Guilty or Not Guilty II

Guilty, I accidentally bugged out our online-submission forum for my child psych class to the point where I had to screenshare to show I couldn't submit it... at like 4 minutes before the deadline. Thankfully my prof was lax about it.

TNP has a ton of books on their 'to be read' but keeps buying new ones and swears they'll get to 'em.

guilty - kinda! i haven't bought too many books lately but when i was a bookseller, i spent like £300 on books in one month because i got a staff discount. literally bought £600-worth of books. i still have many of them. still catching up. 

the next person has accidentally tipped too much salt into their food before.

TNP has been procrastinating a task for countless days, even though it would take 15 minutes to complete.

Not guilty. The stuff I've been procrastinating on for countless days will take many hours. I've only been procrastinating on my writing for a couple of days, and tomorrow is a free day in my own house (all the housemates will be gone from 9-5 at least) for the first time in days, so I plan to get caught up tomorrow, which will take about 15 minutes per game, give or take.

Not guilty AFAICR (As Far As I Can Recall.) It's POSSIBLE that at some point I did when I was much younger, but if so, I have no recollection of such, or evidence that I did so.

Keeping with the holiday tradition, TNP has dressed up as Father Christmas, or one of his elves at some point in their lives.

The next person has been to the Caribbean but this was not the day they nearly got caught.
They also may or may not be a Captain.

Not guilty, though I've been sailing (two times, and neither time as a Captain) in the Florida Keys, which are included in many pirate games supposedly set in the Caribbean. One of the best memories I have was running before a storm to get to a harbor before the full of it hit, reducing sail in pouring rain (to avoid losing the mast) amidst 10 foot seas. (Which doesn't sound like a lot, but we were in a 40 ft sailboat, and 10 foot seas means a gap of 20 feet between the low and the high of the swells.) In retrospect, it was terrifying, but at the time we were too busy focusing on not dying to really think about it.

TNP stopped going to school before getting a college degree. (Two or four year degree.) This includes dropping out in High School, not going to college, or dropping out of college.

Guilty, though I finally got myself together enough to go back and finish years later.

TNP slacked at work today because it's Friday.

Not guilty. Because I didn't go to work today. We have family coming into town this weekend, so I went to my Dad's last night, and decided not to take my computer and other work gear. I helped clean the house and get it ready for the visit.

TNP has quit or resigned from a job in protest some time in their life.

I actually am guilty of the previous one having recently quit in protest. And when the handcuffs are made of cheap metal instead of gold, they tend to be easier to break.

Guilty. Although it wasn't a heavily life-threatening natural disaster, people did die in the great Ice Storm of 2016. My house lost power for over five days, and some people in the area lost power for almost two weeks. The plum tree outside split from root to branches from the cold with a sound like a gunshot, and the maple tree near it lost a branch three feet thick that, fortunately, fell between the two houses closest beside. (And was the loudest sound I have ever heard, to rival the sound of trees being torn up by their roots.)

Guilty; I live in tornado alley nowadays, but I've also lived through a ton of West Coast forest fires and I gotta say, I'm not a fan of any of the above. I respect and appreciate mother nature's wrath but man, those beautiful, terrifying storms remind me how small we really are. 

It's humbling, to say the least. 

The next person has lived in one place for most of their life and has no real desire to move away from it!

Guilty. I live in Eugene, Oregon, and I find it's a lot like Dolly Parton's song. I was born here, and I went to collage in Salem, Oregon, and graduate school in Portland, Oregon, and now I'm living back in Eugene. I'd be willing to move for a job, but most of my jobs thus far (and likely in the future) have been work-from-home remote jobs. And I'm just fine with that. 

TNP is seriously considering (not just talking about or fantasizing about) moving to a different country from where they currently live before the end of the year.

Not guilty. But I wish I was! I would love to move to the northern Mediterranean (France, Italy, Greece) and just live a simple life without all this north American everything-is-unafordable...

TNP has visited at least 3 countries other than the one the live in.

TNP prefers working in an office to working at home.

True-ish. As long as it's not a customer-facing job, or a job with heavy managerial involvement.

TNP likes the idea of fusion restaurants better than the reality.

Not Guilty. I've really enjoyed the fusion restaurants I've eaten at. But maybe that's because I'm very picky about which restaurants I'll go to.

TNP has enjoyed a fast food meal from a big chain at least once in the past month.
