just simply died.   I cannot remember the reason,  it really does not matter as the game just simply faded and became like a lot that have promise and just ends in the graveyard of games.   The character if memory recalls started at 3rd level and made it to 4th level.    I have adjusted her to be 5th level for submitting for the game.   Wahida Samura, she is a human dervish dancer bard.

I'm more interested in the profile at the moment than the mechanics. Tell me about your Bard.

Being Literate is the ability to read and understand a language. When you ask for literate, what you are looking for is Verbosity, which is the ability to use lots of words without actually saying very much... like politicians. I consider myself both literate and verbose.

I have Leily, a Winter Witch who is an agent of her remote village to gain information on the world. She was selected at a young age to become a guardian of the village, and the villages patron sent a vision to the Grand Witch saying they needed eyes in the world at large, and as such Leily was sent.

She was originally 10th level, but I can scale her back to just beginning to go into the Winter Witch Prestige Class.

I'd like to toss my character in for consideration. She is a gnome Rogue/Mage (eventually Arcane Trickster) and student of the occult and an incorrigible prankster and wise ass. She loves utility spells and using illusions to carry out her heists. I Would have one request that her familiar be a Tessym (The winged cats of the Forgotten Realms) if not I can switch the improved familiar feat out for something else. She was a long-time character in a friends campaign that fell apart and she was one of my favorite chracters. She was 12th level but I dialed her back, I might need to make a few more tweaks. The pic is one a friend did of her, the long braid is the mark of a secret sisterhood she belonged to that I could detail more if she is selected.

Well, a surprising number of interested players. I'm not closing things quite yet as I really don't have much information on the characters being offered yet.

What I'm going to do is to start asking for character profiles, which will be a significant portion of what the selection process will involve. Another significant part will be what would fit in best with a party that I'm looking for. A perfect fit isn't required by any means, but a willingness to to work together will be.

So, at this point, I would ask for the following things.

1. A character profile, including something about the character's personality, backstory and ambitions (ie: potential sub-plot material for me to play with). I do not need a character sheet or mechanics at this stage. It won't make very much difference to the selection process in the grand scheme of things.

2. A link to the game in which the character was played (preferred) or accepted/offered for a game. Please again note that this is about abandoned characters that have seen play time, not so much about chracters offered for a game. I really don't want to have to go looking for threads years old to see how the character was played/portrayed.

3. Respond to the following prompt, in the character's voice. There isn't a right or wrong answer; merely an indication of how the character thinks...

You awake suddenly; the room in which you settled down for sleep dark as pitch before your eyes... something triggered that unconscious primitive part of your brain... something that whispered that something in the room had changed. Something in the darkness that seemed much too unrelieved to your eyes even though the embers of the fire in the hearth should of broken that complete lack of light.

Then, without warning, a cloak falls to reveal the banked embers; the glow just enough to throw features into stark relief... a man dressed in dark cloathing sits in a chair and while you can't see his eyes in the gloom, you know that he is looking right into your eyes...

Sharilnea Sebreden is a Gnome Rogue and thief. She was orphaned in a war and raised on the streets, never having known her parents in any significant way. She stole and begged to stay alive. Shar was found by rapscallion of an Arcane trickster by the name of Kerena Vas who schooled her in the fine arts of thievery and magic. Karena was known in the region by her long braid that fell well past her waist. The braid is the mark of the Sisterhood of the Silver Blade an organization formed centuries ago by the widows and orphans of a village whose men had all fallen prey to a vile beast after they had foolish believed a group of farmers could do battle with a magical creature. The Sisterhood's stated mission is to aid those unable, or too foolish, to aid themselves. (Though so named and originally only consisting of women the group accepts all genders).  Sharilena became a dutiful apprentice and was inducted into the Sisterhood as she served Kerena for the next year. Sadly, Karena vanished while on a job to smuggle abused children the city Tel Ashna leaving Sharilena to finish the job alone. Shar wandered for some time after the death of her savior and mentor before she found companionship in Xelric, her Tressym familiar, friend, and partner in crime. A strong believer in the "robin hood" ethos, of a sort,  Sharilena steals for the wealthy keeping a percentage for herself but the lion's share is funneled to pay for a series of secret "hidey holes" in various large cities. These bolt holes, hidden in swears, the sub-basement of taverns and other places provide shelter and food for the urchins of the city. The urchins, in turn, act as eyes and ears for Sharilena. She does all of this through various intermediaries so she does not openly take credit or expose herself. The urchins only speak of the "little mother" who looks after them, without knowing how appropriate the title "little" actually is. Never forgetting her roots Shar also allocates money to see that urchins are protected from most predators, the worst of these she deals with herself.

Sharilena loves pranks and illusions and uses them on her friends as readily as she does to confound her enemies on when on the job. Illusions can lead guards in the wrong direction and obscure escape routes, in a similar vein they can liven up any room with a bit of humor. Some would call Shar a mass of contradictions, she can be compassionate to those she deems worthy of compassion but she can be ruthless to those who prey on the weak and the downtrodden, she has an almost pathological hatred of bullies. That said, she has little patience for those who are victims but who refuse to accept help or who insist on remain victims. She is fun loving and rarely serious but when she become serious she can be deadly. Sexually Sharilena is extremely reserved needing a strong emotional connection to her partners. That requirement means she has only had 2 or 3 partners in her life.

The Sisterhood, Shar's mentor, her connections to the urchins and the enemies she has made because of it

Does the character have to be from an online game? Mine is from a table top game so I can't provide this step. If that disqualifies her then I'll gracefully bow out.

Shar bolted awake with a start scanning the room as she ran her hand through her long braid. The gesture was a common one for her and it served two purposes--- first, the length of her braid often drew looks, attracting attention and buying her time and second, it allowed her to ensure the extra set of thieves tools she kept hidden there were still in place. Her next order of business was finding Xelric's lazy ass, their connection indicated he was off to her left. Without any regard for the man who's eyes were boring into her Shar stood and looked to the left to find Xel napping on a shelf. He lifted his head and yawned widely, opening one eye as he looked down at the man then to Shar. Lazy ass beast, she thought but she knew through the link that he would be ready if she needed him.

So to business then. She turned and faced the fellow in the chair tilting her head as she stood before him in her small clothes before padding on bare feet back to the bed and sitting there legs cross beneath her as she stared back at the figure across the room. The room was quiet and still except for the slight crackle of the embers from the fireplace that was far darker than it had any right to be. Shar was patient---when it came to some things at least--- so she sat there engaged in a staring match in the dark.  The figure remained silent so she followed suit for a time. Finally, Shar broke the silence with her sing-song lilt. "Well if one of us does not speak then we will be here all night. Oh wait---I just spoke, didn't I. Well, I don't suppose you snuck into my room to bring me a cup of tea but then I doubt you came to kill me either because as quiet as you are I imagine I'd still be lying in the bed here, only I'd have sprouted a dagger or twenty, or are you a poison man?." She paused hopping up and heading to the hearth to stoke the fire. Whatever this character wanted her immediate death did not seem to be it, that or he wanted to scare her some first. An intimidator, a spy, or someone who wanted something, those were the most likely answers. "Well, I'm making tea, rose petal and honey if you want some," she offered listening for any movement from behind as she got the fire going again and hung the kettle to boil. Turning she found the light did not touch the area around the stranger, she noted that and added it to the catalog of things she knew about him. It was not much but every little bit helped.

Would magic set the fellow off, she wondered. But what good would that do? Detecting magic at this point would be like using a magnifying glass to determine if the sun was up---that is, painful and likely to tell her what was patently obvious. She sat for a bit until her water boiled at which point she rose and moved over and poured a cup letting it steep before adding a small bit of extra honey then she moved back to the bed blowing the steam off the top of the cup as she settled back in. She was unsurprised to find Xelric had moved and stolen a spot on her pillow while her back was turned. She waited until her tea had cooled to a manageable temperature before taking a sip, then she was ready.

"Look my friend, or whoever you are, we have already gotten the murder business out of the way, at least as far as in my sleep is concerned. If someone sent you to scare me then they picked the wrong guy, or you need to work on your technique. Now if you had done some research you might know what creeps me out, I'm not telling though, so if that is your aim then what say you head out and rethink then when you are ready, get back to me. In that case, I'll look for you tomorrow night or whenever. If on the other hand, you want something, or there is another possibility I did not cover, then could you do me the courtesy of getting on with it. Lastly, if you insist on sitting there playing dark and ominous then I'm going back to sleep, and praying to the gods that you don't snore. I, however, snore like a dragon with the flu so I apologize in advance."

With that he went back to her tea if the figure had not spoken by the time she was done she was going back to sleep and Xelric would just have to move his dman ass to the side.

I hate when one of the dogs gets me up at 3:00 in the morning.

To answer the above question...

"1. The Character being offered must have been played before on E, and I must be able to find it. I'm willing to consider characters rejected for a game, but I'm primarily looking for those characters that we've invested time in playing before the game disappeared out from under it. As an example, I have a 10th level ranger who played for about 5 months, got captured and the game continued on for a couple more weeks before it died. The actual amount of time played isn't important, just that it had seen game time."

So, I'm afraid that this is limited to characters that have been played on the site, I'm sorry; She seemed like a very interesting character in the overall view.

Being Literate is the ability to read and understand a language. When you ask for literate, what you are looking for is Verbosity, which is the ability to use lots of words without actually saying very much... like politicians. I consider myself both literate and verbose.

Well I'll drop my interest then. My cavalier was accepted for a game, the ooc where sheets were posted was set up and we all posted in it but the game died before any ic posts occurred.

Blinkin

If the character was accepted into a game on E, I will consider it.

Taavia Perkele (Dwarven Fighter) Chulinowa\

Missing: Response to Scenario.

Sassarilla (Unchained Monk) Elven Sex Goddess
Missing: Profile, response to scenario.
Wahita Samura (Bard) Elven Sex Goddess
Missing: Profile, response to scenario.

Missing: Response to scenario.we’ll see what happens if selected.

Leily (Witch)  Xunthrae
Missing: Profile, game link, response to scenario

Other various interest, but have only given a class or race with or without mechanics.

No worries. Thought I'd give it a stab. Best of luck to all the rest.

Chulanowa

Want to borrow some of mine? Lord knows there's enough to go around!

Blinkin

Well, on day 18 and as no one has settled on a character that they would like to play, and while several have offered a class and/or a race... there simply doesn't seem to be enough interest to form a viable party.

I want to thank everyone who did offer interest or character concepts, but I'll bring another potential thread to a close.
