Anyone Intrested in Seventh Sea
« on: July 05, 2005, 05:59:04 AM »
Well, it goes lke this.  A lovely gal from New Orleans got me to dust off my Seventh Sea books to run her a game.  I made a priest to woo her, and suddenly I started thinking how cool the priest was and how much fun he'd be to play in a game.

Anyone intrested in running Seventh Sea?

I'll definately be in line to play if anyone wants to run one.  Don't know if people will view that as a blessing or a curse.

A system of swashbuckling and adventure set in a fantasy version of Europe.  Produced by AEG.

Swashbuckling and sorcerery, my friend, swashbuckling and sorcery.

But I'm running over my quota, (my poor war of flowers people haven't had a DM post in over a month) and my dear friend Bishrook doesn't run systems, so if anyone would actualy RUN the game, I can gauruntee not only my own writing skills, but at least three talented ladies who'd love to play.

I love the seventh Sea system and concept. Though as of late friends in RL and I  have played it Freeform. It's an interesting out look. Well I'm ever interested if anyone should want to run a game. I also have the capability to  run a game of it but I would rather keep it freeform especially in this venue were people enjoy writing. Either way give me feed back, I have some thoughts.

I would be interested in seeing this game in freeform or with the rules set.  It is a fantastic world, and wide open with writing possibilities.

Well, a 'normal' game would be nice. Freeforms arent very totally like my kind of game. And would we be using the D20 rules or the original ? I have the D20 books .. well .. some of them anyway. WOuld be kinda cool to be playing pirat .. or .. maybe even pirat hunters ?

I have a set rule for engagement in a freeform world. Yet I would not mind using the system. I guess it would be to what all of you prefer. I've been playing Seven Seas since it came to the market. I am an avid history buff, with a lot leaning towards pirates and the seas. I would use the D20 System and Drama Die issuance if I were to do the system. I can put the rules of engagement though if it would rather go the freeform route.

Eep!  d20!?!  i'd almost rather do Freeform!

If anyone needs to digitaly borrow my ACTUAL Seventh Sea books just send add me to your MSN IM or AIM accoutns and I'd be happy to send you whatever you need, if you'd just run the game as it was meant to be run.

I know nothing about the d20 modifications to the system, but I loved 7th Sea muchly and would like a chance to play it. I know the basic d20 mechanics, just not what they;ve done to 7th Sea specifically.

Well. I love the classes like musketeer and all those. SO urrm ... what kind of idea did you have ? Do we play the 'good' guys. Or 'bad' guys. Or do we all start out as somekind of noble at a party and .. something .. from there ? I played 7th sea briefly at Rpol. Though it was fun the texts these guys wrote were just a bit to much for fun. hehe. like whole books to just say hello. im going to fetch a drink.
