Unfriendly Visitor
When a powerful sorceress appears and destroys the council of archmages of the floating continent of Idon, it plunges the high-born mages into chaos. Suddenly, under assault from a single magic user, who seems far more capable, and powerful, than their now destroyed leadership, salvation comes from a somewhat unlikely source. A young mage still studying in the university, casts, in a moment of surprise and desparation, a kind of dragon magic, which binds the sorceress. Of course, with the sorceress under control, the danger seems to be over, but now the power rests in the control of a young and inexperienced mage. These events will, depending on the mage's own desires, reveal the mystery behind the sorceress, propel the mage to fame and fortune, whether because of his own power or not, and perhaps, change the world permanently.
Basically I'm looking for a young mage character, female, or male, to bind the sorceress. The world itself is a steampunk/fantasy, magic and technology interacting to make steam-power in the early industrial age of this magical world very powerful. I have a fascination with pairings that have a powerful entity bound to a weaker one, and what the character might do with the power to command power unlike those around them.
The rating on this one is extremely negotiable from light to extreme. I don't want to fill in too much detail, because I feel like this is something I could do multiple variations of, and much of what procedes from the premise is to be decided by someone wanting to write this with me.
