Desperado Enforcement, LLC - a Counter-Merc. Group
« on: May 15, 2013, 08:17:53 PM »

Desperado Enforcement, LLC is a rogue professional mercenary group that operates completely outside of the law. They are willing to do whatever it takes with no moral boundaries or adherence to the petty laws of government entities. Corporations and small countries with limited personnel love to hire organizations like Desperado Enforcement because they will take essentially any mission offered presuming the cash is right too. This organization is run by one of the most wanted and elusive criminals alive today; Ghost. If you're looking for an organization that's a lot less goody-2-shoes than Black Hearts, Inc., Desperado Enforcement, LLC is probably the organization for you.

You read that right, Desperado Enforcement is part of the same role play game as Black Hearts, Inc. is. Vostroya will be you leader but I will be your game master. This means I will give the organization its missions. The purpose of Desperado is to function as a sort of counter to Black Hearts, there will be intrigue and outright conflict. You are not the sole perpetrators of conflict, nor will Black Hearts be the sole perpetrators of conflict for Desperado. Your characters will not be bound by the same laws, though there is no non-consensual sex in the game allowed.

Missions will be created mostly by Red Offerings, they'll be quite a variety. Players of the team can also come up with ideas and work them in if they like, no pressure. I'm also a fan of random occurrences, which means I might roll a die or something to determine if something absolutely crazy happens. I like dice for off-handed things like that. But otherwise I think this thing will be basically freeform. Men and women can be mercs, former cops or military are definitely preferred.

SAVING... (still working on it!)

Desperado Enforcement, LLC Employee Dossier No: xxx-xx-3451,
Name: Sparrow
Age: 27
Gender:  Male
Occupational Specialty:  Infantry; Airborne and Amphibious Assault Trooper
Bionics or Cybernetics?:  Advanced high capacity artificial lungs; artificial filtering lungs.
How long have you been with Desperado?: Four years
Marital or Familial Status: None
Specialized Weaponry:  Prefers the Steyr AUG A3 Carbine with 16" barrel and 40mm grenade launcher, with removable telescopic riflesight.
Prior Occupation:  Infantryman for French Foreign Legion;  Paratrooper for United States Army.
Physical Description: Sparrow is a blonde-haired, blue-eyed Caucasian male in his late 20s.  He bears numerous scars, earned across a number of battlefields.  See below.
http://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/114972.jpg
http://www.yojoe.com/feature/fcs/beachhead/beachhead2.jpg
Personality:  Sparrow is a combat veteran suffering from PTSD.  Like most Army Rangers, he demonstrates a highly conscientious personality, in that he is competent, dutiful, self-disciplined and deliberate.  However, he has has little regard for loyalty and the truth.  He is unable to express his feelings, and has difficulty demonstrating empathy.  Though he isn't secretive, he isn't particularly open.  Invariably, he is egotistical, impulsive, aggressive, cold, antisocial, impersonal and stubborn.  He can follow orders, but needs to create elaborate schemes to complete mission parameters for the sake of poetic panache.  He deludes himself into believing that joining the LLC is a revolutionary brand of romantic adventurism, but the truth is, Sparrow could never adjust to civilian life.  Not after what he has seen.

Sparrow lives a life of absolute rigidity outside of the battlefield.  He can control his body, even though he cannot always control his mind.  This includes a strict adherence in constitutionals, victuals, vitamin supplements, training, etc.  Though the LLC provides an excellent healthcare option, Sparrow chooses to forego opioid analgesics and mood-altering benzodiazepines.

On the field, Sparrow becomes much more livelier.  He likes to tell stories and he loves to do his job.

History:  Sparrow was born and raised in Alexandria, West Virginia.  (Urg...)

Wait, there's a posting frequency requirement?

I go by the set feel give by the players more than I come up with my own random ideal. So judging by the last few days that we have been playing 1 to 2 times a day seems typical. For people who are directly interacting with others that is fair so as not to keep someone waiting for two or three days for a simple reply. But for people who are not interacting, there is no necessity to post as frequently since no one is waiting on you. HOWEVER I think this game will be a little faster paced and if you cannot post at least once a day typically, you will find yourself lost and left behind. Again the tempo has been set by the players.

I'm fine with people posting once a day if they have one character. With the understanding that they might have interactions cut off if things re moving faster one day, etc. that's pretty reasonable.

Well that's up to you. But I did say that as long as you're 1)prepared to play catch up when things are moving swiftly, and sometimes they will 2) Don't get deeply involved with interaction so that people are stuck waiting for you to post. Or at the very least don't be surprised if they have to move on so they can keep playing.

Edit: I realize I didn't finish my sentence. But as long as you're cool with that, I'm cool and it will be fine. I have people in the group right now who only post once a day and one who has only posted once and that was yesterday morning. He's fine because he didn't engage anyone, so he's not bugging anybody.

Desperado Enforcement, LLC Employee Dossier No: 668-05-1605
name: Kyle Allardice, Alias; Doc
age: 24 deceased: Currently presumed;27
gender: Male
occupational specialty: High Altitude insertions, Personnel Recovery, Medicine, Rifleman.
any bionics or cybernetics?: virtual retinal display HUD, various muscles and bone grafts
how long have you been with Desperado?: 2 years
marital or familial status: Parents; Mother deceased,Father detained by the military indefinitely;  Not married, No siblings.
specialized weaponry: Assault Rifles and Hand guns, advance accommodations for hand to hand and disarmed combats through the military.
prior occupation: Air Force Combat Rescue Officer, Pararescue Jumper.

mirror, mirror on the wall: Height: 6'3", Weight: 220, Athletically built from years of constant training, Hair: Black when it grows in but usually kept as stubble at its longest, Eyes: brown, Distinguishing Features: Heart Tattoo of his lovers name over his heart, a lucky dice tattoo reminding him that fate is fickle on his left arm, just under his poker hand of four aces one for his four wounds, he also has the pararecue logo on his right arm, Optional Image: Here

in my heart of hearts:    Kyle was a Captain in air forces para rescue division. Highly trained medics and combat infiltrators have but one motto "so others may live".  He spent his entire life training for that motto and he was a shining example of it with a Purple Heart with 3 clusters and a stack of commendations. He had over a thousand jumps and subsequent saves.  He has a big heart and wants to save everyone he can.

Kyle a big teddy bear with an impressive set of armor.  He wants to be a normal guy in a normal world where governments are afraid of the citizens and average everyday people go play poker games or have bar fights or innocent things like that. He enjoys joking and referencing old literature and movies from his past to express sentiments hes not as adept and putting words too.  He is insanely loyal to anyone he feels obligated or to friends.  However be warned that is not blind loyalty.  But he would be the battle of thermophile for anyone or thing he is loyal to.

my dark past:  Kyle was born in the Air Force.  His father was an A-10 Warthog pilot and his mother worked at the base hospital, both positions attached to Combat Search and Rescue, CSAR. From as far back as he can remember all the parties at the house, the parents of his friends, the people he associated with, his teachers spouses, even his doctors, everyone was involved or related to CSAR in some aspect of another.  Because of this Kyle made the decision that he wanted to be involved too and after talking to those around him he chose Pararescue Jumper or PJ as his desired career.

After graduating high school at 16 Kyle received special permission to proceed to the Air Force academy and begin his studies.  He excelled in his classes, graduated with honors, then cam boot camp and officers training course.  This was followed by the PJ Pipeline; Indoctrination, Survival Rescue and Escape, Paramedic school, Beginner parachute, Advanced parachute, diving, mountaineering, etc. and three years later he has the coveted maroon beret of a PJ and he is proud as can be.  Kyle was a Combat rescue officer, a highly trained medic and combat infiltrator with a Purple Heart with 3 clusters and a stack of commendations. He easily caught the attention of the right people and was accepted into the company.

On his last tour of duty he became increasingly aware of the division commander send his troops on false missions and fake casualties and letting savable soldiers die.  Kyle poked his nose where it didnt belong and got on the bad side of the commander on more than one occasion.  This culminated in Kyles helicopter getting shot down by a SAM launched at the commanders orders and everyone was left for dead.  Kyle was clawed his way out of the wreck and managed to stabilize himself to the best of his ability before a Desperado Enforcement patrol came along. They took Kyle to a hospital and in exchange for his life Kyle offered his talents.  Now he does whatever is needed putting not only his medicine to the test but his Air commandos training pays off in this job on an all too frequent basis.  Always armed and always aware Kyle is ready for anything that fate throws his way, or at least hed like to think hes ready.

I can edit.  But my thought was  he's a disgruntled employee and company goes too far so he grabs a gun and steps outside the law to get things done.
