In writing, a flaw is not the interesting part of a character.  What is interesting is how a person overcomes a flaw.  I want to read how a person overcomes a flaw, not how the flaw overcomes the person.

It's a weird situation. In some cases, he's Green Arrow's half black son. In others, him and Black Canary's son. But hey, young and bold sounds like fun right now.

Juggtacular

Legal Name: William "Billy" Batson
Alias: Shazam, The Wizard
Age: 21
Sexuality: Hetrosexual
Residence: Fawcett City

Description:

Billy looks like your typical "Jock" in the simplest terms. He's a solid 6'2, and tips the scales at about 220lbs sculpted into hard muscle from a lifetime of fighting, sports, and exercise. He's got brown skin without a single blemish. Though he does have multiple scars from a rough and tumble childhood.

When he transforms into Shazam, it is essentially his human body being altered into a perfect, Godly equivalent. As a result, his Shazam form is essentially the same, with small, yet noticeable differences. Obviously, his height and weight are increased, and he gains a few inches on top of a few hundred pounds. His features become far more chiseled, with his jaw bone, cheeks, lips, everything looking as handsome as possible.

His alter-ego's costume consists of a bluish-black bodysuit with his lightning symbol on the chest, matching gauntlets, and boots. He also wears a hooded trench coat with the symbol of SHAZAM on it. His entire outfit has golden highlights spread throughout.

Persona:

Billy has grown up a victim of the system, struggle, bad luck, whatever you want to call it. All he has left in this world is his little Sister, his best friend, and his Uncle. For a long time though, it was just him and Mary. With no other option than looking out for his sister, Billy quickly got his head planted solidly on his shoulders. Being orphans was hard, but he managed to stay a good person despite living on the street with Mary and having to do things to survive he'd never want to say out loud.

However, he understands the value of hard work, as he would do odd jobs when he could to bring in some extra money. He also kept the basic tenants of human kindness and decency that were so rarely shown to them; he remembers that much from their parents. However, he is no pushover. He had too much to lose to allow people to walk all over him, so even to this day he doesn't put up with bullshit from anyone. So despite being the typical jock, he differs in that he's not an asshole.

He's worked for everything he's ever gotten so he knows what it means to have things because you earned them. This means he doesn't tend to take things for granted. He's a pretty nice guy, although he can be a bit of a hot-head; especially if you know how to push his buttons. Shazam is basically the same as Billy, however, he is guided by Godly wisdom and confidence so it's not surprising that people tend to note the difference the first time they're around one, then the other.

Powers and Skills:

By shouting SHAZAM!, Billy is transformed into a Godly version of himself, empowered directly by the six Gods who empower Shazam.

Solomon's Wisdom
Hercules' Strength
Atlas' Stamina
Zeus' Power
Achilles' Courage
Mercury's Speed

Weaknesses:

Despite being only Twenty-One, Billy seems to suffer from a form of PTSD brought on by living on the streets from six years old to nearly fourteen. During that time he endured beatings to feed Mary, ran from drug dealers and gang bangers, and did awful things to survive. The nightmares still find him sometimes. Also, he does tend to get a little cocky. Okay a lot cocky, but can you blame him? He turns into a God for...him sake!!

Magic: It seems that Magic can affect anything and everything, even other magic. Despite the sheer power Shazam possesses, he is still comprised of magic. So anything or anyone with powerful enough magic will be able to affect him and harm him as well.

Only Human: Billy is 100%, completely human until he transforms. When he isn't, he's just an athlete, but no more special than any other human. Bottles, bats, bullets, fists. Weapons or dangers of any sort will hurt him just as easily as the next guy.

Speak on it: The Shazam transformation is two parts. Spoken Word, and Will. He has to say the word "SHAZAM" to trigger the living lightning bolt. However, he has to actually want to transform, so simply saying the word does nothing. Also, as he needs to actually speak the word of power, if for any reason he is unable to speak, he is of course unable to transform.

Background:

William "Billy" Batson was born in Fawcett City to Clarence and Brittany. They were archeologists who shared a fondness for Egyptian history, and in fact conceived both Billy and his soon to be born little sister in Egypt. During one such expedition, when Billy was about six or so, they brought back a scarab said to be a lost relic from the city of Khandaq. After much research proving it to be true, they planned to donate it to a museum.

They never got the chance though, as a man claiming to be "Teth Adam" reincarnated broke into the family's home and murdered Clarence and Brittany before taking the scarab with him. Billy and Mary were placed in foster care. The two were treated poorly and bounced from home to home. They even both gave up promising homes as they only wanted one or the other, not both. Eventually they ran away, and as if by magic, they found an old abandoned subway station. In that station was a solitary car, and in that car was like a home away from home. It had beds, a fully stocked fridge, everything two kids needed to survive on their own.

The two began to live there, and for a while things were good. Then one day, they got better. Them running away from the foster home got their names in the paper, and that had allowed their uncle Quentin to find where they'd been. He took an ad out in the paper hoping they'd see it. The family was soon reunited, and Billy started a new chapter of his life. For a few years, life was normal. Billy had friends, went to school, talked to girls. He even started making music. He forgot all about the subway train car. Then one day, a blind old man was getting beaten up by some thugs. Billy didn't even think, he just tackled the closest one, grabbed the guy and ran with him while the thugs were still in shock. He didn't know where he was going, but somehow ended up in that very station, in front of that very car.

They hid inside, but this time, something different happened. The entire structure moved, flipping the car around with a massive false wall. And once they were on the other side, the car suddenly accelerated to incredible speed before a white light bathed them. When Billy finally opened his eyes, he could see they were in some sort of chamber, with a throne made of stone in the center of the room, and six larger thrones spaced evenly around the room. "Come, William. It's time to meet your destiny," the blind man said as he stood and walked right past him out of the door. He went to stand near one of the thrones, and another flash illuminated the room. This time, Solomon himself stood there. "Welcome, to the Rock of Eternity, William. We believe you are to be the next Shazam.

The Champion warrior of the Gods, who protect ancient magic and those who can't protect themselves." By the time he was finished talking, five more Gods filled the other seats. It turned out the test was easy enough. They simply had him shout "SHAZAM", and just like that, lightning suddenly split the sky and crashed into him. He screamed, but not in pain. More like shock and confusion, as he could feel the Godly energy surging into his body and changing it in ways he never imagined or hoped for. The transformation happened very quickly, and when it was over, a Godly version of himself was standing where he'd been. Strong, fast, wise, powerful magic.

He was a worthy champion for the Gods indeed. Since that day, he has been fighting crime as Shazam. Mainly he's noticed doing the standard hero thing. Stopping bank robbers, muggers, supervillains. No one really sees the true dangers he fights, the dark things spawned from even darker places of magic. Superman had been his idol for a while, and so Billy has sort of modeled himself after the Kryptonian, although the name Shazam is showing up plenty in the papers nowadays.

MasterOfMyFate

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Name: Connor Hawke (AKA: Connor Lance-Queen)
Identity: Red Arrow
Sex: Male
Height: 6'0
Build: Toned
Age: 19
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Dark Blond
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Relationship status: Currently Single
Residence: Star City

Description:
Connor has a very young expression heightened by his slightly tanned physique. Blond locks he inherited from both his parents, Connor keeps his hair slightly long yet not long enough to block his vision. Normally Connor is seen in average clothing for an every day person, but that's to hide the fact that he bares any resemblance to Oliver Queen. The only resemblance Connor lets out is the fact that he wears a red Kevlar suit with a hood that has Velcro inside to keep the hood from falling off. Add in the red Domino mask and Compound bow that pulls at least 100 lbs of draw, many people mistake Connor for being the next Speedy or Arsenal. Despite all that, Connor keeps a low profile fighting crime and staying out of the team Arrow profile.

Persona:
Connor isn't old enough to be able to intimidate someone. What he does do though is utilize the tactics his late father did; crack a joke. Connor comes off as a very joyful and always wearing a smile when he fights crime, much to the villains aggravation. However, deep inside, Connor is hurt, scared, and lonely. He's trapped on a universe that is not his own and haunted by the lost of everything he cared for in his universe. Despite all that, Connor yearns for companion ship or at least someone to talk to. Yet, he knows he shouldn't. Despite everything he wants, the fact remains that he doesn't belong on this Earth.

Powers:

Canary Cry: Despite being the son of Oliver Queen, known regular hero with no special powers and only fights with a bow and arrow, Connor inherits the Canary Cry metagene from his mother Dinah Laurel Lance. The Canary Cry is a power in which the user utilizes their scream to project a sonic wave capable of moving objects and shattering glass easily. Like his mother, Connor uses both his pain and anger to heighten the strength of his Cry while using sheer willpower to control it. It wasn't always so easy though. Now that he's trapped on a different Earth, Connor does his best to not use this power less someone put two and two together.

Skills:
Archery: Not a world class renowned archer like his father, Connor is quite capable with a bow and arrow. Relying on trick shots and trick arrows to make up for his near perfect accuracy, Connor makes sure to keep only blunt arrows less he accidentally kill someone.
Unarmed Combat: Being trained by Green Arrow is one thing. Being trained by Black Canary? That's asking for pain. And yet, through the pain, Connor can say he could hold his own for 5 minutes against Batman. It was a proven fact on his Earth, this new Earth? He hasn't got a chance to measure up yet.
Melee Combat: Connor learned this skill from his father. Using Eskrima drills along with sword play, Connor has became just as good as a fighter with a bow as his father. Knife fighting were his favorite drills though.
Stealth: Connor, despite being tall, is able to squeeze through tight places with almost an ease. Being mentored for a small bit by the likes of Batman, Connor learned the importance of utilizing the shadows as one of his tools. With not being the best Archer or Martial Artist, Connor uses everything else to make up for it. This skill being one of them.
Theatrics: Like his father, Connor likes to show off. Add in a splice of using his wit, some smoke, and shadows, Connor is quite capable of making himself to be more than just a man in the mind of his opponent.

Equipment:

Compound Bow: Connor lost his usual bow from his previous Earth and has replaced it with a custom made compound bow that helps with his accuracy and trick arrows.
Bag of tricks: Ranging from explosive arrows, grappling arrows, arrows with nets in them, and smoke bomb arrows, Connor's quiver is filled with various trick arrows and is custom made to hold up to 30 arrows with changeable arrow heads so he wouldn't have to memorize the arrows he loads into his quiver.
Sonic Amplifier: Belonging to his mother, Connor wears the sonic amplifer choker just in case he ever needed to pull out the Canary Cry to fight someone above the strength of a normal human.
Balistic Kevlar suit: Like his father's, but red, Connor made a few changes to the usual Arrow suit. Namely the hood and the color scheme.
Multi-vision Domino Mask: Built by Wayne Tech from his Earth, Connor's mask is capable of computerized sight that can change from night-vision to heat-vision. It also records everything he sees, he never knows when he would need that.

Biographical Information:

Origin

Born as Connor Dearden Lance-Queen, Connor spent most of his early years hiding from the terrors that plagued his world. After some heroes people trusted went off their rocker and started murdering criminals, Connor's parents took up arms to fight along side the heroes who believed that those other heroes should be stopped. Connor lost his father in that war and almost lost his mother had it not been for Doctor Fate who saved him and his mother. He even saved another Earth's Oliver Queen who had lost his wife in a similar fate as Connor's original father had suffered. Outside of his Earth, Connor had spent the first three years of his life happily with his parents. But, once the terrors of his Earth had quelled, the family returned to aid in the rebuilding process.

The fourth year was when everything changed. An extra terrestrial life form came knocking on the front door step of the planet bringing unimaginable terrors with one singular goal in mind; indoctrinate the Earth into part of Braniac's collection. Little Connor's parents took up arms along with Earth's old and new heroes, leaving him in the care of a sitter outside the cities. Yet, Connor was targeted by Braniac's Betas to study his unawoken meta gene. Yet instead of capturing an easy target, they unintentionally awoken the meta gene within Connor. Due to all the stress and horror that befell Connor's eyes, Connor blasted everything within his site. Connor's parents found him with everything torn and in piles of destruction surrounding him. He almost blasted them too if he didn't recognize them. Everything after that became much more complicated after that.

Dinah Laurel Lance, Connor's mother, tried everything within her power to keep Connor away from interested parties and the general public. Repressing Connor to not use his meta gene, refusing his inquiries to learn how to be a hero like his parents, and renaming him so he could enter school without be associated with his parents were the easily explainable solutions. Despite all this, Connor never relented in trying to convince his parents that he wanted to be a hero too. At the age of thirteen, Oliver finally cracked. In his defense, it was when he saw how roughed up in a fight Connor got at school that triggered it. While Dinah was away, Connor and Oliver practiced everything they could within short amounts of time. The rest was either spent as "father and son time" around less populated areas of the city and as "homework" for Connor. And just like his father, Connor wasn't really a natural at Archery. It didn't help that it was one of the least subtle lessons to be learned so they didn't spend as much time on it as they should've. This routine lasted six months until Dinah found out.

Birthright

It was a heated argument. One that ended with Connor and Oliver begging for their lives. But, never the less Dinah loved "her boys" enough to relent. And instead of telling to stop, Dinah decided she didn't want to raise a son who couldn't take a punch even from her. So with the combine efforts between both parents, Connor was on track to being a capable fighter. They didn't baby Connor in their efforts either, and he didn't complain. The harshness of Black Canary's technique was instilled through every bruise Connor took, while the technique and style of Green arrow toughened his hands. For two years non-stop, Connor was ran through the grinder between both parents until they thought he was old enough to begin learning to tap into his meta gene. The struggle wasn't having Connor bring it out. The struggle surrounded the fact that Connor couldn't control it. They were almost found out as a family of super heroes too if it weren't for the combined efforts of the super heroes of today such as Green Lantern, Supergirl, and Batman working along side both Parent's to calm their son down.

In the aftermath, Batman chastised both parents for trying to teach their son in an environment with a large amount of people around. But despite the frustration shown on his face, Batman welcomed the family into the Batcave as a secure place to examine Connor. At first Connor didn't want to go with the scary bat, but with the calming words of his parents and a smile from the other heroes, he relented. And for the next few months Connor went through trial and error to bring his Canary Cry into some semblance of control. The real key to him learning how was from the Green Lantern and the Flash teaching him how they control their powers in the first place. With the Green Lantern, of course will power and control of ones own fear were the key lessons. With the Flash, utilizing the pain Connor felt and teaching him how to live with his pain was his two cents in. With both rage and serenity blending together, Connor was able to both increase and decrease the kinetic output of his Canary Cry while finally able to stop himself from continuous use of his power.

Superman's Armageddon

At age sixteen, armed with a new ballistic suit made from Wayne Tech, one his father's old bows, and the skills he learned from both family and friends, Connor was ready to face his chaotic world as his father's new side kick; Speedy. Fighting side by side with the heroes of his world as their newest and welcomed edition, Connor aided in the fight to rework civil order in a world that had lost it years ago. This war of crime and disorder was waged for two years of Connor's life until apocalypse reached his world. Superman, the hero and champion of the world who was then turned into it's greatest tyrant, had returned from the Phantom Zone. After suffering from an ageless eternity plotting for the day he would return, Superman banned together with the universe's worst to finally bring an end to Earth's heroes once and for all. Batman, left in despair as to how low Superman had finally sunken into his madness, took up arms against his old friend who once again brought together Batman's son, Damian Wayne, Wonder Woman, Black Adam, Cyborg and this time paired himself with the likes of General Zodd, a Daxamite Army, and the successor to Superman's "throne" Mon-El. Together, this Army waged a war for control of the Earth under Kryptonian rule.

Yet the Earth was not going to take this sitting still. Together with the world Armies armed to the teeth, both heroes and villains all banned together for a bid to protect the Earth from Kryptonian rule. With their usual weaponry consisting of lead bullets, it was easy to find the weakness of the Daxamite Army. Yet they weren't the main concern Batman was focused on. Batman had gathered the grown up Supergirl who had now became Power Girl, Green Lantern, Flash, Harley Quinn, Firestorm, Blue Beetle, and the Queen Family along with the villains they once called enemies such as Aquaman, Bane, Captain Cold and his rogues, Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad, and Lex Luthor's final plan to defeat Superman that sat in waiting even after Luthor's death at the hand of Superman; a perfect clone of Superman induced with the same ideals Superman once believed in. With the Superman of Old by his side, Batman infiltrated the Fortress of Solitude with a select team of himself, Supergirl, the Queen family, Firestorm and Blue Beetle in a reckless attempt to end this all. There was no planning that went into the fight, just Batman and Superman pairing off with their respective members fighting against each other.

Connor barely survived being paired against Damian Wayne. The son of Batman and successor of the League of Assassins finally raised to the peak of his performance nearly picked apart Connor if it wasn't for the fact that Connor put anything and everything to thwart every attempt on his life from the assassin. Damian proved to have better Martial prowess than Connor, but Connor soaked the knowledge of theatrics and deception from Batman better than Damian ever could. Tiring Damian out by taking every hit, fueling Damian's rage with his wits, and every tool in his bag of tricks to blind Damian enough to get a shot or two in, Connor stood victorious for a brief moment only to find the hand of Mon-El wrapping around his throat and proceeded to choke the life out of Connor. Believing he was going to obtain the easiest war victory, Mon-El took his time choking Connor slowly. Unknown to Mon-El, Connor had enough air to scream into Mon-El's ear who had loosen his grip on Connor. It was in this moment that an arrow with a led arrow head lodged itself within Mon-El's wrist. Mon-El released Connor immediately, who had Canary Cry'ed Mon-El with enough force to send Mon-El flying into the open portal to the Phantom Zone once again.

Connor, after defeating two of Superman's regime, turned expecting to see his team as victorious as he was. What he saw was the rest of his team slowly losing the fight against Superman and his allies. With the Clone Superman facing off against Zodd only to find half of his face burnt off and lying on the ground. Power Girl barely managed to best Wonder Woman with the help of Black Canary, only for Green Arrow to fly into his wife with Black Adam being the one who threw Green Arrow and him holding a defeated Firestorm by his neck. Blue Beetle charged in at Black Adam and after defeating Cyborg only to have Firestorm thrown at Blue Beetle and both knocked out. Firestorm's matrix was undone to reveal both people who combine to make him separated once again. A tired and wary Power Girl utilized all her strength to face off with Black Adam and Genral Zodd while Connor checked to see if his mother and father were alright. Managing to help them regain consciousness, Connor and his family looked up in time to see Superman had finally committed the last crime anyone thought he never would. Superman forced his entire arm through Batman's chest, killing his old friend in the same manner as he killed the Joker. Enraged at the thought that she failed her friend once again, Black Canary unleashed her the full fury of her Canary Cry at Superman. Joined by Connor, both meta humans combined the kinetic force of their Cry's to force Superman into the ground with his eyes, ears, and nose bleeding profusely as his insides were being scrambled. In a last ditch effort to stop the ones who were hurting him, Superman blasted Black Canary in the stomach with his heat vision.

Connor stopped his Cry to watch as his mother fell to her knees. Superman, with his mind fried to the point of having no recollection of who he is or having any sense of thought, because to roar as a monster unleashed. With the combine efforts of Green Arrow and the awoken Damian Wayne who was enraged that Superman killed his father, both non-super powered humans could only watch as every explosive they could use had no effect on Superman who's brain and insides healed irregularly to the point where he was unrecognizable. Connor, who watched the life leave his mother's eyes, could only pay attention to the final words his mother had for him. She had took the choker off her throat and placed it on Connor's, speaking of how Connor looked so grown. He final words were but a whisper "I'm scared Connor. I don't want to leave you in a world alone without being able to come home to me and your father. I'm sorry we couldn't be happy forever my beautiful baby boy." Connor, now holding his deceased mother in his arms, closed her eyes. Connor stood up to see Superman had thrown every person who held arms against him away with his father and Damian in the wall. Connor couldn't tell if they were alive, but he couldn't concern himself with that right now. He had to stop Superman. Suddenly, the Clone Superman stood and tackled the damaged Superman. The light of the fortress to revealed that his half burnt face did not contain flesh beneath it, but metal and wires that were sparking.

Connor, seeing his chance to finish melting Superman's mind, unleashed the full power of his Canary Cry which was enhanced with his mother's sonic amplifier choker. What Connor didn't realize was that the sheer force of Kinetic Energy and the explosion of the bomb that laid within the Clone Superman's, now newly dubbed Cyborg Supermman, somehow ruptured a hole that created a singularity, a breach that bridged two universes together. The force of the singularity sucked Connor closer in, not before he watched as Green Lantern and Flash arrive and save Power Girl for the might of Zodd and Black Adam who were too tired to save themselves from being sucked into the singularity. Connor, who's hand was gripped by Green Lantern's creation who tried to keep Connor from falling into the singularity. However, the strength of the suction from the singularity was too strong and Connor could only help but watch as all his friends looked upon in horror as the final victim of this war was sucked into the singularity. However, Connor was smiling. He watched as his father stood, screaming his son's name, alive and well. It brought peace to Connor's mind that at least his father was alive as Connor was taken from his universe.

Stranded

It felt like an eternity of falling, Connor thought. As he sunk deeper within the bridge between worlds. He wondered if this was what it was like to be sent into the Phantom Zone and that his thoughts then jumped to Mon-El and how Connor hoped he didn't kill him with the Lead poisoning. After all, learning from his mother about the value of life, Connor pledged to himself the no kill rule like other heroes. A rule he's pretty sure he broke when his Canary Cry initiated the bomb within Cyborg Superman that blew apart both Supermen. Somehow, instead of destroying them both, the kinetic force of both the bomb and the exploding kryptonians and Connor's Canary Cry collided with each other. With both forces unyielding to each other, the force of the clash opened the singularity; a breach. And with the Canary Cry, it opened even further than it should of been. The breach both sucked in the explosion from the bomb and the two remaining threats of Superman's bid for the world. The final price Batman's ideals to maintain a morality that seems so silly now Connor had time to think about it, was Connor himself. His Earth would hardly miss him. He barely had any effect of the war efforts at all besides taking out Mon-El and stopping Superman for a period of time. But in the end, Superman still murdered him mother, Damian Wayne is probably still at large, and maybe the rest of his Earth might've been sucked into the breach as well.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, Connor found himself falling into an ocean. Barely scrapping by with all his equipment being soaked, Connor found himself stranded on an Island. He thought he had returned to his own world after he spent months trying to signal out a SOS. By some weird twist of fate, Connor managed to get a boat to rescue him from the Island, which he later learned was the same Island the fishermen once rescued a man named "Oliver Queen" from. Excited to hear the name of his father, Connor returned to civilization and sold his custom bow to earn himself enough cash to make his way to America. Once he arrived, he found out easily that he wasn't in his world anymore. Arriving in Metropolis, Connor watched as both Batman and Superman teamed up to fight an armored Lex Luthor, who Connor only saw statues and pictures in a history book. Baffled to see his world's two greatest champions of good and evil working together as this world's finest, Connor could only stand back in awe as he learned more about how this world was much more peaceful than his in a way. His father and mother lived in this world, although they were much younger now, all the heroes he once fought along side and fought against were alive and well. Everyone seemed so younger and happier to Connor.

For once in Connor's life, Connor felt alone. All Connor knew of his world was tragedy, hardship, and war. His world was a never ending cycle of psychological madness that the world he was stranded in now seemed so much brighter and pure. Things were simple in this world; good and evil were now a fine line from each other. Superman, his world's greatest enemy, was this world's greatest champion, and Connor felt comfort in that fact. He now saw the Superman both his parents and Batman once idolized and Connor couldn't do anything but watch. Connor, slowly but surely, sunk within the daily life of this new Earth in his father's home of Star City feeling lonely and afraid. But worst of all, Connor felt like he didn't belong on this Earth and it was his punishment for causing the singularity that he was forever trapped on an Earth where he was the only one unhappy.

Other: This version of Connor Hawke is based of Injustice 2's Connor from Black Canary's ending/Injustice 2 comic tie in. I just took a spin on his future since the Injustice universe just seems so nightmarish. So the comparison could be made to Power Girl who came to Earth-1 in New 52 from Earth-2 who suffered from losing their Justice League as well.

Dunno if it's still open, but here's my character pitch. Meet Connor Hawke of a different Earth.

I've messaged SilkNSatan and registered my interest in playing Damian Wayne/Robin (aged up from his usual comic appearance, and more in line with the Robin in Injustice 2).

I'll make sure to post a character pitch/profile within the next day or two!

Here is my character pitch for Damian Wayne/Robin. With him being older than the comics, I took some liberties with regards to his history but tried to make it all fit in light of Bruce's death. If there's any problem, let me know so I can rectify it!

Also, for reference, the face claim is Steve R McQueen (most notably of Vampire Diaries fame).

ROBIN

Name:Damian Wayne
Current Alias: Robin
Other Aliases: Damian al Ghul, Ibn al Xu'ffasch, Redbird
Age: 16
Sex: Male
Height: 5' 9''
Hair: Black
Eyes: Green
Build: Athletic

Sexuality: Undisclosed
Marital Status: Single

Place of Birth: Arabia
Place of Residence: Gotham City

Description: Despite only a reasonably average height and a slight build that belies his athletic nature, Damian Wayne closely resembles a younger Bruce Wayne, though he bears the green eyes and black hair of Talia al Ghul. When in the public eye, Damian often wears casual suits that show his status as the son of a billionaire, as well as the temporary CEO of Wayne Enterprises. Behind closed doors, he prefers all-black and form-fitting clothing, perhaps due to his upbringing within the League of Assassins.
Damian's Robin suit has undergone very little cosmetic change over the years. He wears a dark red tunic over a black tactical suit, lined with dark green and bearing the Robin 'R' symbol. His shoulderpads, gauntlets, boots and cape are the same green, with the cape lining alternating between yellow or red. His identity is hidden by a domino mask, usually black or dark green, and he usually remains hooded, even while in combat. His utility belt holds an array of custom bird-arangs and a line launcher, and recently, he has been seen once again wielding his katana.

Persona: Headstrong and arrogant, Damian possesses far too much confidence in his own ability to get things done, and not enough confidence in the ability of others. He often pushes people away purposefully, as he cannot allow himself to be seen depending on other people, a trait which has brought him to blows with many that would consider him an ally. He is incredibly self-sufficient, and possesses aggressive views on how justice should be dealt. In the past, Bruce Wayne managed to curb some of these character traits, to the point that Damian sought to meet his fathers' approval. Now that Bruce is gone, however, he is regressing back to his former self. While he continues to fight for good, and is still reluctant to kill, he challenges the authority of the new Batman and often disregards orders entirely.
Damian is aware of his status, both as heir to the League of Assassins, and in his eyes, the rightful successor to Bruce Wayne as the Batman. His self-importance is growing while armed with this knowledge; he walks a fine line between hero and antagonist, but to his mind, his actions are just.

  • Billionaire: As the only blood relative of Bruce Wayne, Damian inherited a share of Wayne Manor and its fortune alongside Dick Grayson and Alfred Pennyworth. He is a silent junior CEO of Wayne Enterprises, but leaves the running of the business to Dick Grayson and Lucius Fox.
  • Heir to the League: As heir to the League of Assassins, Damian is protected from afar. His mother, Talia al Ghul, has a medical facility on standby, with its own staff and a multitude of cloned organs should her son ever need them.
  • Exceptional Martial Artist: Trained by the League of Assassins from a young age, Damian was said to know as many martial arts as the Batman by the age of eleven, and has only improved since.
  • Weapons Training: Damian is masterful in his use of the katana, as well as ranged weapons such as shurikens and batarangs. He once traded his katana for a bo-staff under the Batman, with excellent results.
  • Acute Auditory Perception: Damian has learned to fight opponents simply by listening to how they move. His hearing is so exceptional, that he has no difficulty fighting while wearing a hood, and does not need to see the enemy in combat.
  • Stealth: Although he no longer has the advantage of being a child, Damian has learned from both the League of Assassins and the Batman how to operate stealthily. Despite now having the size and stature of a young adult, Damian uses shadows and silence to great effect.
  • Acrobatics: Damian is an adept acrobat, and uses this in conjunction with his speed and mastery of martial arts and the katana to confuse and overwhelm opponents.

Weaknesses:

  • Only Human: Despite his many advantages, Damian Wayne is still a mortal human being, and is subject to their frailties and lack of meta abilities.
  • Killer Instinct: Through the efforts of the Batman, Damian's killer instinct was dulled, though ever present. Now, with Bruce Wayne gone, Damian finds himself challenging the morals that kept this instinct in check.
  • Lone Wolf: Damian doesn't work well with others, and often goes into the field alone, despite orders. On the occasion he does work with others, he expects them to adhere to his methods and to keep up with him, sometimes putting his peers at risk.
  • Curiosity: Having been denied a normal childhood, Damian is still learning the ways of the world, even at the age of sixteen. A child-like curiosity can sometimes lead him into trouble which, when coupled with his other weaknesses, results in him putting himself in danger.

Weapons and Equipment:

Robin Mask: Damian's Robin mask can be fitted with various lenses, from traditional white-out lenses to infra-red and night vision.
Katana: Damian wields a custom katana, gifted to him by his mother, Talia al Ghul.
Birdarangs: Similar to the batarangs used by the Batman and various other members of the Bat Family, Damian utilizes stylized thrown weapons, also known as Throwing Birds, with varying functions:

  • Standard - A simple bladed birdarang intended to incapacitate or distract. Can be thrown or fired from a gauntlet. Damian sometimes wields a trio of these birdarangs between his knuckles, to give his punches extra bite.
  • Smart - A smart birdarang that spins rapidly and hones in on a moving target once thrown in its general direction, accelerating before hitting. Can sometimes be combined with explosives (see below).
  • Remote - A remote-controlled birdarang with limited range, used primarily for surveillance and recording.
  • Explosive - A birdarang that can explode with small concussive force, to incapacitate enemies or break through solid walls. Can sometimes be combined with a smart birdarang (see above).
Utility Belt: Not as robust as Batman's utility belt, Damian nevertheless uses it to carry essential items into the field:
  • Smoke Pellets - To assist with stealthy escapes, Damian sometimes uses smoke pellets to distract and disorient others.
  • Miniature Flashbangs - Small clusters of explosives that cause no concussive damage, but emit a white light that temporarily blinds who are close by and looking in their direction.
  • General First-Aid Kit - For tending to wounds in the field. Contains painkiller, sutures, cleansing alcohol and a roll of bandage.
  • Grapple Line-launcher - Used to fire a retractable grapple line, to ascend to great heights and swing from building to building. Supports Damian's weight, not designed for more than one person.
  • Rebreather - A small, cylindrical device with limited oxygen, to allow Damian to survive should he find himself underwater or inhaling smoke and gas.

Trivia

Damian Wayne is a vegetarian. He attends college in Gotham City, where he studies art and literature, hobbies in which he frequently partakes when not fighting crime.
Damian believes there to be competition between himself and Tim Drake. He also believes he is winning that competition owing to Dick Grayson taking him as his Robin, and not Tim.
While he struggles to express anything other than superiority or anger with other people, he cares greatly for a Great Dane called Titus, one of the Wayne Manor guard dogs.
In his early crimefighting career, he displayed a willingness to kill by beheading a criminal known as The Spook. This would prompt Bruce Wayne to try and instill just morals within Damian, something he has struggled with since.
When he was barely a teenager, Damian showed a keen business acumen when investigating Wayne Enterprises and shaking up select board members. As such, when Bruce Wayne died, Damian inherited a share of the company, but is uninterested in adding the stresses of business to his college and crimefighting life.

History

Damian Wayne was born of a brief affair between Bruce Wayne and Talia Head, aka Talia al Ghul, daughter of the infamous Ra's al Ghul. Genetically perfected inside an artificial womb, he was honed from childhood to be a warrior of the highest caliber by the League of Assassins. By the time he was a pre-teen, he was proficient in many martial arts and weapons, and thanks to his mother, was aware of his status as heir to the League of Assassins. Thus, by the time Talia presented Damian to Bruce, he was entitled, spoiled, violent and arrogant, and instantly took a dislike to Tim Drake, the current Robin.

Although he was placed in Bruce Wayne's care in order to disrupt the work of the Batman, who had repeatedly rebuffed Ra's al Ghul's attempts to name him as his successor, Damian quickly came to want to assist his father in his battle against crime. His initial efforts were met with scorn, as he took to the streets against Bruce's will and administered judgement by the blade, counter to the Bat family ethos of no killing. Interpreting this as Batman having no faith in his ability to fight criminals, he doubled down on attempting to persuade his father to allow him to fight by his side, yearning for his approval.
When his League training started to cast doubts in Batman's mind as to Damian's ability to fight without unnecessary violence, he took the boy and confronted Talia. Unfortunately, an assassination attempt went awry, and Damian was caught in an explosion that almost killed him. Revealing her secret facility and the back-up organs cloned for her child, Talia had Damian tended to, and he made a full recovery.
He remained with Talia while being hunted by the White Ghost, a servant of Ra's al Ghul who wished to use Damian as a shell in which to truly resurrect his master, who had escaped death as a rotting, almost lifeless corpse. Fleeing to Gotham, Damian pleaded with Tim Drake but was rebuked, and their rivalry intensified as they brawled throughout Wayne Manor, unaware of the approach of several of the League of Assassins.

When the League struck, Damian and Tim formed an uneasy alliance, one which Damian was willing to break should it present an opportunity for survival. Despite their efforts, however, the pair were captured and brought before Ra's. To prevent Ra's al Ghul from using one of the boys as a vessel, Batman offered to help him find another way to restore his own body via the Fountain of Essence. Ra's agreed, and both Tim and Damian were spared. While Batman travelled with Ra's, Talia took Damian to undergo further training with Merlyn, a skilled archer within the League.

When Bruce Wayne was killed by Darkseid, Damian Wayne chose to remain in Gotham, and when Dick Grayson took up the mantle of Batman, he selected Damian - not Tim - to be his Robin, after Damian donned Jason Todd's former Robin outfit to save Dick from the resurrected Jason. Tim Drake took this as an insult, and punched Damian, ending their relationship on worse terms than it started. The decision was not to slight Tim, however, but to ensure that Damian grew to be more than just a killer.
Damian had no respect for Dick in their early days, often undermining him and promoting himself as the true heir to the Bat. Over time, the pair began to tolerate each other, but without Bruce Wayne, Damian questioned the ideals that his father and Dick had tried to instill in him. As he grew older, he operated alone more often than not, and became increasingly violent toward criminals while distancing himself from the other heroes of his age. Perhaps needing closure, he began visiting Thomas Elliot - the man known as Hush - in prison. While he claimed it was to hone his mental prowess in games of chess with the criminal, and to find out why Hush had altered himself to appear like Bruce Wayne, it was suspected that it was Damian's way of spending time with a representation of his father.

Now sixteen years old, Damian has made something of a name for himself in the absence of Bruce Wayne. By day, he is an aloof student, disinterested in the sensitivities of his peers or in forming bonds with them, barely handled by his professors and known as the 'Gray Son' of Bruce Wayne. By night, he has a reputation among Gotham criminals, and even some of the heroes associated with the former Justice League, as Robin, a man who isn't afraid to stamp out crime by any means necessary. Some have questioned whether there is more Demon than Bat within the young Wayne heir. Unfortunately, that answer may rely on whether or not he is accepted or shunned by the newly forming Justice League, and whether they can reign him in before he becomes a part of the problem rather than the solution.

Hey guys!!

I have messaged SilkNSatan with my interest to provide an Alfred Pennyworth for the game.

After all, someone has to man the Bat Cave, keep an eye on Damian, maintain some contacts with the regulars, and of course have that first aid kit handy for when our heroes return from crime fighting! All that in a sauce of some British sass and unwavering loyalty! I hope to have a character sheet up soon, for you all to look over :-)

Imo-

edit: and mix drinks, of course. Can't forget the drinks!

By accepting what is and making the best use of every situation, life can be fulfilled without a constant demand for more. --Wen Tzu

In writing, a flaw is not the interesting part of a character.  What is interesting is how a person overcomes a flaw.  I want to read how a person overcomes a flaw, not how the flaw overcomes the person.

Welcome indeed, we also have a Aquaman and Black Widow in the wings.

Thank you! I am excited to play everyone's favorite only Butler! ;-)

Also, if anyone wants previous ties with Alfred, please feel free to get in touch with me. I LOVE character connections!

I'll take it as given that those who frequent the Wayne Manor know him! And, from what I read, Alfred knew quite a few of the established heroes who he respected greatly, and who held him in high regard as well. (mainly Justice League members and Teen Titans, I think, but I don't see why others can't have known Alfred, either via Bruce Wayne, or via his connections with the Justice League)

Character sheet almost done. Needs a final check before posting :-)

Name: Alfred Pennyworth
Full Name: Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth
Age: 52
Sex: Male
Height: 6' 0''
Hair: Gray
Eyes: Blue
Build: Lithe

Sexuality: Heterosexual
Marital Status: Single

Place of Birth: London, Great Britain
Place of Residence: Gotham City

Description:

Despite being no longer one of the youngest Alfred keeps himself in shape. He is a fit, lithe man in his early fifties with grey hair and solemn, blue eyes that have witnessed too much hurt. Alfred is almost always immaculately groomed and dressed, with a tie and vest complementing his suit. Outdoors, a long coat is worn over his attire on cold days.

Persona:

Unshakable - Alfred is the epitome of calm and can withstand nine kinds of bullshit and temper tantrums without losing his cool.
Loyal - Alfred is unfailingly loyal to the Wayne family, and especially Damian after Bruce's death. As Damian's guardian he will be there to protect, advise and guide his temperamental ward, no matter what it takes
Respectful - Alfred is respectful towards others, and treats them with courtesy. This, as well as his tireless support of Bruce and Damian, has earned him the high regard of those heroes who are aware of his existence.
Cautious - While maintaining a friendly and welcoming facade, Alfred's is very slow to trust someone. This was further enhanced by his training with MI5 and SAS.
Sarcastic - Although usually immaculately polite, Alfred at times resorts to sarcasm. The current, most notable recipient of his wit is Damian Wayne, whenever the young man tries to reason his way around his guardian.

Powers and Abilities:

  • Former MI5/SAS: Due to his career in the SAS and MI5 Alfred has picked up a variety of skills
    • Spy - Alfred is a trained spy, and an expert at infiltration and gathering information.
    • Hand-to-hand combatant: Trained in all kinds of hand-to-hand combat, Alfred’s specialties are boxing and dirty fighting. Doesn’t matter what trick is used, as long as it drops the other guy.
    • Expert marksman: Trained to use many types of guns, Alfred is a first class marksman. Especially his aim with a sniper rifle is exceptional.
    • Medic- Knows how to use a first aid kit, and is capable of providing emergency medical aid in case of life threatening injuries.
  • Former actor: As a former actor Alfred not only does easily shift into a different role but his experience also makes him very hard to read. When the world looks at Alfred, they see what Alfred wants them to see. This also means he either goes unknown or is widely underestimated by those who could otherwise pose a threat. They only see a butler, after all
  • Swordsman Alfred is an excellent fencer, having received formal training at a prestigious fencing club in Britain.
  • Disciplined: When tempers flare, Alfred tends to stay calm and focus on what needs to be done. It takes a lot, and I mean a LOT, to ruffle Alfred’s feathers. This ability serves him well in his role as Damian Wayne's guardian, or when faced with the rivalries and tempers of the Justice League's heroes.
  • Long term service- Alfred has served the Wayne family for a very long time. This has resulted in the following perks:
    • Well connected: Alfred has been a resident of Gotham City for a very long time. This, together with his service to the Wayne family, has left him with many contacts in all layers of society that he may call upon for information or aid (although this may come at a price or counter-favor).
    • Tech savvy: He is no Lucius Fox by far, but having been with Bruce Wayne since the start of Batman's career, Alfred often serves as the Wayne’s in house mechanic, and knows how to operate the Bat Mobile and other vehicles, also knowing most of the other tech as he was there when it was developed, which ties into:
    • Access to tech: Being the one to maintain communications with Batman and Robin, and/or the Justice League, Alfred has access to all kinds of gadgets the bat cave has to offer, including (but not limited to) access to police radio communications, a computer grid overlaying the city that helps with tracking, sliced cameras and remote access to the Bat Mobile and the other Wayne family vehicles.
    • Moderately wealthy: Having inherited part of Bruce Wayne’s fortune, and the responsibilities that come with it, Alfred is a silent partner in Wayne Enterprises.

Weaknesses:

  • Only Human: Although in excellent shape, Alfred is just a regular human who, other than a kevlar vest, has no supernatural defenses or expensive armor to protect him.
  • Damian Wayne: Alfred cares deeply for his ward, and will stop at nothing to protect him. Should this become known, it may well be used against him.

Relevant history

Born in Great Britain, London, Alfred grew up to follow a career in the SAS and MI5 after having dabbled as an actor. After his father died, he gave up his prestigious assignment to take over the guardianship of Bruce Wayne.

Although they had their ups and downs, Alfred and Bruce developed a relationship that was much like that of father and son, build on mutual respect and unwavering loyalty. Alfred was with Bruce when he became Batman, and offered moral and practical support throughout the development of the Bat Cave.

Alfred helped Bruce raise Dick Grayson when he was adopted by Bruce and became Robin. Later, he helped Bruce to raise/advise Tim Drake. Alfred also has close friendships with other members of the Bat-Clan and he is highly respected by those heroes who are aware of his existence, including Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.

When Batman was killed in action and Alfred being the last one to see him alive, Alfred was shattered. In a last message Bruce told Alfred he considered him as a father and leaves Alfred one final task. Shortly after, Alfred stepped up and became the guardian of Bruce’s biological son, Damian Wayne.

Although he does not always agree with Damian, Alfred has an unshakable belief in the young man. He has been a constant source of advice and support, and was the first to support him when Damian accepted the mantle of Robin. He is the one constant in Damian’s life and his unfailing loyalty provides an anchor to keep Damian grounded. He now attempts to guide the rash young man as his father would have wanted, and -together with Grayson- he hopes that the responsibility of being Batman’s Robin will help Damian to control his killer instincts and find a purpose in life.

History altered to a clone, to avoid inconsistencies with another character's timeline.

This clone of Harley's was created by a team of the Joker, shortly before the birth of Poison Ivy's cloned daughter Maria, and was kept in stasis in a secret lab. Of course, the Joker being the Joker, he either has long since forgotten about this lab or just stopped caring (probably within five minutes of having ordered its creation), and it fell to neglect, causing in Harley's recent awakening. The cloned Harley has all the memories of the original, up to the moment of her creation, but obviously has no knowledge of Poison Ivy's daughter.

In this Harley's mind, she once was Dr Harleen Quinn who met the Joker in the Arkham Asylum, and fell in love. She had a stormy affair with the Joker and became his partner in crime, but after several betrayals - his latest being his current 'disappearance'- she has decided she is 'so over him'.
