A referral link is something that you can copy and paste to other sites, in order to bring new people to Elliquiy.  If they follow your link, and create an account, it updates your 'referral count'.  (This doesn't come with any bells or whistles.  It's just a stat.)

I don't remember ever using that link but I have brought several players to E.

For some reason, two of them got counted. Or at least, that's how I understand the number of referrals?

I believe there's also a box during sign-up where people can enter 'who referred me'.  That would also increase the number.  The link just makes it so they don't have to remember your user-name at the time.
