Anyone here play on Roll20?

If you haven't checked it out there is a great site called Roll20 that helps connect people who want to play various games. I am craving a DnD style game and was wondering if there were any other E members might play or use this site? Maybe we can get a group together? Figured it couldn't hurt to ask. :)

I think the hardest thing about that might involve finding a day and time to play.  I'd volunteer but I already have my hands full running a game on roll20 that is near conclusion.  There are game advertisements on roll20.  I've never looked at any games outside of the ones that my friends run so I'm not sure how those generally work out.

Seems interesting but honestly having a running DnD group of a decent size online is hard/impossible to do, especially due to the frequency of dropouts and time zones/schedules.

It can be.  Wow.  That brought back memories.  I had forgotten how hard it was to find some stable players outside of my friends.  I think half ended up being incompatible due to preferences and personality clashes.  From there, I would have people drop out without notice.  They weren’t all like that.  I did have some players that stayed around for a good deal of time.  It’s comparable with turnover in group games here.  To avoid a game fizzling out, I think it wouldn’t be bad ideas to build a group with people you know who are reliable before officially starting the game. 

I still use those old characters to help flush out my games as former adventurers that got a job in the town, turned into enemies, or plot devices.

I play on roll20. I play 5e D&D, but kind of the same that everyone else is saying. It's hard to find a consistent group, good DM, good players with enough similar interests and desires to get along...it is hard.

It might work if there was an ERP west marches group that was just as serious about the D&D side as the ERP. I've thought about trying to start one and know of one or two other D&D players who are interested, but I'm not where I want to be as a DM yet. But I'd still be interested as a player
