Time for another attempt at this awesome game idea of mine. Basically put, the crew, all of you, are human bounty hunters or what ever, and crash land on a planet that is filled with civilizations of different anthromorphs. Catfolk, wolf folk, bunny girl monk clans, etc etc. So you'll have to try to repair your ship while dealing with the locals, whom can use magicks, something that none of you have had any experience with.
This is where I have to mod Pathfinder a tad to get it to work for all of you. Since you are the sci-fi part of the mashup, stuff like wizard and spells and magical items are unknown to you from the start. Classes will have to be limited to stuff that makes sense: fighter, rogue, and gunslinger would be the main three. Those three wouldn't need much of any changes to make them work in a sci-fi environment, as I would just give them blaster proficiency. Knowledge engineering would also be a trained skill for these three, since you would all be somewhat capable of engineering and repairing the ship.
Certain magical items can be made into high tech without any problems. Magical arms and armor can be done easily, as they can just be higher tech or cybernetic to explain their powers. This would have to be discussed on a case by case basis to determine what works with your own ideas.
-Level 6 and at starting gold.
-Try to limit it to 3-4 people. Need a captain, engineer, pilot, and medical.
-Only human as a race.
-Maybe only people from the west coast or something. I just hate waiting a whole day for one post rotation, just because we are all over the road. That would be ideal but hardly a requirement.
