It's been a while since I've played DnD, and my DM skills are rusty as all get-out as a result.  One of my players last time we got together (which was a while ago) said I should give up the reigns and enjoy a game or two, and I think I'd like to do that.

I'm willing to take whatever role a team needs, and I've played a variety of characters in the past.  I'm most familiar with DnD 3.5, but I'm a pretty quick learner and am willing to learn most other systems as long as we play on this site or a site similar to this(my internet can't handle video chat.)

I don't mind sexuality in-game, so long as it doesn't completely dominate it (I wanna kill shit, too.) Let me know if you have a game going that you think will suit me.

Out of curiousity, and without commitment to DM, I'd like to ask you for a bit of elaboration on what interests you...And I do apologize, as I see you're new here which means you've just spent several days already answering questions!

Fantasy campaigns can run the gamut from minimalist-roleplay, high-roll play dungeon crawling where a character has a backstory of 2-3 lines to minimalist rolling and heavy role-play political intrigues. Where along that range do you find the most enjoyment?

Do you prefer existing 'official' campaign worlds or homebrew? Support characters or damage-dealers? Urban, rural, or "this game starts at the entry to the dungeon?"

Do you prefer extremely flexible (sandbox) situations, or do you like it when it's fairly obvious which direction the GM intends the action to go?

My O/Os. My A/As.
Games I seek:
Savage Worlds of My Little Pony <- Just what it says. Free supplement for SW. (Or any other MLP RP!!! :D)
Eclipse Phase <- Posthuman grit SF, open source, downloadable from their web site. VERY deep worldbuilding.
Cold City <- Espionage meets the Lovecraftian supernatural. Allies in post-war Berlin chasing down the results of secret Nazi experiments
a|state <- Post-apocalyptic sort-of-steampunk, sort-of-high tech roleplay in a massive, decaying, broken-down city-state.

Thufir Hawat

Tea, please >:)!

Also, if CotG decides to run a game after all, and if you're looking for players, would you count me in? I can play pretty much anything except non-stop hack-and-fuck, and I think we share a similar taste in settings and systems :P!

Sorry about not responding to this for a while.

My only table top experience is with 2e, 3e, and 3.5e.  As far as interests, as long as I can learn the system in a day (of constant reading) and we don't have to go on roll20 (I don't trust my internet to handle video chat) I'm down for pretty much anything.  Like I said, I'm trying to expand my horizons and experience new things.  I'm already in a playtest for Sassy Space Vixens, but if you don't mind a sporadic posting schedule from me, I wouldn't mind joining your game as well.

But to be nice, I'll answer your questions.

I prefer a mix of character development, exploration, and combat.  I've never done the political intrigue thing, though, so I would like to try that.

Do you prefer existing 'official' campaign worlds or homebrew? Support characters or damage-dealers? Urban, rural, or "this game starts at the entry to the dungeon?"

Either official or homebrew is fine.  The only characters I play are ones that fit into a role that the people I'm playing with needs.  As for the last bit, anything goes.

Do you prefer extremely flexible (sandbox) situations, or do you like it when it's fairly obvious which direction the GM intends the action to go?

Sandbox, with some linearness when appropriate.  A good story takes you along for the ride, but what's the point in playing if I don't get a say in what my character is doing?

Coffee or tea?

Neither, for religious reasons.
