On the Hunt for a Fantasy Group Story

Hello all,

So, I'm currently in search of a Fantasy group story to take part in; preferably a relaxed posting rate with detailed writers and well thought out characters and overall story. I've started watching Critical Role and getting into D&D for the first time (though I have never attempted learning any systems before, nor is this a search for a beginners system game) and they've inspired me to want to take part in a Fantasy group, mainly in the realm of a mismatch band of of people who have met/meet in happenstance from all different walks of life with different abilities, goals and motives.

I have yet to really see any available group games recruiting for this kind of story (at least as of right now), so I was wondering if anyone would be up for GMing such an adventure? Or if there are currently any group games running that I could join in as a later character in your already developing world? (I would be open to a more sandbox-type game with GM events sprinkled in or a heavily GMed game if such a thing exists at the moment.)

Art Inspiration

I have no thoughts for a character yet, as I would determined this depending on other player characters in already established stories, or as and when I need to depending on if this search comes to fruition, but I would be really interested in hearing if there is anything like this currently out there, or if anyone else is interested in this premise!
