Character Creation Information and Rules

• All characters must be eighteen years of age or older.  No exceptions.
• Characters of all races, ethnicity, genders, and sexual preferences are welcome.
• Humans only.
• Captive characters from the barn are prohibited at this point.  They must be married, claimed or converted into the Church.  This is mainly for your benefit.  The last time this group was running, the number of complaints and messages from people about not having something to do with their captives in the barn was becoming too much.  If you're going to have a captive character, they must be tied to a church member, whether it's a player-created character or an NPC.
• Sheets must be correctly formatted before being posted.  I am more than willing to help if need be.
• There is a maximum of three active characters per writer.
• Sheets must be submitted to me through PM.  Approval process can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days.  GMs have lives too, you know.
• Do not post your character sheets unless you have been given explicit approval from me.  Failure to do so will result in your sheet being moved to the inactive thread until issues are worked out.
• Pictures must be actual individuals, or realistic artwork.  Photos that are overtly cartoonish or anime will not be allowed and will not be accepted.  No exceptions.
• You may declare one or more of your characters as Inactive.  Your face claim will remain in your name, and your sheet will remain approved, however you can not play said character as long as it is inactive.  You are allowed a maximum of three active characters.  You may have a maximum of three inactive characters.
• You may switch a character to active to inactive, and vice-versa, at your discretion.  HOWEVER...  If it becomes the opinion of the GM that you are abusing this, switching back and forth at a whim constantly to circumvent the three active characters, you will be denied future switches of characters for a period of time.
• You may list a character as inactive, and not create another character in their place.  Listing them as inactive will be a sign that they are not currently available for future scenes.
• Please try to refrain from writing one or two word weaknesses/flaws.  Make it stand out a bit more by putting a little more meat there for people to read and consider when interacting.

A Note on Editing Sheets and Questionnaires

I don't mind edits and minor changes to your sheets.  I feel like I don't need to review every minor change that might come up in the course of the group and story, so please don't feel the need to PM me and have me review something small like that.

However, when it comes to major changes, like a complete rewrite of your character's history for example, please PM me to let me know, to at least give me a chance to look over it and review the change.  In essence, changes like that feel like new characters, and would like to review them before they're brought fully into the game.

So basically, if it feels like you're creating a new character, PM me.  If it's small, simple edits, carry on.

[b]Notoriety:[/b]  A new addition, replacing the occupation field.  This is where you list what your character is best known for, or their occupation.  Are their baked goods infamous through the community?  Are the one of the best nurses?  Are they good at fixing things?  Are they a good and honest Guardian?  What would they be known for in the community?  Feel free to have fun with it.

[b]Physical Appearance:[/b]  This is an area for the explanation of your character's physical appearance.  Height.  Weight/Body Type.  Clothing Style.  Tattoos/Piercings.  Scars and Birthmarks.  Hair Color.  Eye Color.  Basically describe your character's appearance that may not be evident in the picture you are using for your character.

[b]Age:[/b]  How old is your character?  They must be eighteen years of age or older.

[b]Personality:[/b]  This is an area for the description of your character's personality.  How they behave around others.  What makes them unique?  Give a glimpse into their mindset.

[b]Religious Views:[/b]  Another addition to the sheet.  What are your characters views about the Church and it's doctrine?  Are they devout, old school individuals?  Do they think that the Church is too strong in it's views?  Too weak?  Are their views something that would be well known, only hinted/talked about, or are they a secret?

[b]Flaw(s):[/b]  This section is mandatory.  You must have at least one flaw about your character.  It can be a personality thing.  A vice or addiction.  Physical ailment.  Physical deformity.  More flaws are certainly encouraged.  Please try and stay away from one or two word flaws.  If you just list a couple of one word flaws, you may be asked to expand upon them.

Notoriety: Officially, Faith is known as a purveyor of homeopathic remedies and nutritional supplements, popular within the community and reasonably successful as a mail-order business to America at large (supplying online shoppers as well as certain alternative medicine and health food stores around the country). While that's all true, less officially admitted is the fact that Faith is a drug pusher. While a chemistry undergrad pulling a lab project all-nighter, she stumbled on a highly additive, euphoric recipe she dubs Bliss. It's used by certain religious figures to help give them visions, recreationally by some others, and there are rumors that community elders keep a low dose in the local water supply to make folks more pliable to the elders' rule and more loyal and zealous as members of the cult. She also deals in normal 'street' drugs within the community, like weed and cocaine and meth and illicit aphrodisiacs. Faith herself keeps relatively clean (other than a mild and high-functioning cocaine habit).

Physical Appearance:  5'10", 120 lbs, slim and mildly athletic. Reddish-blonde hair (she likes to think of it as 'strawberry blonde'), moony brown eyes. Pierced ears, and she's been flirting with the idea of a belly piercing (just cuz) and-or a tongue stud (heard it helps one give more stimulating fellatio). Clothing style varies between casual model chich and hippie/bohemian.

Age: 28

Personality: Eccentric, and outgoing but surprisingly bookish. She has a vivid, almost hallucinogen imagination. She likes dirty humor but may not admit to it in polite company, and loves to learn sordid rumors about others.

History: Although a straight A student and born a member of the community, Faith had an inner wild child dying to be expressed, and she thought college would be the ideal place to experiment....which she did, with her roommate, and later several sorority sisters, and with a number of herbal and chemical substances as well. Faith was a chemistry major, and, inspired by a certain TV show, took to making and selling her own meth on campus, and later a new drug she accidentally came up with herself (a regular Louis Pasteur, she) which she dubbed Bliss.

She had a 'religious awakening' at the end of her college career (due to narrowly avoiding being discovered and busted for her drug dealing) and decided to move back to the Community, and become a faithful member of it. She put her chemistry and 'alternative pharmaceutical' learnings to use there, serving as an unlicensed pharmacist of sorts, and purveyor or homeopathics, nutritional supplements, and of course drugs. 

Rumors and Gossip: 

Faith returning the community was due in part to almost being busted as a college drug dealer, but also to her own brother 'showing her what a real man was'.

Faith is still a drug dealer and someone to go to if you want things and can pay.

One of those things on offer for the right price is Faith's body.

Faith has hallucinations and a mental illness, bipolar disorder and-or schizophrenia perhaps, possibly manifested by drug use.

Faith herself is inbred.

Faith is quite good at marksmanship, and loves to shoot, and has an almost Freudian fondness for firearms.

Community elders encourage Faith to use her 'Bliss' drug as a cult recruiting tool, and to bribe/corrupt certain law enforcement officials into turning a blind eye to the cult. There are also rumors that Faith was pressured to (or was happy to) use her body for similar ends.

Religious Views: Faith is a believer; not an especially hardcore one in her own mind, but she is very loyal to the church elders (who are able to make use of her drug dealing as inclined in exchange for mutual discretion and her being able to operate her side biz as long as she doesn't cause conspicuous OD deaths within the community).

Flaw(s): Faith is kinda crazy; maybe bipolar, and has some hallucinations (which she likes to think are religious but are more likely a combination of a genetic abnormality and drug use). Faith can be rude/impolite and has a vulgar sense of humor.

Sexual Preference: MxF and FF; Faith is definitely bi. She prefers dominant men, and is a switch with other women, liking both dominant and submissive women as long as they are attractive in a feminine way.

Character Name: Faith Seed

Face Claim: Brittany Murphy

Notoriety: Faith is a recent convert, having been 'brought into the light' (read: kidnapped and now thoroughy Stockholm Syndromed) by community member Louis Masterson. She's an assistant for his business, serving as a mule for contrband or as otherwise needed.

Physical Appearance:  5'10", 120 lbs, slim and mildly athletic. Reddish-blonde hair (she likes to think of it as 'strawberry blonde'), moony brown eyes. Pierced ears. Clothing style in college varied between casual model chich and hippie/bohemian, now she dressed more conservatively as part of the community (but sometimes secretly wears naughty things underneath). 

Age: 19

Personality: Eccentric, and outgoing but surprisingly bookish. She has a vivid, almost hallucinogen imagination. She likes dirty humor but may not admit to it in polite company, and loves to learn sordid rumors about others.

History: Although a straight A student born to wealthy Arizona rancher parents, Faith had an inner wild child dying to be expressed, and she thought college would be the ideal place to experiment....which she did, with her roommate, and later several sorority sisters, and with a number of herbal and chemical substances as well. Faith was a chemistry major, and, inspired by a certain TV show, took to making and selling her own 'product' on campus.

'Never get high on your own supply' is a saying for a reason. During one road trip with her sorority sisters that became a serious bender, Faith got separated from the group and their car. Strung out, she stumbled into the camp and was intercepted by one Louis Masterson, who become both her captor and her rehab. He had his own reasons for not letting her go...and Faith developed something of a Stockholm Syndrome (or Beauty and the Beast as she likes to think of it) complex, and has become quite loyal to him, and a fanatic follower of the community's religious and lifestyle doctrines. Now she assists Louis as he sees fit, and she's always happy to help other people 'see the light' as she has.

Rumors and Gossip: 

Faith was a college drug dealer.

Faith is assistant/mule for Louis's contraband business....and for the right price, one of the types of 'contraband' on offer could be her body.

Faith has hallucinations and a mental illness, bipolar disorder and-or schizophrenia perhaps, possibly manifested or exacerbated by her recent period of heavy drug use.

Faith is quite good at marksmanship, and loves to shoot. She grew up shooting in rural Arizona, was on her college marksmanship team and a regional champ (before failing a drug test and being booted), and she has an almost Freudian fondness for firearms.

Religious Views: Faith is a believer; and she is very loyal to Louis and the faith in general.

Flaw(s): Faith is kinda crazy; maybe bipolar, and has some hallucinations (which she likes to think are religious but are more likely a combination of a genetic abnormality and drug use). Faith can be rude/impolite and has a vulgar sense of humor.
