A New World [Sandbox] - Interest Check

The year is 2717. The Earth has been reborn after two cycles. There is no such thing as technology and the Earth has returned back to its primitive state. The humans that survived now seek to rebuilt "home". What people know how has changed and it is different. Humans lead a simple and quiet life. Most people belong to a tribe with a special class of expertise. There is no such thing as money, dollars or cents. People trade. There is no formal government.

This is an interest check on anyone who is interested to play and build the new world.


Some other information:
- There will be only 3 major tribes people can join to start so that it would not be so complicated. If the RP gets bigger we can make it to 5.
- The 3 tribes are the: Lacus, Nemus and Conlis.

- Lacus specialize in fishing, boat making and they are excellent swimmers.
- Nemus specialize in agriculture, farming and they are excellent tree climbers.
- Conlis specialize in herbs/medicine, hunting and they are excellent hunters.

This is a sandbox type of game whereby new discoveries can be made and not everything is set in stone.


**oh, and I am looking for a reliable Co-GM or 2 to help me manage this.

It came to me in a dream. And I was like: "I NEED TO HAVE THIS IN A RP!!!" and I realized it was better if it was in a group setting than a 1 on 1.

It's a great jumping off point.

World building gives me chest pains insofar as thinking about all the...things that need to be accounted for.  So it's super-brave of you to want to do this.

You would want to lay out tech-levels, education levels, societal and political structures.  You could keep it really surface level and let your writers work out the rest with your guidance.

You'd want to consider the inflection point for when things went to shit.  How it happened, etc.  You wouldn't necessarily have to share it with the writers.  It could be a mystery they discover but knowing how it all went down would help guide the over-arching narrative maybe?

It will be my first time managing a group RP. Looking for co-GMs to work out kinks like those and smoothen it out. But for now, gotta see who is interested and be a willing sacrifice as co-GM.

What if the structure was more like this?

- Lacus specialize in fishing, boat making and they are excellent swimmers.
- Nemus specialize in agriculture, farming and they have excellent knowledge of herbs/medicine
- Conlis specialize in hunting, and they are excellent tree climbers.


It just seems like that goes a little more hand in hand with the archetypes?

I could put Nemus as knowledgeable herbologists but I cannot see Conlis being tree climbers. I put them good with medicine because ivory, bear paws etc are all used in chinese medicine of which I used as a reference. I do see your point there too.

I've started writing like a formal recruiting thread and all the details. I'll make the appropriate changes and everything.

This is like my first group RP and I am not someone who is good with managing big groups of sorts. So I ask for leniency as I search for a co-GM. :)
