Who's the Writer: I'm still struggling with the answer, but I should try my best: I was born almost thirty years ago but I don't feel quite ready yet to walk into my fourth decade of life. I'm Italian – that's what you can read on my passport, at least – but I'm quite fluent in a (small) bunch of European languages, too. I like reading – a lot – and playing chess. I like so many authors that I can't come up with a proper list without feeling like I'm being unfair to one of them. I play the bass, I can't sing, I like rock music. Despite a somewhat nihilistic take on life and a bleak sense of humor, I'm quite open and friendly and laid-back (I am, I swear!). I have been roleplaying for a little bit more than fifteen years and in various languages, but have only recently switched to thread-based roleplays. I only write in third person, past tense. I always use pictures for my characters, and I'd love my partners to do the same (it should be noted, though, that I'm not a fan of the manga / anime / hentai aesthetics). As a rule of thumb, I reply to every PM I receive and if I happen to lose interest in our story, you will be the first to know (but I will likely give it a chance or two to see if we can bring it back!). I don't care about your real gender, even though I will surely be interested in knowing more about you.

Posting Rate & Length: Still with me? Great! Now, posting frequency may vary due to work and real life. However, as a rule of thumb I try to post at least once a week for each of my stories. Depending on my muse, I might be more prolific in certain stories, but I try not to leave anybody hanging for too long. Please note that English is not my native language and I have to put a lot of effort in my writing. I don't have a standard length, but most of my post range between 500-900 words.

What I'm looking for: I'm looking for great writing partners, full stop. Your real-life gender doesn't mean much to me as long as you feel comfortable with the character you're writing. Being able to bring your own ideas to the story is a big plus. If you're interested in a plot and want to get in touch, please make an effort and give me details (why do you like that specific idea, what would you add to it, do you have an idea for your character, etc.).

Flickering Neon (or my dystopian plots)

Foreword: As far as I recall, I've always had a taste for dystopia as a literary genre. In my teenage years I went through many of the classics, and I have recently gotten back to them (especially Philip K. Dick's novels – God, I love Philip K. Dick's novels!). Unsurprisingly, the reasons why I enjoy reading them today are no longer the reasons why I used to love dystopian novels in my youth. Anyway, I would like to explore some of the most common themes (and, who knows, a bunch of not-so-common themes, too!) in dystopian literature through stories, and I will update this thread whenever I come up with a new plot. If you have an idea for a story, shoot me a PM.

A few words about the concept: The place is a megalopolis in the United States of America. The year is... not that important. But it's the future, baby, and it's a lot worse than you'd think. Liberal democracy has long degenerated into an oligarchy in which the boundaries between big corporations and political parties are more blurred than ever. World population now almost exclusively dwells in large, overpopulated urban centers. Technology, of course, played a major role in the development and upkeep of this police state: citizens are often, if not constantly, under electronic surveillance, whether by the countless CCTV cameras filming the streets of every major city or by the strict control the government exerts on the Internet. Small pockets of resistance exist insofar as the government considers them harmless. Drug and alcohol consumption is widespread, especially among members of the lower classes.




Fake Plastic People - Not Interested Right Now (but I'd be happy to play around with the idea, so you can still write me!)

Main Themes: MxF or FxF - human / android relationships - action - ethics & violence - oppression & rebellion

Scenario: The entertainment industry has recently launched a new model of androids that resemble in all respects to human beings: they have memory, they have feelings, they are able to process foods. They look like human beings, but they're not human beings: they do not feel pain, for instance, and they have no legal rights. Many of them, especially female models, are employed as sex workers either in often-unauthorized brothels or by private citizens who can afford buying one. The problem? Well, the problem is that a growing number of these models have fled their owners and now live in illegality.

Model no. C-4TS9900, also known as Claire Williams, 21 years old, happens to be one of them...

Looking For: Partners of any gender for a long-term story. I have a slight preference for writing the F android in this one, but I can be talked into picking up the other character if my partners wishes to. This plot revolves around a fundamental question that has been floating in my mind for the last weeks, which is the following: what are the limits of morals when there are virtually no consequences to one's actions and what truly defines humanity and human nature? Potential partners should come up with an idea for their character (who could either M or F, I don't mind): a policeman on her tracks? One of her neighbors? The general mood of this story will depend largely on this choice, so... feel free to hit me with your best ideas.

Side notes: Those of you familiar with the works of Philip K. Dick will surely recognize a certain DADOESque flavor to this plot. Of course, having read the book / watched the movie is not mandatory.

As Real As It Gets (mostly modern and slice-of-life plots)

A few words about the concept: Well, it's Planet Earth and it's 2019. A lot of people live in there, but we're telling the story of two (or a bunch, the more the merrier!) of them. What you will find here is basically modern, slice-of-life-esque kind of plots which usually require a bit of an effort in developing our characters to make things interesting. But I know this doesn't scare you, now, right?




Verified Members - Undecided: could give it another shot with the right partner

Main Themes: MxF (can lead to MMF, MFF, etc.) - exhibitionism - open relationships - amateur porn

Scenario: We all know the Internet brought about dramatic changes in our lives. Sure, there's fake news and people spending way too much time on Instagram than they care to admit. Presidents posting whatever goes through their mind on Twitter. It also made porn a lot more easy to reach. And to make. Pretty much anybody with a decent smartphone can now produce and star in their own porn video, and amateur sex-tapes have become quite a hit on adult websites. Our characters, a couple in their late twenties, decide to film and then upload their throes of passion on PornHub with a verified amateur account. What starts as a game / a way to spice up their sex life / a quick and easy way to make some money (or the three combined) soon turns to be more profitable than they could possibly image. Which is why they decide to step up their game.

Looking For: Partners of any gender for a long-term story. I have a slight preference for writing the F character in this one, but I can be talked into picking up the other character if my partners wishes to. This plot revolves around a simple concept, really, but it also opens up to several interesting themes. It might be interesting to explore how this ends up affecting their relationship. How far are they willing to go for cash / the sheer thrill of popularity. And what if somebody they know happens to recognize them?

Side notes: If they ever decide to open up their porn stunt to other participants, we might need to take on other characters, too.

Guiding Lights - Open

Main Themes: FxF - romance - mentor-and-pupil relationship

Scenario: An up-and-coming young director participates in an independent film festival in Denmark. But what happens when, on the evening following the premiere, she runs into one of the directors that inspires her the most? I’m looking to tell the story of two kindred spirits – two women, ideally, but that can be changed – and the life-changing encounter each represents for the other. Themes may include a slight age gap, infidelity (?), sweetness against the background of Scandinavian white nights.

Looking For: Partners of any gender for a long-term story. I would rather write the younger director, but can be talked into picking up the other character if my partners wishes to.

Coming Out - Not Interested Right Now

Main Themes: FxF - romance - road trip

Scenario: Unbeknownst to her parents, Laura has been in a relationship with a girl for now almost four years. Coming from a well-off, conservative family, she has never had the guts to come clean with them about her own sexuality. Until she does, and sets on a week-long road trip with Helen to introduce her girlfriend to her parents. My idea is admittedly quite simple: telling the story of their relationship throughout their trip to Laura's parents. Simplicity, however, requires a certain degree of complexity for things not to get boring real fast.

Scenario: It all started as a stupid game, his girlfriend flashing boobs in a crowded parking lot. Just for the thrill of it. He would take pictures of her. Until he realized he was in for more.

Looking For: Partners of any gender for a long-term story willing to take on the M character as well as on a number of partners that will sleep with his girlfriend. Please note that I'm not looking for a purely smutty story. Instead, I'd love to explore the evolution of their relationship as they open up their couples to other people. One Shots and Short Stories (although they can be turned into longer ones!)

Name: Hey hey, my my...

Content: Light | Drugs & addiction | Some on-the-road shenanigans | MxF (or MxFxM or FxF or...)

Scenario: I think I've developed some sort of fascination for tales set in the world of rock-and-roll music and I would like to explore the long-gone era of early 90s rock through the story of two musicians. They could be bandmates or play in different acts (perhaps one is on the brink of commercial breakthrough, whereas the other is still somewhat underground), in which case they might be touring together. All in all, what I'd like to tell is the (love?) story of two deeply flawed (self-destructive?) human beings as they struggle to hit the stage every couple of days while keeping their addiction(s) at bay and survive through all the craziness of their fellow bandmates.

Setting: Anywhere across the US, really. I quite enjoy the freedom that comes with the whole "life on the road" trope. Please mind, however, that my knowledge of US geography largely derives from having been exposed pretty much all my life to its popular culture (TV series, movies, books, music, you name it!).

Requirements: As you may see, it's more of a sketch than a full-fledged idea and nothing - except perhaps the setting - is set in stone. First and foremost, I'm looking for someone who's willing to bring their own ideas to this story. I would say a good knowledge of the most popular bands of those years would be great, but it's not mandatory. Also, the prospective partner should be alright with a slower pace, as summer is coming but work ain't slowing down at all! I'm posting this in the one-shot thread as I would be happy with a short-lived story, but I'd be more than up to turn it into something longer if we both enjoy writing it.

Other info: I'm looking to play the F role in this one. I think I see this as an MxF story, but go ahead and change my mind!
