Welcome to the Isle of the Lost. A terrible place to live. Cut off from the rest of the world as punishment for the crimes committed by its original inhabitants. However, most of those original inhabitants are either dead or too aged to be a threat anymore. It's their children and grandchildren who suffer now. Twenty-Four years since the magical barrier was put into place and things are changing.

An earthquake ripped through the market a week ago, leaving a crack all down the center of the main road. Over the course of the week, small quakes have been happening all over the Isle. Since the one tv station they get, Auradon News, hasn't mentioned anything about the quakes, they can only assume that the quakes have only been affecting them. Which makes perfect sense. Their lives are already terrible, so what're a few earthquakes...

Uma, Leader of the Isle, realizes that if they don't figure out what's happening the next big quake could be the last.

Updates:
  • 02/14/2021: Altered game a little for some more dynamic by opening it up both Isle characters and Auradon characters. You can play a canon character or an OC. The basic story is the same, except a group of Auradon characters will be sent to the Isle to help investigate the earthquakes. Changed age range to 18-24 for characters. Altered Character Sheet slightly.

Game Information:
  • Number of characters will be limited. This is a quest game. I want no more than 9 players. With myself, that will make 10 total. Because of this, not everyone who submits a character sheet will be accepted. No hard feelings. Just want to have a well-rounded group, so I do have to be selective.
  • Canon characters are acceptable. Here is a list of Canon Villains and Heroes. Be aware, there are some Restrictions.
  • This will be a freeform game, not a system game. But we will make use of the dice bot on occasion to make decisions.
  • Game will take place in the Extreme board. This will cover not just sexual situations, but primarily violence and gore. This game will involve fighting and people are going to get hurt. There will be a separate thread from the main threads for intimacy, but not for violence.
  • As the title of the game suggests, our main adversary will be Chernabog. As such, no children of Chernabog will be allowed.
  • Children of Villains and Heroes are being accepted. I would like a mix of both, so if I get too many villain profiles, I will either have to adjust the story or decline applications.
  • If you choose to use a canon character, please no images from the Disney Descendants films. The actors might be of age, but the characters aren't. Please find faceclaims of the actors themselves out of character to use. Thank you.
  • Disregard of the game's tagging system and a player's Ons/Offs will not be tolerated. Likewise, incivility, outright rudeness towards other players, disregarding what is happening in a scene, and blatant ignoring of the godmodding rule will not be tolerated either. You may be asked to leave the game if the situation is bad enough.
  • Game will have no set pace. Please attempt to notify GM(s) or post in OOC regarding long absences. After two weeks of no activity, I shall reach out to see if you are okay and to see if we need to skip you in a scene if you are part of some kind of event. If you do not reply within a week of that message, you will be automatically skipped, but not removed. If there is still no response two more weeks after your last activity in the game, you will be considered on hiatus and out of the scene. You can still return to the game as whole, just not that event as it will have moved on by then. No player will be removed from the game just based on activity, you can always return and start a new scene. Your character will not be used without your permission, but they will be removed from the context of the remaining scene as if an NPC did your prior actions just to keep the flow going.

Chapter 1: A Night on Bald Mountain...er...Bald Hill?

No one needed to report the earthquake to Uma and her crew. Everyone across the Isle had felt it. What they did report were the damages. Even on the wharf where she kept her throne in her mother's Fish and Chips shop, they had felt it and experienced what it caused. Poor Flotsam and Jetsam had to be moved to smaller tanks until their usual one could be repaired. It was troubling because they'd never experienced an earthquake on the Isle before. Even the storms that occasionally raged through the ocean around the little prison never actually reached them. The barrier kept everything out. That meant the only place the earthquake could have come from was from the Isle itself.

At first, many accused Hades. Saying that his digging under the Isle was what caused it and demanded he paid for the repairs. While Uma wasn't overly familiar with the god of the underworld, she did know he wasn't the best at keeping things to himself when it came to his accomplishments. If he had caused the earthquake, he would have well owned up to it with his own dramatic flair. No. Uma didn't believe it was his fault or that of his little minions or children. It was the Isle itself that had quaked. It wasn't a localized thing. It was like a wave had washed over them but from underground. Uma had felt something like this before. In the past, when she'd managed to find her mother's lost necklace and retrieve it. It had been buried in the Isle of the Doomed. Since that one night, she had refused to step foot in that place. Even if magic couldn't exist here, something dark was on the tiny island. Something Uma never wanted to feel again.

"You called, My Captain? Harry trilled in his thick accent as he settled into a chair near her throne. His legs thrown over the arms of the old chair as he lounged.

"You're going to the Isle of the Doomed to see if the source of the quakes is coming from it," her orders were short and simple.

Yet Harry laughed. Loudly. It only stopped when he read the look on her face, "Oh! You're actually serious," it was Harry, her oldest companion, who was the only person who could get away with talking to her the way he did, "I'm crazy, but I'm not stupid. I'm not going back there," he had been there the night they got her mother's necklace. Hacking through thorny forests, running from blood hungry goblins, falling into water-filled pits, and then there were the booby-traps. They'd nearly lost their heads to some sword-swinging skeletons and volleys of arrows. That wasn't even the worst part of the tiny island. They hadn't gone near Maleficent's old fortress. They could only imagine how much worse that place would have been.

"Is Harry Hook scared of a few skeletons?" she teased.

"Frankly, yes. Give me something with flesh I can hook any day over that. I can't sweet-talk an undead pile of bones."

"And you think you can sweet talk anything else?" it was their game. It had been for well over a decade now.

"The Gaston Twins seem to like my tongue," not so much what he said with it, but rather what he could do with it. Yet, in Harry's mind, that was a form of conversation too and therefore counted as sweet talk.

Uma was quick to reach over and snatch the hook from his hand, "Do we have to have this conversation again? Last time, you almost lost this for good. Don't test me, Harry. Remember your place."

His face hardened and he nodded before climbing out of his chair and sitting on his knees in front of her, "You're the Captain and I'm the First Mate," while in his youth he had followed Uma around like a puppy and followed her orders, when it came time to decide who was captain and who wasn't, it had been a fight. Uma won.

"We won't be alone. I sent a petition to Auradon," to which Harry sneered, "They might be idiots, but the Isle of the Lost is still one of their kingdoms. Any natural disasters here could eventually cause trouble for them. They're sending a group to help you, but I want you to find some of our own to take with you. I don't trust them."

Nothing more needed to be said. She returned the hook to him and he stood before making his way for the door. It was time to round up some miscreants. If Harry had to go to that horrible place and be with a bunch of pampered prisses, he wasn't suffering it alone.

I do have Ursula restricted. She tends to be an overly popular character in these sorts of things and I don't want any characters with the feeling that they should have the throne over Uma at this point in the game. There are villains that are available who have similar sorts of powers or are just as/if not more powerful. Such as Madam Mim (from Sword in the Stone), Dr. Facilier, Hades, Jafar, and Yzma.

Sexual Orientation: Chaotically Bisexual
Romantic Orientation Biromantic

Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Light Blue
Height: 6'0''
Weight/Body Structure/Physical Faults: Harry is a light-skinned brawny guy with dark brown hair. He is very fit despite the living conditions, mostly because he's never been afraid to just take what he wants to survive. He has lots of callouses on his hands from working on a ship. On his back, he has a very crude tattoo of his father's ship, the Jolly Roger. He traded a sword for it when he was thirteen. It's old, faded, and was badly done to begin with. Harry usually wears a thick ring of eyeliner all the time and rarely washes it off completely.
Race/Species: Human - Cursed (linked to Davy Jones' curse)
Parents:
  • Captain James Hook - Father
  • Mother - Unknown, but there is a ship wench who has similar eyes to him.
  • Davy Jones - Great-great-great-great-great Grandfather
Color Pallet: Usually dresses in jewel tone reds, black, and dirty white.
Images:

Siblings/Other Family Members:
  • Harriet Hook - Older Sister
  • CJ Hook - Younger Sister
Friends/Allies:
  • Uma - Daughter of Ursula. Harry's Captain, Queen, and Darling. Involved in a sexual relationship with, but don't consider each other romantic partners.
  • Gil Gaston - Son of Gaston. Harry's "friend" and muscle of their pirate crew. Involved in a sexual relationship with, but don't consider each other romantic partners.
Enemies:
  • King Ben - Son of Beast and Belle. Prick.
  • Mal - Daughter of Maleficent. Traitor.
  • Jay - Son of Jafar. Traitor.
  • Evie - Daughter of Evil Queen. Traitor.
  • Carlos - Son of Cruella De Vil. Traitor.

Hobbies: Drinking, sailing, raiding, sex, and fighting. Usually all at once. He's also surprisingly good at sewing.
Likes: Drinking, sailing, raiding, sex, fighting, flirting, swimming, and more flirting.
Dislikes: Auradon. Princes. Princesses. Being stuck on an island and not being able to explore the open ocean.
Fears: Not being good enough. Being a disappointment to Uma and his father.
Strengths: His loyalty.
Weakness: Doesn't think things through. Tends to rush in. Harry's also not very good at reading or writing.
Turn Ons/Offs: Harry is very open-minded. With so little to do on the Isle after so long, he rarely turns down a chance to try something new.

Talents and Skills:
  • Swordfighting - Being born a pirate, Harry has had a cutlass, saber, and rapier in his hand since he could walk. He's very skilled in using a bladed weapon.
  • Hook Fighting - Being raised by a man with a hook for one hand, he had to learn how to defend against that and since he carries his own hook around, he uses it when he fights as well. His opponents have to watch out not for just his sword swings, but his hook swings as well.
  • Sailing - Like his sister's and most pirates, Harry knows the in's and out's of a ship like the back of his hand. He has a wide knowledge of the workings of a ship and how to sail it. More so than even Uma, who is his captain. That was why she'd decided to name him First Mate. Sailing is in his blood as his father was a good sailor naturally and was his ancestor Davy Jones.
  • Intimidation - Harry is a little off his rocker and doesn't mind using that to his advantage. His skills in intimidation don't come from flaunting strength, but rather from flaunting what he is willing to do.

Temperament/Personality:
Harry is prideful, sneaky, and always ready to hook someone, especially anyone from Auradon. He prides himself on being wild and unpredictable, off-kilter, and a little mad. His only disappointment is the fact that he has to carry a hook with his hands rather than possessing one instead of a hand.

Harry is a terrible flirt. He looks at everyone as if they are prey and he's a shark waiting to eat them up.

Background: Born as a second child, Harry was owed nothing by his father. It was his older sister, Harriet, who would take over the Jolly Roger and Hook's Inlet one day. Harry had to make his own way. He spent all his childhood running along the docks and learning everything he could about the ships. When he found his first hook at the age of ten, having stolen it from a goblin, Harry felt like his father might love him more if he had to have a hook for a hand. He spent the whole day wiggling his hand around in the water near Tick Tock Croc, but the old reptile just peeked at him before closing and going to sleep.

As a teenager, Hook naturally followed Uma's lead. She was a powerful woman and he felt drawn to her. It felt right to do as she said. Not that he would admit that he liked it. Then it happened. At sixteen his father decided to give up one of his old ships. The Lost Revenge. It needed a lot of work, but it was a ship. Whoever won the boat race Captain Hook held would be given the ship. Uma was determined to have it. Harry felt slighted by his father for not being given the ship and fought with Uma about it. She stole his hook and said the only way he would get it back was if one of them won the race. If neither of them won, she would toss it into the croc-infested bay. The next thing to settle was who would be captain and who would be the first mate. Uma declared that if she won, he would be the first mate while she was captain. Harry declared that if he won, she would be his first mate and he the captain...as well as getting a date with her.

Uma won the race, but only barely. They had both spent the whole race cheating. She had started on a raft and him in a tub, but he quickly took over someone else's galley and she snagged a goblin speedboat. She only managed to win by getting a lucky throw with her knife and cutting the remaining rope on one of his sails. It slowed him down and put him off course just long enough to let her win. Thus he became the First Mate of the Lost Revenge.

Since then, he has been loyal to Uma and her causes. At first, he was just her thug. He'd go around collecting safety fees and the like. But as she moved up the chain and soon claimed the throne for herself, he was now her thug in a different way. Now instead of taking money from everyone, he made sure all of Uma's new laws were being followed.

Since the earthquake, Uma has tasked him with finding a group to search for the cause of the earthquakes.

Player Notes: If anyone chooses to play Gil Gaston, Gil is canon to be a bit of a flirt as well and dates a lot. It's also canon that he and Harry have shared kisses together.

Race/Species: Half human - half spirit

Hobbies: Reading, Swimming, kayaking, rowing, scuba diving, traveling
Likes: animals (particularly dogs. Owns a descendant of Cerberus called Mordred), spending time with her father, smutty romance books, water sports
Dislikes: hero's, spicy food
Fears: Spiders
Strengths:
Weakness: Easily loses her temper go things dont go her way.
Turn Ons/Offs: Levi ons/off
Talents and Skills:
Natrual Empath - Belladonna is a surprising good listener after two decades of hearing her dad talk about "the good old days" or"when I was a king" she cant be anything but. She sometimes picks up on people emotions without them even having to say anything.

Water baby - Being a daughter of a river spirit has it perks, Belladonna has an affinity with water and anything related to it comes easily to her.

Dog whisperer - Growing up with a three headed  dog as a companion is certainly  interesting. Each head has it's own moods and it's own traits. As a child Belladonna spent many hours leaning and watching Cerberus to see what the differences where. When she turned 18 Hades gave Belladonna her own puppy.
Temperament/Personality: Belladonna is a surprisingly good listener although she rarely offers opinion or advise. She can be rather quick to temper especially when things are "unfair". Naturally her unfair is a little warped into her own favour. Despite this however she is a deeply romantic person and just wants someone to accept her the way she is.

Background: After the battle between Hercules and Hades was won. Hades swirled lost in the waters of the damed never knowing if he would ever get free. How long he was within the waves he did not know. Time had no meaning, he was bound by the spirits that were themselves captive.

After what seemed like an eternity his calls for help were finally answered. The water sprite Styx came to him in his hour of need, she was a thing of beauty and their love bloomed instantly. Styx pulled Hades from his bonds. Finally free from imprisonment  Hades would have made Styx his Queen but the magic of the heroes ripped the pair from their home and dumped them unceremoniously on the isle.

Hades and Styx's love bloomed for many years before she finally gave birth to Belladonna, however her anger of being judged evil for freeing Hades from the river of dead had never really gained. Also because of her natural affinity to live in the water, she left the pair shortly after Belladonna was born. Hades never judged Styx for this choice, perhaps being on the isle or having a daughter mellowed  his evil tendencies.  He brought Belladonna up mostly alone however Styx would often come to see her daughter over the years and the two are very close.

He would be outside of the age range for this game. This is more playing as the children of the villains. You could do a child of Dr. Facilier. ^_^

Jag

Update: Opening game up to a mix of Heroes and Villains rather than just starting with villains only. Adjusted character age range and altered the character sheet slightly.

"I want what I deserve."

Gender: Female
Age: 20
Sexual Orientation: Bicurious
Romantic Orientation Unsure

Hair: Curly Dark Brown, but sometimes dyes it blonde with baby blue and pink streaks
Eyes: Dark Brown
Height: 5'3''
Weight/Body Structure/Physical Faults: Audrey is a delicate girl. Lightly tanned skin naturally with deep, dark eyes. She is on the curvy side with wide hips, thick thighs, and a decent sized bust; but she carries herself like the willowy princess her mother had been. She has no scars or physical flaws. Her fairy aunts (Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather) always made sure she looked like the perfect princess.
Race/Species: Human - Cursed (by Maleficent's Dragon Eye Staff)
Parents:
  • Princess Aurora - Mother
  • Prince Phillip - Father
Color Pallet: Pastel Pinks and Blues.
Images:

Siblings/Other Family Members:
  • Queen Leah - Grandmother on Mother's side
  • King Stefan - Grandfather on Mother's side
  • King Hubert - Grandfather on Father's side
  • Ariana Rose - Cousin
Friends/Allies: Currently None.
Enemies: Feels like everyone is the enemy right now.

Hobbies: Writing, drawing, singing, and dancing.
Likes: Popularity, fashion, royalty, looking good, selfies, competing against others, the color pink.
Dislikes: Her hair looking awful, magic (most of the time), the Isle of the Lost, everyone making fun of her at school after Ben dumped her, mud, stealing, being late, being a failure to her grandmother.
Turn Ons/Offs: Audrey is very innocent sexually. She's never done anything more than kiss (not even with tongue) and hold hands. She isn't sure what she likes or doesn't like.

Talents and Skills:
  • Singing - Audrey was the lead alto in the Auradon Acapella group before graduation.
  • Dancing - Like all proper ladies of Auradon, Audrey has been taking dance classes since she was a child and she is very good at it.
  • Knowledge of plants and animals - Audrey spent most of her free time in the Fairy Cottage with Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather who taught her all about animals and plants in non-magical contexts.
  • Magic - Seems to have some lingering magic abilities from her time under the Dragon Eye Staff's spell.

Temperament/Personality:

Audrey is the complete opposite of her mother. While her mother is sweet and kind, Audrey is self-absorbed, a fact that Queen Belle pointed out once. She is also sassy, petty (on occasion), slightly rude, caring (in her own way), vindictive, naive, cynical, unlucky, strongly principled, girly, and deeply remorseful.

It was her personality and the utter destruction of everything she believed in that caused the Dragon Eye Staff to call to her. Her weakened mental state at seeing Ben propose to another girl, a villain nonetheless, destroyed her. It went against everything she was raised to believe and it didn't help that her Grandmother seemed to believe it was Audrey's fault. Feeling alone and depressed, Audrey gave into her anger for the first time in her life.

Currently, Audrey is in a rebirth of sorts. She isn't quite sure who she is now. Having been raised to be Queen and nothing less, the fact that she won't be has taken its toll on the pretty girl. She's quiet these days and spends a lot of time alone in the Fairy Cottage where people can't see her.

Background:

Since her mother had been sent away as a child for safety and her grandmother had missed out on really being a mother, Audrey was a spoiled little girl. She was the only real "princess" on Auradon. She retained the title because her family and King Adam and Queen Belle decided to betroth their children. She was promised to Ben from the day she was born. Nothing was ever withheld from her. She was allowed to have anything she wanted so long as she was a good princess. So long as she sat up straight, laughed sweetly, sang beautifully, and looked like a flower; so long as she did that, she was allowed to have anything she wanted. Audrey wasn't expected to actually do anything in life by her family. All that was expected of her was to be a princess and marry a prince.

Until she was sixteen, that was exactly what she did. She was the head cheerleader, lead alto, always had the nicest dresses, went out on chaperoned dates with Prince Ben every Friday night, and had a picnic lunch made for the two of them every Sunday afternoon. She would sing softly for her prince, dance sweetly with him in the gardens, and avoid all conversations of politics and her opinions on the Isle of the Lost. The one time Ben had got a rise from her was when he first brought up the idea of bringing the villain kids over. She'd snapped and took him by surprise. The anger was quickly gone as she remembered she wasn't supposed to do things like that.

Then her whole world came crashing down. Ben publicly humiliated her. Declaring his love for that awful, purple-haired girl in front of the whole school with her standing right there. She heard a rumor that Mal had spelled him, but the spell had been broken and he was still with the other girl. To spare herself some of the humiliation, she started dating Chad Charming. The bothersome boy was the closest thing to a prince she could find. He was hopeless though and they spent most of their time breaking up and getting back together. Chad was like a kicked puppy who did anything she told him to. Some would think Audrey would like that in a guy, but she didn't. He was just annoying.

Ben's proposal to the villainous girl was the last straw. Audrey couldn't take it anymore. She felt alone and sad. No one ever asked how she was feeling anymore. No one had cared before graduation that she had quit the cheerleading team and stopped going to the acapella group. No one asked why she didn't partake in the end of school scavenger hunt. She wasn't invited to Jane's birthday party. Lonnie didn't ask her to come to Wei for spring break like she always had in the past. She didn't get a single text message asking why she didn't go on the after graduation summer trip to Mermaid Bay in Neverland. It was like she had never existed. That the minute she wouldn't be Queen, no one cared about her anymore. That the only reason anyone had even talked to her was because she was supposed to be Queen one day. Her Grandmother, Queen Leah, telling her how she had failed didn't help. She was a failure and she felt lonely. No one had cared that she'd run off to her room crying while everyone else was celebrating the nearly engaged couple.

Audrey had only meant to be a little mean. She'd just been upset when she broke into the museum and stole Belle's crown. She wasn't going to do anything with it. Just hide it or something. Maybe wear it for a few minutes to see what it felt like. That's all she'd really wanted. Just to look in the mirror once and see what it would have looked like for her to be a Queen. But something called to her. She heard it in her head. It kept saying her name and there was a pull in her chest. A fire of rage rushed over her and she couldn't help herself as she grabbed the Dragon Eye Staff. It promised her she would be Queen. It promised her that Ben would love her. It promised her that everyone would love her again. It promised her the life she deserved.

The princess had tried to stop herself when she realized what she was doing was wrong, but it was too late. Mal nearly had to kill her to stop her. When the dust settled, Audrey retreated. She hid away in the Fairy Cottage. The three good fairies tried to tell her that it wasn't her fault. That it was all Maleficent's fault. They said that staff should have been destroyed years ago. Audrey liked hearing that it wasn't her fault, but she knew it was a lie. She'd hurt a lot of people and caused a lot of trouble. Audrey just stayed there in the woods, trying to figure things out. She didn't apply to colleges and universities like most of the others from her class did. She didn't want to be around people anymore.

When King Ben showed up at the cottage, she was shocked. She hadn't seen him in two years. He looked as handsome as ever. He came with news of the Isle of the Lost. That something was happening on it and he wanted her to go with a group to help investigate it. When asked why her, he told her that people were still calling for them to exile her there and that if she proved herself useful in helping the Isle and Auradon, then he could make a good case to keep that from happening.
