Is cereal soup

Just what the title says, is it soup, is the dry cereal a salad with a milk dressing, or could it possibly be that the milk is just a condiment to better compliment the taste?

Cereal is soupy, this is true, but I see it more as a dessert than anything else.  I'll eat a bowl of cereal for a quick snack and sometimes for a meal.

Dessert is probably the most appropriate. I mean, cookies aren't cereal but I always dump a handful of them in milk and then eat it like a bowl of cereal (usually Oreos or other similar sandwich cookies, particularly Nutter Butters) so that seems like the most apt description.
