lost in a parallel Earth

In this one, I could be part of a bank robbery crew, fleeing a safehouse after a raid. Somehow, I would drive through a portal that formed, leaving me in a parallel US, one where the Axis powers won the war, but theres a resistance movement there. My double there could have been the lover and second in command of the leader, but she could have been killed.

If not that, then she could have been the lover of the commander of the local occupation forces, either one would work well.
