Bleh, life got a little loony but finally got my character together:
Name: Leo Grey
Physical appearance: Tall, dark and handsome, usually distracted or disapproving.
Position: Magical Combat instructor
Magical abilities: Resistant to magic, mental control, excellent with potions and wands, skilled fencer
Weaknesses: Very distractible, a poor teacher, very proud, although very skilled he’s actually fairly weak in most magical fields so relies on tools, potions and artifacts to augment his strength
Personality: Leo is the last of an honored line of battle mages, a family bred for their intensity and natural resistance to magic. He is very aware of this heritage; he has delved deeply into the mysteries and knows more than most professors despite a fairly young age. Lacking a war for the moment, he is kept on staff for his knowledge, skills, and because most of the other wizards consider a school blocked from lethal spells to be the only safe place to keep a professional killer.
Leo doesn’t take teaching very seriously. To a select few, he is an excellent instructor – notably, to those who show interest, initiative, and capability. For the rest, he is often regarded as an easy course since he tends to go entire classes without actually bothering to stand up and instruct. Instead he prefers letting the students “actively learn by exercising the course curriculum” – that is, split up as they wish and stage mock battles while he wanders around, observes, and gives some personal instruction.
A man with a deep pride in his heritage, he is fully aware of the school’s breeding agenda and supports it somewhat: the lack of intentional pairing irks him, however, and he has been known to use his mental abilities to ensure certain matches or even keep some breeding stock for himself.
