3D printers are cool to begin with, but with this new application I love them even more!

See these two links: Initial Printing and Bionic Ear

What an awesome application ^^

During my degree a group of us got together, pooled some money and used 3D printers to make physical prints of our CGI work at our exhibition, it has been really interesting to see this stuff evolve but I never even considered that.

I know, this whole application went right over my head, but it is by far the most interested (imo). When this technology advances, imagine how quick and easy it will be to design prosthetics and replacements, tailored to each patient!

I love when technology winds up having unforseen/unintended applications that benefit humanity, its like a double-win :D
