Final Fantasy IX Plot Bunnies - Seeking Female OCs
« on: March 25, 2011, 11:58:46 AM »
Very little is known about Amarant's past, though he was a guard in Dark City Treno for quite some time. One day, Zidane stole something from his post. Amarant tried to stop him, but Zidane successfully framed him as the culprit and Amarant became a wanted man. Amarant was intrigued by Zidane, and was confused by the thief’s attitude.

After being hired by Queen Brahne, along with a woman named Lani, to steal the pendant from the Princess, he asks if he can kill Zidane. He got approval for this, but failed to do so. After seeing how Lani tends to handle things, he calls her a scumbag and joins Zidane's team on their mission. During which he develops much respect for another group member named Freya. He finds her sense of loyalty to her people and her determination to be a good quality in a person.

During their fights together, Amarant becomes a better person. By the end of it all, he's alone. He thinks to start a relationship with Freya, but she is not only of another species, but is in love with someone else. He finds Lani again, but after some time with her and a short, but passionate, romance still finds her to be a deplorable person at heart and someone that has learned nothing from a hard life.

Having no where else to go and no one to go with, Amarant heads back to the Dark City Treno to live in the slums with the other people with bad records. Despite all he did for the world, his name would never be clean. Because of that, he continues to work as a mercenary and a thief (though with a strict code of who he steals from). While relaxing in one of the slum bars, he is offered a job. A simple one. Take a cart from Treno to Alexandria. He gets full payment up front and extra for food and water along the seven day trip. He's told that inside the cart is a few chests of gold and such to be given to a man on the Alexandria waterfront.

Despite not liking to take jobs involving shipment, mostly because he knows the money is dirty and is likely going to fund some black market stuff. Still, jobs are low lately and even though he lives in the slums, rent is way overdue. Reluctantly, he takes the job and completely ignores the fact that the cart is locked up much tighter than it needs to be.

What he doesn't know is that inside the cart is the daughter of a wealthy land lord in Treno. She is being kidnapped and to be held for ransom in Alexandria. He does find this out when he stops one night to rest about three days into the trip. Curiosity is just too much for him and he opens the cart to find her tied up to the bench seat and gagged. Not only is he horrified, but disgusted that her kidnappers thought she could last seven days without food or water.

Not much is known about Blank's past, hell even he doesn't know his birth name anymore. He is a member of the Tantalus Theater Troupe, also known as the Theater Thieves. Thus making Blank a thief. Generally while the troupe puts on a show for the crowd, Blank and a few of the others pick pocket and raid empty houses. He's one of the best in the group. He's fast and quiet and gets the job done quickly. Despite their troupe being well known, most only know them as star performers and not as the thieves they really are.

Blank, having been turned to stone for quite some time while his friends ran all over the world saving people and things, is finally human again. Despite having been stone, he remembers everything that happened in the forest. It also gave him a lot of time to think. To think about his past and current life. If he wants to stay a thief forever or try to forge a new life. If he wants to, one day, start a family or continue on his solitary life. Having lost his family at a young age, he was taken in by the leader of Tantalus and he wonders if it's time to start a troupe of his own.

Once free of his stone form, Blank eventually heads back home to Lindblum. At first he decides to help the troupe rebuild, but finds himself restless. He is eager to have an adventure of his own since he was kept from the previous one. His first order of business is to find a partner. He wishes to explore the world as his friends got to, but without the danger of the world being destroyed held over his head.

OC Female needed. She will need to be about 20-25 years old. Either a well known or starting out thief (prefer this). Feisty and hard to please. They would likely have a love-hate relationship. Him thinking he knows best and her thinking he's a moron. Things like that.

No need to have played or completed the game, though having played it and/or finished it would be a plus.

PM me or Post here with interest.

After going, quite literally, insane and trying to destroy the world when he found out that he wasn't immortal and felt the world should never go on without him...Kuja has calmed down. He's slowly coming to terms with the fact that he was, in his creator's eyes, a mistake and the fact that he will one day die. He realizes that his poetic nature and metaphorical take on the world has done him no good. That his love of luxury and of himself has gotten him no where.

And that going without pants can be really cold sometimes.

It took near death by his own hands to realize that life can, and would, go on without him. It also took the one person he hated most, Zidane, saving his life to make him realize this. To realize that his Creator was right. Not having a childhood, not growing up, has ruined him and made him a mistake.

As Zidane spends the next several months nursing him back to health, Kuja decides that he needs to experience life as Zidane has gotten to. That he needs to learn humility and compassion. Zidane tells him that it won't be easy. That he might be too proud and narcissistic to do it. This, of course, make Kuja hellbent on succeeding in becoming a real 'being' and not just a mindless vessel or an Angel of Death like he was created to be.

With instructions from Zidane to find a job, any job, he's left in the Dark City Treno. Zidane finds him a place to stay in the slums, much to Kuja's disliking, and tells him once again to find a job cause the small, rented room is only paid for a week. Zidane also gives him some more normal clothing, like pants and a shirt and takes that stupid feather out of his hair. After that, he's left alone while Zidane runs off to 'get his girl'.

As the week starts to come to an end, Kuja is very unhappy with the fact that none of the places he's willing to work at, such as the Auction House or the higher up places, won't hire someone from the slums. Instead, he's forced to take a job serving drinks at a scummy bar.

______________

Looking for a Female OC either the bar owner or someone that comes in for a drink regularly.

This game would go better with someone that has played the game or knows a bit about Kuja's personality, but I'm willing to take on people that have never played/beaten it.

PM me or Post here with interest.

The one with Kuja.  Honestly, one of my favorites, so I prayed that it wouldn't be taken by the time I became a member.
