I want to set an image either float left or float right into the text of my post and the forum bb code seems to have changed since I was last here (Nov 2024). I've looked at a couple of tutorials but they appear to be out of date. Can anyone please advise? Many thanks!

The float code changed, but afaik most of the img stuff is still the same.

Just do (float=right) or (float=left) with [ instead of ( now!

That's what I'm using. I cannot get the image to resize to full resolution when you click on it and there is an enormous blank border around it when I set padding=5.

(float=left](img height=200 padding=5]https://elliquiy.com/elluiki/images/b/bf/Itomori.png(/img](/float]

I have tried width=200 instead of height and it makes no difference.

Is there a bb code guide on E? I'm sure I've seen one recently but can't find it again now.

Testing

[float=left max=50%][img padding=5] https://elliquiy.com/elluiki/images/b/bf/Itomori.png[/img][/float]Testing
Is this what you’re looking for?

Trying this out too. This is clickable.

[img width=200]https://elliquiy.com/elluiki/images/b/bf/Itomori.png[/img] Trying this out too. This is clickable.

That second one is what I am after, thumbnail to full size - thank you so much.

Hi again lovely peoples. I uploaded an image to the Eli Wiki which is 704x1056 pixels but it is not showing as that size in an RP post. I've checked I'm linking to the full sized image so I'm unsure what I've messed up. Any ideas please?

Here's the post and image:

Here's the wiki entry:

I seem to have fluffed something up, just not sure what.

Thank you, though I am unsure how that gets added? I didn't put it in. I just wrote:

[ float = left ] [ img ] URL [ /img ] [ /float]

So, it's the default for the code. When you click the float button, it does it automatically. I'm thinking maybe if you don't specify the max, it will add in the default on its own. So, what you'll want to do is put [ float=left max=100%] and it should fix your issue!

Thanks! That was it. The code has changed since I was last on the site and I didn't know about that. I have to say its weirdly counter-intuitive... but it works now.
