Remembering using an abacus... Haha.

I'm at least young enough that I don't know how to use an abacus OR a slide-rule for that matter. Four function calculator were cheap and available from grade school, and more advanced graphing calculators were available in high school. Of course, now your phone can do all that and more, especially with an internet connection.

Consciously remembering a time before I had the internet makes me feel old all over again. My parents purchased cable internet and gave me unlimited access to the internet (and my own e-mail address, now forwarding to my current gmail address) when I was in third grade (eight years old, almost 30 years ago now) and I was one of just a handful of kids that age who had ANY access to the internet at all, let alone unfettered access.

My parents were very early adopters. My father's old e-mail address was TOM@COMPUSERVE.NET for example.
