Pandora's Box - (F) seeking (M) or (F)

On her 18th birthday, Pandora Quill arrived home from school to an empty residence. Her parents were at work, her two brothers at soccer practice. Sitting in the middle of the dining room table was a large wrapped box. Upon examination, a small tag was located underneath the blossoming bow, reading "To: Pandora". However, next to "From:" was an unfilled blank space.

Pandora figured the best course of action would be to wait until everyone had returned, then open the present. The family would wish to be there for this moment, after all. Curiosity, though, got the best of her. She delicately peeled back the papering, enough to reveal a business logo scripted across the cardboard.

This must be some mistake, Pandora thought. Or perhaps a gag gift. Certainly, her siblings had a penchant for such things. It stuck her, however, that never before, amidst their sometimes comedic behavior, had there been anything remotely sexual in nature.

Perhaps it was from a friend, but that didn't seem right either. Intimate matters weren't discussed, not that Pandora had any of note to share. Not unless you count a kiss on the cheek from Christian Parsons way back in the 8th grade.

Before Pandora could contemplate any further, the kitchen door opened, followed by her mother and father. They must have sensed the puzzled look on her face, as their gaze turned to the dining area. Pandora wasn't able to gather any clues from their expression in that brief moment. As there was a clamoring of footsteps and keys, then both brothers making their way in through the front entrance. Initially engaging in some meaningless banter with one another, which was laced with some kind of sports terminology, the boys noticed the brightly encased packaging. And, from there, a silence filled the house.
