Time Zones
« on: July 30, 2012, 03:43:23 AM »
Forgive me if this question is answered elsewhere. I'm a total newbie to this site.

Is there any way to change the locale / timezone of this site?

I live in the U.K. and it's confusing me (I'm easily confused) that I'm posting a message at 9:15 and it's showing up as being posted at 3:30 am.

It also makes it harder to work out who is active in the same time zone as me.

I have mine set to +15 even though my timezone is +10 at the moment.   Guess the server is currently -4 or -5.

Have a look there.

If you are approved, you will be able to edit your profile to reflect your actual time zone. Until then, I'm afraid you'll have to make do with server time (GMT-6).

I've just learned that I'm always ahead of sites, so I automatically think I'm 5 hours ahead, since it's a -6 site, I'm now changing that.
