Sky smiled before jogging over to the table where she had seen a few of the others. "How are you guys holding up?" She asked, sliding into an empty seat.

"Been better," said the red-headed soldier who had rescued her from the safe-house. He had an eye-patch over one eye and an arm in a sling. "Then again considering the state Rochelle is in I should probably be glad this is all the injury I received." He was sat by himself, a half-eaten lasanga in front of him and a glass of water he hadn't touched yet. "How are you doing?"

Sky shrugged. "Just trying to relax as much as I can before heading back out." She replied quietly, eyes scanning the line for Morrison. "Alright, so maybe I'm trying to get him to relax before I'm sent out again... Because I know that he will spend ever moment worrying about me."

"He cares about you," the man replied. "I'd give anything for someone who felt about me like that. I'm Rory by the way," he said, offering his good hand. "Sorry I hadn't introduced myself before. Here comes morrison anyway," he said, smiling as he saw Morrison approaching with a tray piled high with plates. "Think he could do with some help."

Sky laughed as she pushed up from the table and rushed over to his side. "If you're not careful with that, you might end up starting Food War III." She said, grabbing a few things and placing them safely down on the flat surface.

"Thanks," he said with a laugh as he walked over to the table. "Hey again Rory, glad to see you weren't too badly hurt." He sat down after putting a can of lemonade on the table. "Sorry, needed a bit of energy after all the rushing around of the last day or two," he said with a smile.

"No problem. Can't have you making a mess, now can I?" Sky said with a smirk, looking at the can of lemonade. "Don't we all?" She asked, opening the can and taking a large gulp of the substance before handing it back with a wink.

"If anyone else had just done that I'd be more pissed off," he said, sitting down at last. "How are you guys holding up Rory?" Morrison asked. "I don't know whether anyone told you Skylar but Raven squad were Tom's first every military unit when he set this whole thing up."

"We've not all been there since the start," Rory replied with a slight laugh. "Me and Rochelle joined at almost the same time about five years ago. I could tell you a few interesting stories about our early days if you want to hear them."

Sky stuck her tongue out at Morrison before turning to Rory. "I'm always up for a good story." She shrugged, taking her food and taking a large bite of the soup. "A lot can happen in five years, let's see how good your story telling skills are." Sky laughed, taking yet another bite of her food.

"Well Tom got us from two seperate units," Rory replied. "I was part of one of the US's best black ops units but we were caught in a trap, seems Firebrand were tipped off about the target we were going to strike at. We got out okay but when I got back Tom approached me. He said he believed the US military had been compromised and was forming a militia force to respond to any potential coup. Apparentely he'd been studying my CV and wanted me for his force. I actually thought I was crazy for agreeing at the time but I haven't regretted it since."

"That's the spirit of a true warrior." Sky said around a bite of food. She pointed her spoon at Rory, eyes locking with his. "Charging forward without a second thought, never looking back and never regretting past decisions." She said as if it were important news that he should know. "I wish I could be a little more like that." She said, dipping the spoon back into her soup.

"You're lucky," Rory said with a laugh. "When you're a secret agent you normally only have to worry about one guy trying to kill you. If you're black ops, SEALs or a commando you're lucky if there's anyone during the mission NOT trying to kill you."

"Can't argue with that." She said with a smile. "I'm starting to realize that little fact the longer I'm in this place." Sky laughed, downing the last of her soup. "I've almost died more times than I can count since joining this little party."

"Just be thankful you're still relatively unharmed," Rory replied with a smile. "You've probably not met old Redeye. Well, I should say Captain Tom Hawkins, one of the fighter pilots who was guarding your plane during the mission, been blind in one eye after an explosion a decade ago and yet he's still one of the best pilots I've ever met."

((Omg I just realized that I hadn't posted for this.  :'( Now I feel like a bad person.))

"Yeah, I guess so. I still have all of my limbs, though I'm not so sure I can say the same about me sanity." The girl laughed and sighed. She folded her arms on the table and lowered her head into them. "Don't mind me. Imma take a nap now."

"Don't fall asleep here," Morrison said with a laugh. "If you want to sleep I'll take you to one of the dorms. Most of the soldiers are going to be busy so they won't be disturbing you. As long as we're not being anti-social doing that," he said, glad to see the others shook their heads at the question.

Sky was silent for a few moments, just breathing in and out while her mind processed the words spoken to her. Then with a groan, which she had meant to be an 'alright', she pushed herself up from the table. Her balance wavered but she regained it immediately before shuffling towards the doors.

He put an arm around her, helping her towards the door as a soldier entered, mouthing 'Tom needs to see you urgently." Morrison simply nodded a reply, helping her to the dorm and helping her into bed, handing her a walkie-talkie.

"I need to go see Tom," he said to her. "If you need me for any reason this is set to the frequency of my walkie-talkie already, just give me a buzz and I'll reply." He leant over and kissed her forehead. "I love you so much," he said before slipping out of the room quietly.

She curled under the sheets gratefully, wrapping her fingers around the walkie-talkie. "Will do." She breathed, her eyes drifting shut before she even lay her head down on the pillow. She fell into a cold darkness before she floated into light again.

She was dreaming about home, everything that made her love her childhood. Everything that made life worth it. She saw the faces of those she went to school with, friends she would meet at the pool. But then a man dressed in uniform appeared. Immediately the faces of those she knew fell, and the tears started falling. No look! I'm right here, I'm alive! She called out but realized she hadn't made a sound....

"Wake up, you're having a nightmare," Morrison said, shaking her awake a few hours later. "Plus I think you'll want to hear what Tom just told me, don't worry, it's all good news for once."

Sky flew up to a sitting position, the world turning white and the room began spinning. "Uuuuhn." She groaned, falling back to the pillow. "Don't let me do that again." She hissed, placing a hand over her eyes as if it were going to help her out any. "Good news? That's rare, let's hear."

"They think they've ID'd your targets on the boat," he said. "We're even fairly sure we know where on the boat you'l find them so its almost time to get going, assuming you're ready I mean." He put an arm around her and kissed her lightly on the lips.
