If the background doesn't appeal to you though, we can probably use that as a template for the rules of having 4 arms, and go from there
Yep, my plan was to make a near-human, swapping Bonus Skill for Additional Arms, as it’ll make her better at multiattacking ^_^

I'm interested. Considering playing a Mandalorian

Hey Bowen, If you are still interested The GM has created an OOC for all those Interested. So feel to pop in. https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=363661.new#new. I let the GM  know you were interested in Bringing a Mandalorian and  that is fine by Hairyheretic.

Okay, I'm interested.  Plus give me a change to RPG without being the GM.  (I'm near forever GM in my local GURPS group).

Anyways, I have two questions:
1.  I don't have access to the saga edition, and am very cash-strapped so I can't purchase it.  I do have an extensive collection of pdfs of the original d20 SW system, however.  How much is that going to hinder things?

2.  I have a Jedi character concept, but very different from what you mentioned.  I man in his early 50s, who a few years before the start of the clone wars, was an up and coming Jedi, just making the rank of Master.  But he had a crisis of faith: he fell in love with a woman, and then she died in some horrible Jedi-related-cum-adjacent thing.  His fellow Jedi were "your fault for getting attached, deal with it"  So not being able to reconcile his grief with his teachings, he left the order.  Became a droid repairman or engineer, but still maintains his connection with the force and his abilities.

Living through order 66 was hard; I foresee a lot of angst about it...if he'd stayed would he have been able to see the treachery?  Keeping out of the Empire and Inquisitorium’s sight isn't a problem, he'd been living as a non-jedi for well over 20 years before the Empire came.

Don't know if he has a saber or not, but definitely has the knowledge to make one if required.  Perhaps has his kyber crystal on s thong around his neck.  As far as alignment, he would definitely be a 'grey knight' type.

(Plus, big, tall, gruff, bearded, and a Dom)

And, yes, I think I'm showing my feathers as a die-hard GURPS player: character concept first and freeform.  If you're okay with it, I can peruse the pdfs I have and see if I can spin a character...hard to get all this in a starting one without a lot of wiggle room, but if we start level 5 or so he can have some levels in Jedi and then more in another class.

The star wars saga edition wiki will probably be enough to get you through the basics, and if you have questions beyond that, I'm sure we can answer them.

I didn't want to have too many force users. I was aiming for one amongst the group, which we have (and I think a second person was interested, I haven't caught up on the ooc thread yet) so I'd really prefer no more.

We're starting at level 3. Character creation is a little non standard. Pop along to the ooc thread and you'll see what we have so far.
