Hi all,

I'm new to all of this, but I figured I would throw my ideas out there and see if anyone is interested. I'm happy to RP on the fora or via various messaging services. Please send me a PM if something strikes you as interesting, and we can work out the details.

What to expect from me: You can find my Ons and Offs in my signature. In general, I am a switch-y guy who isn't so much into non-con or extreme topics, but likes to think big in terms of plot and world building. I don't think it's realistic to ask someone to commit to a super long-term RP sight unseen, but even for shorter scenarios, I like to be thinking about the larger context. I tend to be available for posting/chatting two or three times a week. My update style tends to be in the two or three paragraph range - I avoid being a one-liner guy, but I also avoid the giant wall of text style (just not my thing).

What I expect: One or two updates a week. Reasonable spelling and grammar. OC communication via PM about absences and preferences.

My ideas:

Boys and girls in the band (M/F): Guy in a shitty touring band meets a girl in a different, shitty touring band. They cross paths a few times as their vans criss-cross the country and they play shows together at dive bars. Romance (or maybe just lust) is kindled in the process. They have to navigate being stuck apart for long periods of time and the temptations of being on the road (or maybe they're totally open and cool with that kind of thing). Whoever takes this one would have to be okay with me RPing a character that wants to talk abour crumby punk bands all the time. I realize that this might be of limited interest, but I figured I would throw it out in any case.

Decline and fall of a galactic empire (M/F/aliens?): This one is a little more nebulous (no pun intended). I'm definitely thinking about things like Dune, Jupiter Ascending, and the history of the Roman Empire. Lust and romance set amidst the decedent court of a crumbling galactic empire. Maybe the story of a star general and concubine (with the genders flipped in either direction) or courtiers having a secret affair? I'm thinking space opera to the melodramatic maximum for this one.


Mediterranea (M/F): I'm a huge nerd about late antiquity and the Dark Ages. I'd love to work on an RP set somewhere between the peak of the Roman Empire and the rise of the Middle Ages. Maybe an epic romance with Rome being overrun by Goths as the background? Or Antioch being overrun by Arabs? Or Greece overrun by Huns? There are lots of possibilities, I suppose.


Dress-up (M/F): I really, really enjoy scenarios where a powerful male character asks a female character to dress-up (or disrobe) for him. Maybe he's a photographer or a controlling boss or a college professor, but he's definitely willing to go to any length to provide her with all of the adornment that she needs. It might be fun to work some exhibitionism/voyeurism/humiliation into this sort of thing as well, if that's to your liking.
