If all you want to do is make it disappear from the header on your screen:- Got to View in the menu bar- Click Toolbars- Remove the check mark from in front of the Yahoo toolbar
Is it listed at all if you go to your View menu and select Toolbars?
Might check in your Windows Control Panels, the one that's marked 'Add/Remove Programs', and see if it's listed there. (I hate the way so many programs try to get me to install some new toolbar.)
I found this out on the web (you may have the Extensions menu item right off of Tools - FF4 has it off of Add-ons instead.) Click the "Tools" menu in the Firefox browser. Click on "Add-ons" Click the "Extensions" menu item. In the Extensions Manager window scroll until you find the Yahoo! Toolbar extension. Click the Yahoo! Toolbar extension. Click "Uninstall". Click "OK" in the "Uninstall Yahoo! Toolbar" window. Exit Extensions Manager and restart your browser.
Just a thought, have you checked if you can remove it with CCleaner?Asides that, I use Revo uninstaller for things that just do not want to get installed. (It's free)
