I've never actually played a DB game, so that would be interesting for me.

The Storm Mothers, honestly, are very weak. The strongest of them are around Essence 4. A solar, or even lunar, with a good set of charms can destroy one and cause the others to fear for their lives.

For a game, I'd like to suggest the following character generations:

Dragon-Blooded
- 8/6/4 Attributes
- 36 Ability dots along background minimums (11 dots in Realm and 17 dots in Lookshy) while Outcastes have 12 dots spread following manner (these are bonus ability dots); Survival or Bureaucracy 3 dots, Presence 2 dots, Lore 1 dots, Occult 1 dot, Larceny 1 dots, 3 dots either Archery, Martial Arts, Melee or Throw, 1 dot in Dawn minus War.
-Five free speciality dots
- 18 Background dots, with the ability to get backgrounds up to 4 dots without spending BP and gain free 2 dots in Connections and 2 dots in Artifacts backgrounds. Realm DB's need place 1 dot at Backing (for House or any Realm government branches) and have placed 3 dots into Resource. Lookshy needs place 1 dot for Backing (Lookshy government branches) and either have placed 1 dot in Command or Influence and 2 dots in Resource. DB's who are outcastes do not have additional limits besides Connection and Artifact dots.
- 20 Charms, half of which are Aspect/Favoured
- Essence starts hard capped at 3

Lunars
Attributes:
Caste Attributes: 8 dots
Favored Attributes: 3 favored attributes with 6 dots between them.
Remaining Attributes: 4
Extra Dot: 1 extra dot for Caste/Favored Attributes.

Abilities: 25, 2 favored abilities, none may be higher than 3 without bonus poits.

Advantages: 7 background points.

Essence, willpower, and virtues are as normal.

Charms: 10 charms and/or knacks

Everyone
5 bonus charms, +1 -0 health level per dot of stamina
Flat XP: http://forums.white-wolf.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1003274#post1003274

I usually go with 70xp for Flat, which is the equivalent to 35bp.

Good Lord, that seems overpowered by half. Having never played by those rules I can't be certain, but it just looks like an awful lot of dots and extra health levels. (After all that's what Ox-Body Charms are for.)

Besides which, I thought we were looking at being DB's or Castes or other weaker forms, not celestial exalts now.

That's just my suggestion, and I won't be playing if we do dragon-blooded or anything less than celestial.

The said DB creation rules were for DB's who play in game alongside of celestial exalts. This way DB's get tons of lots goodies to go ahead the celestials which eventually long run go over them. But then again DB's grow also and in return they are more in balance than start both DB's and celestials on same starting line in char gen wise.

Anyways 3 yays for DB game and one against it and go for celestials (with boosted DB chargen to balance DB's out). I do not count my own vote either direction, altough a pure terrestrial game which focuses to one DB communities (Realm, Lookshy or one DB families in north or elsewhere in setting) would be interesting.

It can be major story even DB perspective if we would just focus on isle alone, which if following published adventure module and most likely outcome; enters to civil war which in itself can be dramatic event to roleplay through and the follow up. Just my few cents in favor to focus DB's as rarely there are games which focus on them (instead of focus on one celestial exalts).

Well, we're still looking for storytellers, Ari-chan.  I'm thinking seriously about trying it.

I'd really be interested in a DB game...

Blah me and trying to answer while getting ready for work. I meant to say a god-blooded game not a DB game.

God-blood rules are bad. Like, really bad. Really really bad.

  *Chuckles*  I enjoy god blooded.

That said, the campaign I'm looking at now is better suited to celestial exalts, I think. That means powerful Dragon Blooded without the prejudices of the imaculate faith could contribute just fine.

I could develop the same idea for outcaste dragon blooded and powerful god bloods if everyone prefers?

Does anyone have a preference between deserts and jungles?

For desserts I prefer Ice Cream. I have no preference for Jungles. Any Jungle is fine :).

As for landscape, both deserts and jungles can be cool, even if both can be warm too.

Do you prefer North, South, East, or West for a starting location?

Oceans is my choice, never had a game in the West.

I am fine either dessert or jungles, but jungles overall have more communities and richer fauna.

Anyways as said I am fine in either game mode and if you make one game devoted to celestials/powerful DB's and other for DB's and powerful god-bloods I am interested on both to see how stories go :).

Okay, so I feel more than a little insane here, but excited too.  I'm sending out an invitation too:

Allie Cat
Anon315
Arianhro
Aribeth Amkir
Atarn
Avorae
Luna
Pumpkin Seeds
Shadow
Star Girl
VideoSpirit
Zaer

To play in a celestial level game that I run.

I have some core ideas about it, but want to know if people would prefer the An-Teng region, the South, the South-East (jungles) or the East.

The story will have plenty of adventure, intrigue and over the top action, but we'll also be rebuilding at least one lost metropolis--perhaps as a haven for those persecuted by the Realm?  Or even as the seat of a new solar lead nation?

I suppose the North could work too.

Something i specifically want to address is directional gender politics:

--The south is a patriarchy with strong gender rolls.  There's plenty of things a girl can do on an adventure, both inside and outside of the system, but it's a good region if we want some submissive girl themes.

--The East is a Matriarchy.  The basic family unit is the mother or grandmother and her brothers, raising the mother's children (and possibly grandchildren.)  Matriachs don't tend to stick to one man--though they often have a couple of favorites who either come and go or settle down in their household.  The makes the east good for 'free love' themes.  It's also a good place for 'girl power' stories.  Elder daughters tend to have political power and business acumen, not to mention know how to defend what's there's by whatever means necessary.  Younger daughters--unable to inherit--take up all kinds of professions--including adventuring mercenary and scavenger lord--too enjoy their youths and eventually earn up enough to start a household of their own.

--The north is pretty egalitarian, and a good place in which to tell a love story recognizable to the modern world.  Also a nice place to snuggle up together under a big comforter to ride out the snow.  :)

--The west has rather stronger gender rolls than the south, though still has socially acceptable ways to flaunt them.

My preferances;

1) An-Teng (A great southern location indeed, and risky for celestials in way as city is heavily realm influenced and so lots DB's around)
2) South-East (Jungles)
3) East
4) North
5) West

I'm a pretty big fan of submissive girl themes, so I would pick the south. But really, I'll be cool with whatever everyone decides on.

Lulz. Been there, done that- which is to say if that lost metropolis is dear old Rathess. Not that I'd mind doing so again, of course.

I like the desert (and also desserts) and submissive girls theme. So, as for descriptions, I guess my choice is the South. Anyway, I will need help with details for any of them directions.

It was a very fortunate time to receive a gift.

If the man delivering it hadn't been a powerful sorcerer able to take you both instantly to a shelter 40 miles away, those fifteen jade armored warriors might have been the death of you.

"I bear gifts from an anonymous party in Heaven," he explained.  "She bid me proffer to you these gifts.  She also wished it known that it would please her if you would participate in the restoration of the shining metropolis once known as Hassanthra, the City of a Thousand Fountains.  Others with gifts similar to yours may choose to achieve the same goal."
