What I'm looking for: I'm looking for a long-term, character-driven RP where plot takes precedence over smut.  Don't get me wrong, smut is great, but to me it's sexier when there' some context, when the characters have a reason to want each other. There's something quite enthralling about creating a story with someone else that you just don’t get when you're writing solo. I prefer to play over the forum or PMs.

I usually play male characters, and I only play opposite female characters. Usually I'll play a dominant character, but I'd prefer to play against a character that had some bite to her rather than some meek and willing slave. I've also found that pregnancy is a turn-off for me. I've tried it in the past, but I've come to realize it's just not my thing. You can see a full list of my ONs and OFFs here, and some writing samples here.

Post length: Normally I'll post 2-4 paragraphs, but can do more or less depending on how the story is flowing. I know this is the part where I'm supposed to say "no one-liners." After all, one-liners don't give you much to respond to. But sometimes one-liners can be good. If you've got a good dialogue going, it's easier to write in shorter posts than to write an essay with the quip buried somewhere in it. That said, sometimes you really need to flesh out a scene with a detailed post.

Posting frequency
: I try to post several times a week (usually 3 or 4).  If I’m going to be absent or slower to respond, I’ll be sure to let you know.

I have more details about the specific plot I'm interested in below. If you're interested, feel free to send me a PM and we'll work out the details.

PLOT: From Slave to Lady

Sir Damen Brecht is a tall, dark-eyed man of 30, a hardened warrior and a savage gentleman. He is cunning and can be quite cruel, but he is also brave and loyal, both nearly to a fault. He was raised in the noble courts of his homeland, the son of a common soldier who had earned knighthood. Damen grew up in a life of privilege, but knighthood is not hereditary, and the young man had to win his spurs through the long road of serving as a page, squiring, and finally winning his knighthood in battle. For the past ten years, he has fought in a foreign land, bringing glory to his homeland, not to mention the spoils of war. Now, at long last, the two countries have reached a treaty, and it is time for Sir Damen to return to his home. But not before he purchases a little something to remember his adventures by.

When he first enters the slave markets, he thinks he’ll buy a pretty young girl to use as his whore, to turn her into a lowly concubine and take her whenever he wanted, however he wanted. But when he lays eyes on a certain girl, suddenly he’s overcome with a passion far deeper than lust. He buys her and takes her as his lover, though he is surprisingly kind with her. It seems that only she can deflect his often black moods. And though he maintains firm boundaries as to who is the master and who the servant, it becomes clear to many that he is starting feel more strongly about his sex slave than is strictly wise.

He takes her back to his homeland, and shows her the wonders and intrigues of his kingdom. The war may be over, but the land is far from tranquil. Damen longs to improve his station in life, become a true noble, not merely a knight. But many in court may see his obsession with this foreign slave girl as a sign of weakness. And surely she could not give him children fit to inherit a noble title, some whisper. And though Damen is his slave girl’s master, so too must he serve masters. Through the complicated mechanisms of chivalry, Damen is pledged to serve both Duke Halliard and the monarch Duke Halliard serves, the Boy King Mathys. And when a feud breaks out between Duke Halliard and King Mathys, Sir Damen must take a side and make a powerful enemy.
