OCD, BPD, Bipolar, Eating Disorders, Self-Injury and SuicideYears of experience:
2Appearance: Lauren AmbroseHistory:
Ellie was always a bright child, and she excelled at any academic pursuit she was placed in. She was precocious, animated and very personable. Her parents raised her in a very traditional home, but they divorced when she was 13. As she found out later, her mother had very severe Bipolar Disorder, and her father just finally couldn't deal with it anymore. Her mother dated a few people after him, but never anything serious. Her father remarried within 2 years and started a family, giving Ellie 2 younger stepbrothers. She has one older biological brother, but he lives in Oregon and rarely sees her.
She threw herself into her books to combat her mother's illness, and when she was 17, her mother committed suicide. Ellie had found her, and the scene still haunts her to this day. From that moment on, she vowed to help others by becoming a psychiatrist. She graduated at the top of her high school class...living with her grandparents until college...and then went to Johns Hopkins University for Pre-Med and Medical School. She specialized in Bipolar, self-injury and suicide, but she also grew to specialize in OCD, eating disorders and Borderline Personality Disorder. After her residency at the Mayo Clinic, she was suggested to the Asylum by her boss and went to work there immediately.
She has seen the abuse, and plans to take it down from the inside.Personality:
Ellie is a kind soul, and she truly wants to heal the patients. She is smart, clever, witty and funny. However, she rarely shows the latter two at the asylum, as it's not a "happy" place. She is not abusive by any means, but after seeing the way things were run in the asylum, she realized something had to be done. Instead of simply quitting, she made a decision to fake her compliance and try to bring the institution down from the inside. She is collecting evidence of every cruelty shown, and always helps the patients when the other doctors aren't looking.
Sexually, she is VERY hard to get. She is pretty and naturally sensual, but she rarely shows it, and instead sticks to her work and such. She is not a virgin, but she has had very little experience, and she is very vanilla. As for the male doctors, she despises them (although she pretends she doesn't), so she rebuffs any advances that they may make. She prefers to escape to her books and research...as well as helping her patients. She is miserable here, but she refuses to leave the patients alone.Anything Else?:
