Google -- Chrome

So. I have decided, after too long of using this browser, that I don't like it. Not one bit.

Where I work we use Google calendar, which enables me to keep track of my boss' comings and goings, as well as which Court she needs to be at on any given day.

Yesterday, a little silhouette of a person appeared in the top right hand corner. So, being the inquisitive individual that I am, I clicked on it and was invited to sign into Google Chrome. Which I did. What I didn't realize, was that it would also change my settings on my home computer. I've lost all my bookmarks  that I utilize on a daily basis.

I want to go BACK to how it was before I allowed my curiosity to get the better of me. I've tried signing out, but for some reason I am not given that option. I'm allowed to "switch user".

So I don't end up kicking myself in the ass anymore than necessary, is there someone out there that can help? I'm a little bit desperate at this point, and would appreciate any and ALL suggestions. Though throwing the computer out, or otherwise doing any form of damage is not an option... wish it was, however!

I make sure to keep my work and home Chrome accounts separate for this reason and have a separate sign in for each.

Do you have an export backup of your bookmarks saved anywhere?

If not, I did find this article -- but it sounds like you may be too late if you have closed out your chrome browser since the bookmarks were lost:

I'm in the same boat as you. I just got it sorted out, but I think Briar's right, if you close it out you lose your bookmarks. I'm putting all mine back in now.

I keep work and home separate, too. But again, I got too inquisitive and thought, "Oh goody! I can get this at the house, too!" Which, again, was a bit much for me to have done. But, oh well! Lesson learned.

I've applied the link provided and am thankful that some of my bookmarks are still available. The others I'll hunt up again and add to them.

Another thing --- I was able to "disable" or "delete" the little person thing from that top right hand corner, but it left me in the same dilemma as before -- no bookmarks.

BUT!!!!! At least I know NOT to do that again!!!!!
