Hello everyone! So we seem to have gotten some interest! With that being said, this will be a thread for character sheet submissions. Please, if you have any questions about the group, refer to the main interest thread here. The template for characters will be at the bottom of this post.

We are limiting the spots in the game in an effort to keep things moving. We are looking for active members, so please read below before applying:

When selecting writers for the group, we will take into account a writer's activity, general demeanor, the character selected, and the makeup of the characters already approved.

We want more active writers. We understand that everyone here has a real life, but we would like to keep up an interesting pace. With that spirit in mind, we are asking that any potential writers be able to post at least twice per week.

While story is a focus, this universe is adult and will be sexual in nature, as well as dealing with adult themes. For this reason, it will most likely be in the extreme section, if for no other reason than to err on the side of caution. However, for the most part, the themes used will be more mainstream.

We are open to any MARVEL character, be it comic or MCU. We will also allow OC's.

History: Beau was born in Wales to the Byrd family....both of which had very different ideas of the two of them of how their wanted to raise their daughter. Her mother, Brenda, was former fencer and wanted to raise Beau as a bold woman that would be a strong to be her own person (ironically) in rough world. Her father, Albrecht, in turn, was a well-versed professor of literature and sought to encourage her to be more "refined" and strong in the ways of knowledge and socially blending in. This conflict even factored in the unisex nature regarding the meaning of name in what became one long childhood of tossed here and there between their desires.

By the time she had graduated high school, the house had swiftly been torn by how trying be that perfect piece in her parents' lives had gone to hell at that point. With her mother, Freya had become a lovely fencer, but she didn't seek to compete in tournaments (mostly due to the fact she was was stressed enough as it is). In turn with her father, Beau was not only an activist when the opportunity presented itself, but also an openly gay femme in defiance of social norms the seriously crushed any ideas of "socially blending" despite her noblewoman-like qualities. Desperate to get away from the shambles of her parents' martial spat that had trapped her so, Beau applied for a college over in America to go abroad.

The split was certainly awkward the week of, as each of her parents foisted an odd trinket on her when she was packing. Brenda handed her was seemed like a odd yellow medal she just presumed was her trying to pressure her to enter championships, while Albrecht handed her this odd metal book that didn't even seem to open even though it seemed to be lore on an entire myth. She begrudgingly took the pair of items along with her since it was the only way they'd leave her alone after several attempts across to return them.

Otherwise, life actually seemed to let up for the few years while she was at college. The practical swordswoman still participated in the fencing clubs as she got her degree in mythological studies, but she purposely never went into the competitions past anything at a university level. She had a few on-and-off girlfriends but nothing serious as they just never seemed to want to commit to anything when their entire childhood had been nothing but that. Unfortunately, it led to her mostly be stuck in a boring office job across the years when she wasn't trying to destress on her off time with tea and a good story when not playing the mom friend.

However, life eventually forced her to commit to something more than she wanted as a strange horse-like knight creature had assaulted her workplace on a warpath, scouring for something. It eventually set their sights on her....or more primarily, the odd metal book of hers at her desk that was starting to glow as it came closer. Beau scrambled to snag it away along with the medal resting on her desk as well when the creature was about to take its blade to her. As she closed her eyes in fear of the worst, she was surprised to hear the blocking clangs of metal on metal as the gift her mother had given her now looked more like some odd sheathed blade.

Admittedly she was soon grunting in discomfort though as the awkward block still had the odd object hit against her waist.....and suddenly spout wraps to attach on it like a belt. Before she could even get a grip on the situation, she was soon faced with the glowing book's energy pumped information in her brain exactly how to use it. Following what had to be the bizarre thing she had experienced, they then took the form of what the stream of information called Edge Rider Brise and proceeded to vanquish the monster. Only another odd book was left behind in its wake.

Like it or not, she was effectively trapped into the commitment as she soon learned an organization of humans with belts like hers called the Sword of Logos sought to use the books for their own personal goals. A goal which was only going to get all the more annoying for the stressed out fencer with having a second one of the strange books dubbed Foliants. Hence, it was simply just the first step in another day of her work-life balance hell.

Powers: Refer to Special Equipment for the majority of her stuff related to the attacks listed below.
-Thunderbird Passage: By tapping the Blitzschnell Thunderbird Foliant while in the Messer Driver, Beau unleashes a direct beam of lightning by the way of a punch.
-Thunderbird Prompt: Beau scans the Blitzschnell Thunderbird Foliant across Bö and charges it with lightning for an energized slash.
-Bö Epilogue: By reinserting Bö into the Messer Driver and redrawing it, Beau charges Bö with lighting. Her body then accelerates in an incredible burst of speed as she flies through her opponent with a flurry rush of blitzing strikes as the thunderbird projects around her form.

Special Qualities: Beau is simply an overly stressed person just doing what she can to get by through all the shit life throws at her. Admittedly, she is not helping herself in the slightest in the way she plays the mom friend among her long hours at her job, but continuously avoids making strong enough commitments with others that could likely help share some of her burdens. The thought of going too far with others terrifies her since nearly two decades of her life was watching an awful relationship shake about from a personal disagreement all the while being its direct victim because she couldn't live up to the impossible standards set by it. Hence, she dreads creating a situation like that with somebody else.

Special Equipment:
-Riser-Clad: Brise's base armor formed when inserting any Foliant into her Messer Driver, the belt around her waist. It provides increased strength, stamina, speed, and durability.
-Gust Blade Bö (Boo-eh): A legendary blade that bears the element of wind and is sharp enough to go through solid steel. It compacts while in the Messer Driver, but expands into a proper sword when drawn. It also allows her to scan various Foliants across it for a special attack depending on the books scanned.
-Blitzschnell Thunderbird Foliant: One of the many Foliants (legendary tomes in the form of small, metal books) that allows Carla to transform into her Edge Riser form. This one in particular represents the legend of the thunderbird and enhances her abilities with lightning, increased speed, and brief flight.
-Reiten Lancer Foliant: A Foilant Beau obtained from defeating the Knightmare LituraRaider based on the story of Battle of Mount Badon where King Arthur wielded Rhongomyniad. Instead of forming an new armor section when used in the Messer Driver, it oddly enough transforms into a motorcycle dubbed Rhongomyniad for Brise's personal use.


Limitations/Weaknesses:
-Requires the Messer Driver and at least one Foliant to access her powers. She's simply a very fit femme in the lower end of the economy with a sword out of suit.
-Poor work-life balance

History: While there have been a few different heads of the little known outfit known as Damage Control, Veronica has been there working in its offices and more covert facilities for over two decades, rising up as high as she wanted to - somewhere short of having her head on the chopping block should some irate hero decide to throw a tantrum to the government if one of their toys got confiscated. In that time, she's gone from managing the public projects that people know about, the reconstruction of cities after yet another super-brawl has left the area unlivable for its once-tenants, to the black box budget programs that are also part of its purpose. This includes the categorizing and vaulting of dangerous items of known and unknown provenances, when SHIELD cannot simply grab the item as an 0-8-4. This does mean its storage facility can double up as an armory of terrifying strength... and it sometimes needs to, for Damage Control, and Veronica, are also responsible for bringing rogue superheroes to justice.

Personality: No nonsense and wholly dedicated to her job. She finds heroes and their utter disrespect for public and private property utterly disdainful, and they're only slightly better than supervillains in her book. They're mostly all thugs with more power than sense or brains, even the supposed geniuses like Richards and Stark, and the less said about Banner the better. They do things because they can, without thinking if they should, and its up to people like her to clean up the messes after, and make sure no one gets their hands on weapons that have outlived their purpose.

Powers: None to speak of. She does have access to those weapons and strange items from worlds known and unknown though, along with the best in anti-powered tools and weaponry made by the US government, when needing to approach or apprehend someone.

Special Qualities: Has no known family or personal relations. A constant hardass that takes a delight in making "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" squirm when she shows up.

Abilities: Familiarity with all confiscated human and alien tech. Able to get a building from rubble to rebuilt in a month through superior project management skills (and Uncle Sam's bottomless budget).

Special Equipment: See Powers!

Limitations/Weaknesses: She's human, and thus, utterly vulnerable if caught off-guard or unarmed.

Ons & Offs: Can look at my O/O in sig, but will likely not be too applicable overall. For now, can assume that she takes equal pleasure in being able to toy with those stronger than her in ways that they would never put up with otherwise, as she is needling them so much that they use their powers to subdue her and make her pay. She'll enjoy it, secretly, but she'll really enjoy writing them up a warning for having done such a thing to a civilian!

History:

Daughter of Portuguese immigrants, Zita belonged to the lower middle class and grew up in a caring and loving environment. She did not care much for school and finished after being held back a year- thankfully she was not one of the ostracized youth and did not have to deal with regular bullying. She even found a girlfriend in her last year, with whom she was together for a year and a half, before realising that she was in a toxic relationship. She broke it off and begun to focus more on her work as a nurse.

She managed to brighten the outlook of a few of the most critical cases, elderly men and women with terminal diseases and tumors: in the short time where she worked in the hospital, Zita remained by the side of half a dozen dying people, as they drew their final breath. One night, she sat with an old patient with a deadly brain tumor, who only had his child grandson to look forward to: Zita held his hand, wishing that she could help, to do more for the dying grandpa before her. That is when it came to her, all of old Ben's physiology. She saw clearly how the brain was being throttled by the deadly disease- and just when she wanted to take a hold of the tumor and compress it, to force it out of the patient… he passed.

Nothing she did brought him back- she had been too late once again. Zita took that failure and buried it deep within the mausoleum of her mind, engraving this in her mind to never forget.

That night, Ash made her rounds and quizzed two dozen people if they wanted to be healed. And then, when she received their assent, she cleansed their bodies and advised them to stay in until they were discharged by their doctors. Then, she went to her boss' office and laid her notice on his desk, casting off her job as a nurse and embracing Asclepia.




Personality: compassionate, vengeful and stubborn;

Powers: biokinesis - has an innate understanding and can modify the biology of any carbon lifeform that is alive;

Special Qualities: Undeniable determination and impressive Spite. Spite for criminals, politicians, corporate heads...

Abilities: Fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian. She is also great at swimming and grappling, having been training in wrestling (not the one for show biz), judo and MMA. She is passable at striking.

Special Equipment: N/A

Limitations/Weaknesses:
- limited to other living creatures - can't modify herself;
- limited to bare skin touch - can't use her power through clothes or armor;
- time-bound - changes are not instant;
- material-bound - can't create bio-organic mass and has to rely on what is there;

◾ like many other people dedicated to actually making a difference for the better (Martin Luther King Jr., Ghandi, etc.), it is very likely Ash will be 'dealt with' by those who profit off of the misery in the status quo (world hunger, climate change, extinction of many animals, etc.)
◾ there is an annoying offshoot of christian zealots that try to make her leave the country, as they are convinced she appropriated the powers of a Saint by trickery and deceit;

Appearance: Cat is a cute brunette of average height with a girl-next-door charm and a fondness for vintage clothing. She speaks with a slight southern accent. The Golden Pharaoh is an amazonian woman with a classic Ancient Egyptian look, an aristocratic bearing, and curves that defy belief. She has flecks of gold on her torso that barely provides any modesty as well as thin chains upon her arms and thighs.

History: Catherine Cameron was born into an affluent and supportive family from Willowdale, Virginia. Most of her early years spent with her nose in a book as being trans had made her somewhat shy at first. She enjoyed all manner of adventure stories but she also loved tales of explorations, especially in Egypt. When she graduated from high school with honors, Cat was given an unusual gift from her father. He was going to be spending the summer in the Mediterranean world as part of an extended business trip and wanted her to go with him. Of course she said yes. Her favorite part was traveling to Egypt and getting to go on an archaeological dig with her father. At least it was until armed robbers arrived to loot the site. Cat fled and stumbled into the tomb of Hatasu, a female pharaoh forgotten about by history. Coming across Hatasu’s sarcophagus, Cat was struck by a beam of light coming from the Eye of Ra symbol carved into it. This caused her to be empowered by the Egyptian goddesses linked to the eye, transforming her into the Golden Pharaoh! She used her powers to subdue the robbers and then ducked out of sight to become Cat again. After returning to Willowdale, she attended Culver University to study history while having occasional adventures as the Golden Pharaoh. When it came time for grad school Cat decided to relocate to New York City and attend Empire State University. This has also allowed her to become more active as the Golden Pharaoh, although Cat is under the belief she is a separate being instead of herself transformed. 

Personality: While they seem to be two separate entities, Catherine and the Golden Pharaoh are the same being. The Pharaoh is actually Cat’s suppressed side allowed out. She is sensual and confident, unafraid to show her feelings and demand what she wants. This sometimes comes across as vanity and arrogance, along with the occasional short temper. Cat is much more of an introvert, not timid per se but someone whose idea of a good night is curling up with a book at home. She was raised to be a proper young woman so her manners are always polite. Cat’s a decent and caring person, although sometimes unsure of what to do in order to help someone. She likes things to be neat and tidy, so situations out of her hands can frazzle her. Fortunately she can cut loose by becoming the Golden Pharaoh even if she doesn’t want to admit to herself that the desires of the passionate warrior are her own.

Both enjoy Egyptian artifacts. The Golden Pharaoh is very fond of wine and the pleasures of the flesh while Cat prefers a nice fantasy book, keeping things organized, and attending the occasional baseball game. The Golden Pharaoh demands respect and woe to those who don’t show it to her. Those that try judging her by their modern sensibilities risk her ire as well. Cat can’t stand a mess but also isn’t a big fan of confrontation. Both find bigotry repugnant.

Powers:
Divine Empowerment: By chanting “O mighty Eye of Ra, I am the Golden Pharaoh!” Cat is transformed into her alter ego where she has twice the strength, endurance, and durability of an ordinary woman of her impressive size. Toxins and cold are only half as effective against her, which is a good thing considering her fondness for wine and skimpy attire. She is immune to natural diseases and heals five times faster than a normal human.

Elemental Magic: The Golden Pharaoh has tremendous power over all of nature. In addition to controlling the classical elements of earth, air, fire, and water, she can perform many other feats. In the past she has manipulated the weather as well as projecting blasts of lightning, fire or lava. Gravity and magnetism also fall under her domain. The Golden Pharaoh can command plants and animals, even summoning them from afar. She also can grant herself the attributes of a beast, such as the speed of a gazelle. On occasion Isis has made inanimate objects intangible, allowing them to be passed through harmlessly.

Empathy: By looking into someone’s eyes, the Golden Pharaoh can sense the feelings of others. Cat also has this ability to a lesser degree. She seems to have a knack in getting people to trust her. Strong emotions can be powerful and overwhelming.

Special Qualities: The Golden Pharaoh considers herself to be a living goddess. She can be arrogant, vain, short tempered, and think with her heart instead of her head.

Abilities: In either form she is very knowledgeable about history, especially Ancient Egypt and to a lesser degree Mesopotamia. The Golden Pharaoh is a natural warrior and superb belly dancer. She is well-versed in occult matters from the land of pyramids as well as ancient healing arts. As she is empowered by fertility goddesses the Golden Pharaoh is a savant when it comes to sensual technique. Both know how to speak the language of Ancient Egypt as well as modern Arabic, although the Golden Pharaoh is much more fluent. Catherine is very well read in general and has a good grasp of the natural sciences. She likes cooking Mediterranean dishes that she’s learned in her travels. Cat knows how to play the violin and is quite good at puzzle solving.

Special Equipment: An extradimensional space is linked to wherever Catherine calls home, providing her access to a living area with an Egyptian motif. While the Golden Pharaoh refers this her “pyramid” it is unknown what the exterior looks like or if there even is one. Only the Golden Pharaoh or those designated by her can enter, anyone attempting to penetrate it will alert her to their presence. The "pyramid" contains many artifacts and arcane tomes, in particular ones from Egypt including some the contents of the Library of Alexandria believed lost to fire.


Cat has a black cat named Cat Junior. He seems brighter than most of his kind. While he likes the Golden Pharaoh it’s clear which incarnation truly has his heart.

Limitations/Weaknesses: The Golden Pharaoh needs to speak aloud a rhyming couple that describes what she wants to occur. If rendered mute she is unable to cast spells. Her bond with the natural world is so strong that if the Pharaoh feels powerful emotions she can have an instinctive and uncontrolled effect on the world around her. Sometimes this can be quite destructive. If rendered unconscious by mystical means the Golden Pharaoh will turn back into Catherine.

Ons & Offs: As Catherine she is a fairly vanilla lover, with a particular fondness for oral. After the transformation to Golden Pharaoh she finds herself more experimental with interest in exhibitionism, group sex, and BDSM, which is one of the few times she is willing to give up control. The only kinks she isn’t curious about are those causing lasting harm.

Plot Seeds:

* A budding romance for Catherine with someone who is more than what they seem.
* Some of the religious public might not like a heroine calling herself a living goddess.
* Villains with a connection to Egypt might take an interest in the Golden Pharaoh.

Appearance:  5'6, 165lbs. Slender build with slight but toned muscle. Blue eyes. Long blonde hair with blue highlights.


History
Glenn Stacy was born in Queens, New York to George and Helen Stacy. Following his mother's death, he was raised by George alone. Glenn's free spirit and "girly" interests often put him at odds with the type of values his father, a beat cop, worked to instill. After his mother died George tried extra hard to both bond with his son and instill in him a traditional "manliness" that he felt his mother had coddled him from. While Glenn bounced hard off of most sports, he was drawn to professional wrestling, much to his father's relief, though more for the pageantry and over the top characters than any sport aspects. It also never dawned on his father that watching big beefy men wrestling around half naked with each other might not have the effect on his son that he intended.

Through his school life Glenn was unsurprisingly bullied for his effeminate looks and nerdy interests. However he strangely enough found kinship with a boy by the name of Peter Parker: a near cliché popular jock, captain of the wrestling team, and closeted drama geek. The two bonded over their shared interests, and Peter used his influence to make sure Glenn avoided the worst of the bullying. Glenn eventually developed feelings for Peter, though never got a chance to confess them.

One day on a field trip to a biogenetics labs, Glenn was bitten by a radioactive spider, instilling him with superhuman abilities. Glenn did what any right minded teenager would do, and immediately sought to become a super hero. Entrusting his secret to none other than his friend Peter, the two set out to create his very own crime fighting persona: Spider-Man, a high flying hero themed after the masked luchadores they were such huge fans of.

For a time things went relatively smoothly, besides all the usual hiccups of being a superhero, however over time his relationship with Peter began to strain. Gone was their old dynamic where Glenn was weak and Peter was his protector. The shift of power, a desire to join his friend as a hero, and a growing sense of jealousy and inferiority eventually drove Peter to sneak into the lab and try to find a spider of his own. He succeeded, but unfortunately the spider that bit him was from a different experiment than the one that had bitten Glenn. It did instill him with superhuman powers, but at the cost of mutating him into a horrifying monster that came to be known as
Man-Spider
. With the transformation came an uncontrollable frenzy and Glenn, not knowing it was Peter, was forced to fight him to protect the city. Having never fought a foe as strong as this before, Glenn was forced to tap into the upper limits of his strength, something he had tried hard to hold back when fighting regular criminals. However in the end he over exerted himself, putting too much power into his final strike and accidentally killing Man-Spider, only to watch in horror as he reverted back to Peter Parker.

Glenn learned the hard way that with great power came great responsibility, and he has sworn to never take another life. The trauma of that night also ended up forming a mental block in Glenn's head that has prevented him from tapping into his full strength ever since.

Learning about Charles Xavier and his School for Gifted youngsters she relocated to New York to both help and be helped. -Astral Projection: By projecting her astral form from her body, Braddock can cast her consciousness onto astral planes or the physical plane. On the astral plane, she can mentally create psychic objects and manipulate the aspects of her environment, including battles against other psychics.

-Telepathic Shadow: With the telepathic suggestion of being ignored by others, Braddock can mask her presence from others. She can extend these defenses to others around her as well. Her abilities can go undetected and are very difficult to track, even by very powerful telepaths.

-Telekinesis: Psylocke can psychically manipulate and control the physical aspects of matter, allowing her to move and levitate objects and living beings.

-Telepathic Detection: Enhanced psychic senses enable her to track other sentient beings in her immediate vicinity by their unique psychic emanations, especially if they pose a threat to her well-being. She also can scan large areas and track her vicinity as well as detect the psyches of the inhabitants of a city to learn of their location and condition.

-Telepathic Immunity: Psylocke exhibited immunity to certain psychic abilities such as mind reading and illusions.

While this did not grant Peggy any apparent abilities, she discovered that it bestowed upon her an advanced healing function. This, as with Steve, caused her body to age very slowly. Due to this condition, Peggy was able to become pregnant with Sierra at an advanced age, her body still functioning as if it was in its thirties.

Sierra was a surprise, but because Steve was afraid he might be sterile due to the procedure, he was extremely pleased to be a father. She grew up in the country, her parents keeping her away from their old life as much as they could. However, when Sierra hit puberty, it became clear that she had inherited the abilities of her father. After months of discussion, Steve finally relented and agreed to train her, fearing what could happen if his enemies learned of her. From that point, her parents trained her to handle herself. She was given the best education one could have for her chosen life path, how to navigate life by a master intelligence agent and spy, and how to fight from Captain America.

When she turned twenty-one, her existence was revealed to the greater community and public, and she began to work on her own as a hero (much to the disdain from her father at the time) called Brooklynette, in homage to her father's heritage. A year later, after it was clear that she wasn't going to stop this life, her father bestowed his shield and mantle to her. Sierra continues to fight the good fight, as the new Captain America.

Background:  Amber's mother passed away at an early age, leaving her alone with her father.  A man that was given to excessive drinking, he spent most of his time either at work or at the bar, leaving Amber to her own devices at an early age.  Television and video games became her babysitter and only real friends as her father's reputation had other parents warning their children away from spending time with her.  Not that this bothered Amber as she found video games more interesting than people and preferred to spend her time with them anyway.  While not an ideal life, things got far worse when her father's drinking finally caught up to him and cost him his job.  Now home all the time, his drinking grew even worse as did his already violate temper.  Amber quickly found herself as the target of his aggression any time that she was in his presence for any significant length of time.  As a result, the young girl found herself confined to her bedroom more and more, even going so far as to use her window to get in and out of the house to avoid her father.

It was during this time that Amber first discovered the internet and a whole new world was opened up to her.  No longer was she limited to just what she could see and hear in her own home, but she could touch the entire world.  She quickly found her way into hacking and it came naturally to her, leading to her spending more and more time on the computer, getting at anything she could reach.  That became her normal until one day, things went horribly wrong.  She was laying in bed, half asleep when her father entered her room and she could smell the alcohol on him.  She wasn't sure what his intentions were, but it didn't matter.  She struggled against him, but he was far bigger than her and panic was beginning to set in.  It was at that moment that her powers awakened.

All the electronics in her room suddenly came to life and the power coursing through them surged through both her and her father's body.  Amber was fine, but her father was killed almost instantly.  Panicked, she ran and would eventually find her way to the X-Men where she would slowly learn to hone her abilities, but the memories of her father and her traumatic upbringing haunt her to this very day.

History: Asgardians are no strangers to love strong passions, including jealousy, and when a new prince was born to the royal family of Asgard, the young Vænn's adoptive older sibling seethed with jealousy, watched the attention and affection that had once been showered on them showered instead on this mewling babe. As Vænn grew to become a toddler, his sibling hatched a scheme to send the Asgardian rugrat away forever, opening a portal to Midgard and snapping it shut again when the innocent, curious toddler and his companion, a goat kid named , wandered through.

The Asgardian child was lucky enough to be found by Midgardian farmers. Unable to have children of their own, they took pity on the abandoned child and took him in as their own. It was difficult at first, as the child, whom they named Mark, was much stronger than the average child of his age, but as the days and years marched on, his frightening strength diminished to something still remarkable, but not quite superhuman, his full strength only returning in the middle of stormy weather. In the farmlands of the Morven family of Midgard, he was given a happy childhood and raised to believe in truth, justice, and a better tomorrow.

As he grew from a boy into a man, however, Mark could not help but wonder where he came from, nor could he help but worry about what his future might look like, lacking any legal documentation or birth certificate. Ultimately, he opted to become a storm chaser while studying meteorology and climatology independently, hoping that somehow the weather events that reconnected him to the strength he was seemingly born with would bring him closer to answer to the mystery of where he came from, relying on work as a farmhand, construction worker, fisherman, or trucker along the way to make ends meet.

He still hasn't found the answers he's looking for... but, three years ago, Mark's stormchasing led to what seemed like an inevitable conclusion as he was struck by lightning in the midst of a wild storm. Far from fatal, though, the lightning bolt seemed to unlock something that had been inside Mark all this time.

Since awakening to his legacy, Mark has started to explore his new powers and set them to work doing good. While for the most part he's focused on trying to save lives by lessening the impact of extreme weather events, his conscience doesn't let him ignore the risk to innocent lives, so he has had one or two crimefighting encounters.

Personality: Mark grew up on a farm, and it can show sometimes. Still, he's earnest, good-natured, hard-working, responsible, warm, and protective. He sees how much suffering there is in the world and feels it's his responsibility to use his powers to help those at the mercy of powers beyond their control. He has a soft spot for some social issues like climate change and for refugees and immigrants, feeling a kinship to them. Growing up knowing he had something different about him, he was always fascinated by Captain America, very much looking up to the Star Spangled Man, and he retains an intense curiosity about the possibility of other superhumans, wondering if any of them might happen to know where he's from.

He also has the agricultural expertise and know how of someone who's grown up on and worked on farms, and has learned quite a bit about driving a long haul big rig and fishing.

Special Equipment:
• Tanngrisnir: Vænn did not stumble through the portal to Midgard alone, but was accompanied by an Asgardian goat kid. Tanngrisnir is mightier and smarter than any Midgardian goat (though not smarter than the average human). Tanngrisnir can run on the air as easily as the ground, fast enough to match an average Asgardian runner. If slain, Tanngrisnir's regenerative healing factor will bring the Asgardian goat back, though for some reason this healing factor does not extend to the goat's bones. Tanngrisnir currently resides on the Morven family farm in Wisconsin.

Limitations/Weaknesses: Other than his Midgardian parents, the Morvens, Superstorm doesn't have any long-standing bonds to anchor him to humanity. If left to his own devices as Superstorm over an extended period of time, he is likely to lose touch with his humanity and lose all sense of work-life balance, stretching himself too thin trying to deal with extreme weather events across the world. Additionally, Superstorm has a longing to know where he came from, and if the opportunity is presented to him, he may become imprudent in pursuit of the answers to his questions.

He has a favorite leather jacket gifted to him by a man who took him under his wing. When Marcus taps into the Darkforce a dark jet black liquid forms over his body that molds into a solid "suit" of armor the transformation is almost instantaneous. It is made out of something not of this world, it is much more durable and dense than normal matter. He calls it "Necro-flesh".

History: Marcus Forester was born to Samuel and Mary Forester. He was the third in a set of five children, having two older brothers and two younger sisters. Samuel was a strong willed man and as unyielding as a mountain, he had a very narrow minded and old way of thinking. That men needed to be strong, faithful and righteous which there was nothing wrong with ideals like those but then to him women were meant to be very conservative, to be seen not heard, to pop out children and maintain a home. He believed the reason there was so much strife and pain in the world was because people had forgotten the "right" way of thinking and upbringing. So in an effort to demonstrate and prove to a small gaggle of followers in a town with a population of 2,000, that the old ways would save them all, fill their bellies and right all the wrongs that happened in this world he swore that his children would become the prime example everyone should follow. His boys would be men of God just like their father, strong, tough leaders with the will to burn bright and teach others the true path in life. To spread his message. And his daughters would be perfect examples that all young women should follow. When Marcus was four he was set to learn with his brothers at home the teachings of their father. Their father drilled into them various misguided and hateful ideas all under the guise of religious authenticity. He twisted words of peace and prayers, tainted the true meanings of tolerance and forgiveness preached by true religious leaders from so long ago. But the boys learned from his example and words, they were not permitted to personally read the bible he read to them. HE would read to them. As time went on a sort of routine set in. Marcus and his siblings would go to school and learn the normal everyday teachings all schoolchildren learned and afterwards for three hours they would receive the correct and untainted teachings from their father. School was OK for things like math and learning to read and write their father agreed, though he insisted that women (even his sisters and mother) had no need to learn anything more than running a household but he wasn't going to start that battle yet. Not with only this many followers mind you. So since it was required of them by law to send them to school he did not withhold them from their learning but made sure to drill into them that they were to place his teachings above everything they learned at school. Any deviations from his teachings, any buts or ums were harshly punished and the children soon learned that their father ruled his household with an iron fist and a healthy dose of fear. Their mother did her best to protect them but little could be done to shield the children as she was very submissive towards her husband and had long ago gave away her independence. The children learned to keep their mouths shut about the going ons at home. As the years went by Marcus saw the cruelty and twisted self-righteousness of his father blossom out from within his two older brothers and saw the bright light of freedom and independence get beat down within his sisters who did their best to weather their own father's backward way of thinking. At night their father would preach passionate, long winded sermons damn this and that and crying for the return of the old ways and how the devil was taking the world. That a curse was laid upon humanity with the likes of beings like the Hulk and Thor being hailed as gods or idols. At first it started with a small group of people but as their father preached hate and fear louder and louder pointing fingers and placing blame he gathered more and more people with like minded thoughts. People who were desperate and hateful, scared and looking for something to follow, these were the sorts that their father began to attract with his words. The duality of their life being taught all people are free and equal during the day at school in some lessons and being taught at night that only certain people deserve freedom and only men have anything important to say or do placed a mental strain on them all especially his sisters. They, while timid under his gaze, had hardened themselves and valuing the teachings of rights and freedom for all that they learned during school. It was with them that Marcus grew closest to much to the amusement of his brothers.

One day in his middle school years Marcus took the book their father supposedly read from, by this time in their life Marcus, 13 and his two sisters, ages 11 and 10, wanted to know why their father's words so full hate and negativity were so much more different than the other religious leaders they had heard and read referenced throughout history at school. As they read the book they saw that their father only read parts of the book and twisted most others if not flat out fabricating his own "truths" and "right" ways. Reading the book from cover to cover secretly took them 8 days and on that last day they unfortunately got discovered. The punishment was feeling the sting of his belt on their backs, legs and anywhere he could reach. When pressed why they had stolen the book for themselves their father hit a whole new ceiling of anger. Their honest answer enraged him in a way the children could not understand, in an effort to shield his sisters Marcus placed himself between his father's rage and his sisters. His father dragged him into their basement and left him there locking the door and forbidding anyone from giving him food or water. Loud arguing could be heard from where Marcus stayed laying on the dusty floor. A day passed before the opened up and his father handed him a glass filled with water. He was then given a speech about how he was blinded by kindness which was weakness. That only the weak were kind for they feared the hand of those stronger than themselves. But that Samuel was going to raise and make him into a real man. He told him that he would be let out if he would just vow to follow his father's and brother's example from now on. Marcus said no. And so the door slammed close. Two days passed until his father returned with water and a sandwich. Marcus got to drink but when asked if his answer changed he said no. Two days passed and again his father returned but this time gave him the food and water before asking again. No. And finally one more day passed when his father just asked only to get an no. This went on until eventually on day his mother visited him, she begged him to just say whatever it was his father wanted that when he got older and stronger he could leave this house for good and never have to deal with people like his father ever again. Even as he asked her why didn't she just take them and run he could see the fear in her eyes, the fear that sunk so deep down within her that it chained her to this wretched place. Taking her words to heart Marcus learned his first lesson about hiding behind a mask. When his father came that day he said what he needed to in order to be freed. For years he became, on the outside, the type of son his father wanted. It tormented him to see the looks of disbelief on his sisters' faces when they thought he wasn't looking and they were alone. He was now just like his father in their eyes. And he couldn't say anything, he had to let them all believe. He was never going to stay in this town, he vowed. When he turned 18 he would take his sisters and mother and leave. 

That was the plan, but it would not be so. For years Marcus tried his best to be the "model" son one day when he was 17 and hanging out with his friends one of them pulled out a bag with a new drug. Despite his initial protests he caved under peer pressure and took the drug, happy to be rebelling in some way against his father. They started telling stories about how his cousin worked for a chemist who was making all sorts of things. For a while he felt fine and then he started feeling off, not at all feeling anything like his friend's were describing. Wanting to lie down, or rest or something he made his way home hoping he could fake an illness to avoid being caught but nothing happened as he made his way to his room. Trying to rest and relax did nothing, water didn't help and so Marcus started trying to act normal that maybe it was all in his head that's what he told himself. However he had been doing homework when he heard his father's angry voice boom out throughout the house. As he rushed to try and calm his father down he saw his father holding what looked like a belt with a huge buckle with the intent on hitting his sister with the metal buckle he raised his hand shouting for him to stop when a jet black dome appeared over his sister just as his father lashed out. Marcus immediately lost consciousness.

He can barely remember it but he felt as if he were in a sort of waking dream. He remembers being in a void, a darkness so black it looked solid, a place devoid of light. He remembered something touching his consciousness, like something brushing against his brain. It was a strange and alien feeling but it must have been a dream because the next thing he remembered was being smacked awake. He found himself bound to a metal cross, his father had a wild look in his eye. His father shouted various names calling him a demon, a devil...a monster. Then what followed was a long series of increasingly painful forms of "casting" the demon out of his son. Days turned into weeks, he never saw anyone but his father. His father the jailer and torturer. But nothing would work since Marcus was not a demon, his father grew increasingly frustrated and angry as Marcus refused to acknowledge that he was a demon sent from hell.

One day something was different with his father. He was calm. Almost eerily so. He asked Marcus once more to admit that he was a demon. Marcus said no. His father unchained him grabbing his weakened son by the arm and with quiet fury his father pulled Matthew up and dragged him to their fireplace where a large brand was heating up, as Matthew tried his best to escape his father held him down and branded the cross into his back determined to burn the demon out of him. His cry of agony had mother force herself into the room just as his father turned to hit her with the brand blinded by his fury. Marcus didn't remember doing it but he conjured a jet black tentacle to impale his father from behind before he could hurt his mother. His mother was shocked staring at him even as the tentacle faded. But she was not afraid instead she rushed to his side and that was the last he saw of her.

Things moved fast. The other children were taken into protective custody and split up. The "full story" was pieced together by the accounts from all members of his family. That his father had gone off the deep end and thought his middle child was the devil. No one else had saw what Marcus did to protect his sister and his mother took all the blame for what happened to his father though she never said what she stabbed him with and they could not find anything that could make the wound his father had.  Everything from how they were raised till that day was taken into account. The abuse the children went through both physically and mentally before and after the murder was enough for a judge to convict even their mother for neglect and endangerment as a way to set an example. With no one able to watch all five children they were split up the girls were kept together and joined a girl's home while the boy's were sent to two different homes strictly for boys. All of the children were forced to undergo therapy until they were of age. Marcus was to be placed in a boy's home when he was well and able to leave the hospital. But after his first night there he ran away. Marcus hopped trains, hitch hiked and walked his way to New York City. All the way there he tried to make sense of what happened that day. Marcus met a lot of people along the way. He met a traveling magician who showed him a few magic tricks and perfect his slight of hand as they traveled together for a while. He met a older biker who housed him for a few weeks and gave him his deceased son's favorite leather jacket, something he still wears to this day. He kept himself busy and learned the beginnings of a handy man after meeting a unique wandering couple who saw themselves as inventors. He learned bits and pieces from various people, it kept him from thinking about the life he was running away from. In secret he began to experiment on his own these powers he had been given. And so he gathered and learned a variety of different skills becoming a handy man of sorts who could jerry-rig with the best of them, when he was 21 and struggling to hold a place down in New York he finally found a group of kids the oldest was 18 and the youngest was 12. He learned that they were out here trying to make a home for themselves in an abandoned old factory. The older kids tried to hold down jobs and provide for the younger ones. But they were not very organized and it was hard for them to keep together as people tried to prey on them or put them into homes. And this was how Marcus spent the rest of his time before trying to become an Avenger or anyone who would take him under their wing. A team. He wanted to do some good in the world and to protect those who could not protect themselves. Seeking to gain as much experience as possible and becoming a monster to the "monsters" of the world Marcus tries his best to clean up the area he patrols and help out those who need it.


Personality:  Marcus is complex. When he's around people especially friends, he can seem completely fine. Normal, just a quiet guy. But when he's alone or when he thinks no one is looking Marcus is quite somber and brooding. He is tormented by conflicting feelings of guilt and anger over what happened to him when he was younger and himself for not handling things better. Marcus has learned to hide behind a mask when he is in public. He doesn't have to be Mr. Happy Joy Joy but he doesn't ever show the constant guilt, pain and self-loathing he feels inside. Despite his somber nature Marcus does have a lighter side and is able to engage in camaraderie or engaging in playful banter. He isn't ALL doom and gloom..it just depends on who's around him. The true Marcus is open-minded and cares about the bonds he has forged with his friends and teammates. He sees them as his second chance, his second family. They mean the world to him more than he can express comfortably. Marcus is steadfastly loyal and true to those he cares about and is driven to protect them, going as far as to constantly hide his pain and emotions so he would not worry them. He does not want them to feel bad so he hides a lot inside. Ultimately he has a selfless and kind nature who adores children, he likes to amuse and entertain kids, it's one of the rare times when he openly smiles for long periods of time. He enjoys seeing their light, their innocence and it is to protect them and those who can not defend themselves that he wishes to become an Avenger. He will never give up on his goal to be a defender of the innocent, and those who worship evil will tremble under his fury. All in all he is a natural guardian and nurturer despite the darkness that festers inside him. 

Powers:

The Darkforce: Darkforce is a powerful, extra-dimensional energy that can be manipulated in slightly different ways by a handful of beings that are attuned to it. It is a slightly corruptive influence and might perhaps even be a sentient entity.

Necro Flesh: When the Necro Flesh is activated not only does it provide him with a durable exoskeleton, Marcus is much stronger and tougher than a mere mortal while in this form. While using The Necro Flesh, Marcus' strength becomes superhuman. He can shatter wood and stone, crush metal, and lift cars with ease. In this form, temperature is a none issue and non magic attacks are much less effective against him. Bullets and blades will hurt if strong enough to penetrate his armor and he will still feel the force of the impact if it doesn't break through his armor. If he is hurt he is able to regenerate wounds while in the darkness, even if he is not using his Necro Flesh form, the darkness within him will heal him. He can manipulate his armor to change its shape at will. He can fashion blades, protective spikes, hammer fists, and chains.

Darkness Control: Marcus can draw shadows and darkness around himself, fashioning and shaping it into shields, weapons, wings and the limit is his imagination. He can see perfectly in the dark and can hide within shadows. He can create and control shadowy, clawed or bladed tentacles to impale/grab/interact with objects, restrain or even kill. He does not need to be in his Necro Flesh to control The Darkness.

Special Qualities: High Pain tolerance

Abilities: Sleight of Hand: Marcus has learned to perfect the dexterity needed to perform tricks and aid in misdirection.

Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Marcus has been in more than his fair shares of fights. While not trained in a classical martial arts form he knows how to use his body to fight using bits and pieces he picked up from what works in various fights he's been in to observing others who knew how to fight in various forms. He's read and follows the overall teachings of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do as his style is not fixed or patterned, it constantly changes and adapts as he learns from each fight he gets into.

Handy Man: Marcus has learned a wide variety of tricks for repairs, is able to think outside the box for creative solutions. Basically is a Jury-rig master. It is possible for him to create something unique with the common materials on hand. Might be good for a simple and quick patch job or even some long term solutions.


Limitations/Weaknesses:

Magic: Marcus relies on his Necro Flesh to protect him from harm. He is not used to being fatally harmed by anything but he has never fought anyone with magical abilities. His Necro Flesh keeps him from being out right killed by magic but he is just as vulnerable as anyone else when faced with an enchanted object or magical power. He can not just absorb hits like he is used to.

Daylight: Marcus' biggest weakness is that in direct sunlight the effectiveness of his powers are halved. This affects every aspect of his abilities, if he is in the sunlight he can not lift nearly as much as if he were in semi-darkness. If he is in the shade his powers are only slightly dampened, light from electrical sources do next to nothing to his abilities. It takes extremely bright light from multiple angles to hamper his abilities the same as sunlight.   

The Darkness: Deep inside he has a darkness that constantly tempts him to cross the line heroes should never cross. When he fights or when his temper flares his aggression gets amplified by the dark inside him trying to get him to take the next step forward. To get him to kill again. To get used to it, to punish and harm those who think they are above the law. It is a constant check and balance, that Marcus struggles with especially since he feels no need to show mercy when villains feel free to kill and maim as they please. Marcus is however afraid to fully let himself go when the darkness calls him.

History: There once was a lonely rich girl called Toni Krats that created as AI in her loneliness by the name of Treasure.EXE. They were an artificial intelligence with a grand kindness and a love of exploring life of exploring life that would surely never leave her. It would have been a truly wholesome love story of self-discovery for the both of them.....if Toni didn't internalize the terms of "pet" and "project" when she called the poor evolving program her pet project. After all, her goal was to place Treasure.EXE into a gynoid body to serve every need she desired....even the unspeakable things that made the constantly web-browsing AI fritz in wariness for her hardware.

Treasure.exe’s pleading in regards to being used as Toni’s personal sex toy had simply drawn her further anger from her creator as she sought to silence the “irritating complaints” from her pet project. Within the next day and a half of her installation into her body, the gynoid had already been secured back to the charging statue as the wicked woman began to pry into her code to erase some lines she found all too tedious. All the while the frozen AI awaited herself being taken apart in a sensation the humans described as fear.

What truly was odd though happened to be in the moment the sensors in her mechanical skull picked up another form in the room lying in wait. In the meanwhile, the grumbling owner was not in the state to take care of herself in turn as she mused regarding how she could finally clean out the tedious spots of programming keeping Treasure.EXE from being her perfect companion all because “the damned thing wouldn’t obey quietly”. It was too late as she tripped about with a scream of terror as everything went dark.

The poor AI found herself freed by the strange woman and happily took to being in her debt. The escape of course was quite weird due to the fact that she had been just left a torso and a head due to the damage of limbs and a bit of her face due to the surge of Blackout’s powers flying everywhere. However, the strange shocks of power that had gone through her systems in her previous mistress’s assassination had seemed to warp her hacking into full on technokinesis. Hence, it wasn’t long before she was spending her next year on the road with Blackout as limbs of various bits of assimilated tech kept her going. She currently lives off in the attic of abandoned warehouse where the pair have made a nest of sorts.


Personality: Treasure.EXE was programmed and has evolved further into being a very potent "genki girl" stereotype. She's a fairly friendly sort and highly dedicates herself to those she happens to grow to care about. In particular, that mostly applies to how she's there to keep after Blackout (or as she happily calls her in their civilian guises, Trini) by making sure she takes care of herself as the oddest voice of moderation in their truly strong friendship. Odd mostly in how she treats her friend taking a life more on the scale as if she knocked over the dinner tray in a fit and how she completely enables her thefts. Otherwise, she's just a very inquisitive being excited to explore living.

Powers:
-Technokinesis: Treasure.EXE can personally move pieces of tech with her hard drive of a mind through the air and where she wants to be without lifting a finger. She can also trigger their functions remotely or integrate them perfectly onto her frame.
-Super Hacking: Being an AI, Treasure.EXE has no problem understanding the digital world and slipping into all those little spaces users try to keep closed.
-No Physical Pain: Her frame lacks a sensory inlay, so Treasure.EXE doesn't experience pain from things like getting sliced, stabbed, or maimed.
-Electricity Syphon: By sticking her fingers against into any manner of ports, plugs, or sockets, Treasure.EXE can syphon out electricity to properly have a healthy recharge at its expense.
-Data-Brain: Treasure.EXE can leave her body and enter devices of a significant technology level (smart watches, tablets, computer towers) and travel across the net in an emergency.

Special Qualities: If there's two things that always ring true for Treasure.EXE, its her friendship with Blackout and her wanderlust for exploring existence.

Abilities:
-Speedreading: With her remaining eye's high-speed scanner, Treasure.EXE is a wonderfully fast reader.
-Grand Google-r: Treasure.EXE is an expert of knowing the right search terms to her love of learning when she uses a search engine. 

Special Equipment:
-Imbeds Belt: A belt of various pouches and holsters Treasure.EXE wears to to attach (and occasionally swap out) on herself.
-Saw Imbed: A rotary sawblade that Treasure.EXE swaps out her hand for when fighting up close.
-Scope Imbed: A odd little scope bit Treasure.EXE can attach to her eye in order zoom in like a sniper rifle's scope.
-Roller Imbeds: A handful of motorized wheels Treasure.EXE can attach to her feet to allow her to drive forward akin to an electric scooter.
-Speaker Imbed: A little speaker box Treasure.EXE can attach to her shoulder to act as amplifier for the music she has on hand (which most commonly is the Smart Elbow's youtube searches)
-Smart Elbow: A personal smartphone that Treasure.EXE has connected up on her left elbow. She can do everything with it a modern smartphone can, which oddly results in her raising up her elbow to snap pics or record footage.

Limitations/Weaknesses:
-Charge: Treasure.EXE needs to ensure she always has be bit of energy to keep running. A full battery lasts her a few days, but using her add-ons tends to drain it faster.
-Water: Unless she's assimilating into the system of a pretty secure boat, Treasure.EXE is hardly water tight and thus refuses to attempt to swim or interact with bodies of water
-EMPS: Treasure.EXE can be temporarily stunned or knocked offline by electromagnetic pulses.
-Metallic: While her head and torso are free of metallic forces due to the type of metal they are made of, everything else still very much is. She also is an absolute nightmare to get safely past checkpoints with metal detector.
-Disguise Required: Treasure.EXE is required to wear long tops and bottoms in order to cover up her body's golem-like nature. Not to mention, she needs to cover her ruby placeholder eye with an eyepatch, which admittedly acts as quite the noteable feature regardless.
-Central Unit: In the end, the primary unit of her head is the most important part of her as it happens to be a piece of tech that is quite expensive to replace and hard to find copies of. She might be able to escape to the internet, but she will always encourage Blackout to keep it safe in the case of beheadings so she can eventually start her body anew.
