Lands of Lore - Throne of Chaos

I've been feeling like playing some old school Dungeon Crawler games, and I wonder how much this one holds up.
I've checked out a few youtube clips, and I am strangely really feeling like this one would be fun to get into (never had the chance as I was a kid).
It still seems to look rather fine on the screenshots I've seen so far, while Lands of Lore 2+3 have visibly aged, due to the 3D stuff used, at least imho.

Also, my god, are the artwork and cutscenes beautiful. Makes me miss the 90s age of PC games.

Anyone played the game recently? Or, hell, any of the older 3D Dungeon crawler? I need something to just have fun with.
