Years ago, a man struck a deal with a pirate. The pirate, already successful and commanding a fleet, would sink the mans competitors ships and allow the mans to pass through. In return, the man would provide he pirate with a title and position. After all, the man had those but no wealth. The deal was sealed with the promise that when the mans only child came of age, the pirate would marry her.
As the years passed, the man now possesses a trade monopoly but has forgotten who elevated him to such wealth.
His daughter is now 18 and it is time for him to choose her husband.
