Quick question (Boston native) so this is in the Boston area, is it like Boston college where you just take the green line to get to most of the nightlife and shopping areas? maybe close to Boston college kind of like a "sister" school close by, so that way when folks reference using the T they can just take the Boston college line which is its own stop on the green line towards areas like Kenmore near Fenway??

PERSONALITY:

However, after growing up in a household with a single, grieving father, Eleanor longs to please others and make their lives easier. She typically goes out of her way to help others, and routinely volunteers to complete projects or tedious tasks, even if she does not have the time or energy. In order to keep others happy, she often hides her own desires or struggles in an attempt to avoid drama. This leads her to dreaming about what a relationship could be, instead of actually being in one.

Since coming to Raft College, Eleanor has gone through a fairly rebellious phase, and has developed quite the flirtatious and troublesome streak. This has led her to more self-discovery, but also left her with some big regrets. As such, she is currently trying to be a devoted academic and member of her sister sorority.

BACKGROUND:
Eleanor Jasper was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She is an only child of loving parents who married young. Since she was born so close to Christmas, she was held back a year from starting kindergarten, so she has always been a year older than most of her peers.

Her mother was a baker, and her father is a city police detective. Although money was never abundant in Eleanor’s life, it was practically non-existent once her mother developed brain cancer when Eleanor was three. Over the next four years, the cost of her mother’s medical treatments drove her family into massive financial debt, but unfortunately, they were still not enough to save her mom. Eleanor’s mother passed away shortly before Eleanor’s eighth birthday.

Though she doesn’t remember a lot of her mom, Eleanor is definitely close to her dad. Being both a cop and a single father meant he was very strict, and overprotective of Eleanor. He drove her to school every day in his squad car, and everyone in her high school knew that Eleanor was both a cop’s daughter and a goody-two-shoes. Eleanor knew that many of her peers didn’t trust or like her father, so she was always extra nice and helpful, and tried not to cause any drama. Instead of making friends, she focused on her studies. She enjoyed school and excelled in most subjects, especially science. She graduated with a 4.5 GPA and was her year’s valedictorian. When she received a fully-funded offer to attend Stanford University in California, things seemed to be looking up for Eleanor. She could finally leave Portland and her overprotective father and be her own person.

But then her dad lost his job, and had to take a new position in Hartford, Connecticut. The stress of relocating was hard on him, and Eleanor worried about his health, having lost her mom already. In order to be closer to her dad, she applied as a late applicant to Raft College, forfeiting almost all of her funding opportunities. Upon arriving at Raft, Eleanor immediately joined the Delta Phi Delta in order to make friends and fill as much of her free time as possible. However, without her dad watching, Eleanor was ready to try new things (especially swear words).

Her first year at Raft was full of rebellion – drinking, getting a tattoo, getting her nose and belly-button pierced, losing her virginity on a dare. Some of her past decisions she is grateful for but others – like losing her virginity – she definitely regrets. After spending the summer working as an undergraduate assistant in an Astronomy lab, Eleanor has come into her second year at Raft with a renewed focus. Fewer parties, more studying. Raft may not have been her first choice (or really, even a choice) but she is still going to make the most of it.

It's not really a secret that he and some friends try to get in DnD sessions at least once every two weeks in the basement game room of Mutch Hall.

That he's getting dividends off of the time he spends in the gym is a recent development, and it's starting to go to his head a little bit. When he enrolled at Raft College he was at least 80 pounds overweight and he often forgets that he's lost that weight, but when he remembers he can't seem to let it go. Takes his studies pretty seriously but is starting to get distracted.

BACKGROUND:
Cory Hill was pretty much the stereotype nerd if from one of the poorer local school districts. Video Games, Dungeons and Dragons, Comic Books, all of it. He did however have a raw talent for Physics and Mathematics, enough that when he graduated from his High School he got a Scholarship to Raft for it and signed on as an Undergraduate Physics Tutor for extra cash. He was also at least 80 pounds overweight when he enrolled originally.

Raft College might have an issue with keeping Head Coaches for their Basketball Team, but one thing all of them agreed on was the importance of keeping the grades of the team members up and openly the student-athletes to get tutoring if they were having trouble with topics. Even Cory's not sure how he ended up being a favorite of the Tutors. Probably started as just a fluke of everyone's schedules. All he knows is that he got on surprisingly friendly terms with some of the players, too the point that they managed to talk him into hitting the gym occasionally.

The twist being that he started to like it, especially when he started losing some of the weight. By the end of his Sophomore year he could even kinda of visually pass as a member of the team if he kept his shirt on. With some basketball team members needing to bring up their GPAs he had a summer job, and on a lark he accepted a wager that if all of them passed the class with at least B's he'd try out for a few sports teams the next school year. He was probably the most shocked of all that they actually succeeded, and since then he's been hitting the gym harder to get ready.

He doesn't really have that much interest in sports, and he has no dreams of NBA stardom but a deal is a deal and he intends to give it an honest shot. Besides, one thing he'll sometimes admit he's jealous of with the sports teams - he is a virgin and he does hope to shed that title...

BACKGROUND:
Chris had what some might find to be an annoyingly normal childhood.  His parents are married.  His two older siblings (fraternal twins) happen to be successful in their careers and he hasn’t any terribly sad stories to share regarding what life was like for him growing up.  His mother while kind and supportive had an unyielding sort of nature that has instilled within him a need to prove himself to those that he respects, admires or has a position of authority over him.  His father err'd on the side of goofy humour when unsure of what to do in social situations which seemed to amuse Chris' mother to no end and embarrass Chris to no end.

He did not become a lawyer like his older brother nor a pediatrician like his older sister. Upon graduating from highschool; rather than attend the expected ivy league university; Chris went another route.

He joined an environmental activist group called Sea Shepherd.  He spent a year on a ship off the coast of Mexico as well as off the coast of western Africa battling poachers.  He has experienced a goodly amount over that year and yet because of the time he spent on the ship and living twenty-four/seven with enviro-activists (terrorists?) he couldn’t be really described as “worldly”.  He has indeed spent time in a prison in Gabon which was altogether terrifying.  He left Sea Shepherd a month after being released from prison in Gabon.  While “protesting” and generally getting in the way of shark poachers in Liberia; Chris was shot by one of the poachers' harpoons.  It looked spectacularly worse than how it felt…although it certainly didn’t feel like a hug.

Upon returning to America, after two weeks of living with his parents he applied for admittance at Raft College on the other side of the country.

Chris is a walk-on, second-line power forward on the Raft College basketball team. He gives about three to five inches to a typical NBA power forward but Adam has an excellent vertical jump and plays an extremely physical game.  He is eager to prove himself to the coach and the starting line up and in time make the starting line up.   He is also a walk on for the track team regarding the long jump, triple jump, high jump, javelin and shot put.

BACKGROUND:
Chris had what some might find to be an annoyingly normal childhood.  His parents are married.  His two older siblings (fraternal twins) happen to be successful in their careers and he hasn’t any terribly sad stories to share regarding what life was like for him growing up.  His mother while kind and supportive had an unyielding sort of nature that has instilled within him a need to prove himself to those that he respects, admires or has a position of authority over him.  His father err'd on the side of goofy humour when unsure of what to do in social situations which seemed to amuse Chris' mother to no end and embarrass Chris to no end.

He did not become a lawyer like his older brother nor a pediatrician like his older sister. Upon graduating from highschool; rather than attend the expected ivy league university; Chris went another route.

He joined an environmental activist group called Sea Shepherd.  He spent a year on a ship off the coast of Mexico as well as off the coast of western Africa battling poachers.  He has experienced a goodly amount over that year and yet because of the time he spent on the ship and living twenty-four/seven with enviro-activists (terrorists?) he couldn’t be really described as “worldly”.  He has indeed spent time in a prison in Gabon which was altogether terrifying.  He left Sea Shepherd a month after being released from prison in Gabon.  While “protesting” and generally getting in the way of shark poachers in Liberia; Chris was shot by one of the poachers' harpoons.  It looked spectacularly worse than how it felt…although it certainly didn’t feel like a hug.

Upon returning to America, after two weeks of living with his parents he applied for admittance at Raft College on the other side of the country.

Chris is a walk-on, second-line power forward on the Raft College basketball team. He gives about three to five inches to a typical NBA power forward but Adam has an excellent vertical jump and plays an extremely physical game.  He is eager to prove himself to the coach and the starting line up and in time make the starting line up.   He is also a walk on for the track team regarding the long jump, triple jump, high jump, javelin and shot put.

PERSONALITY:
Elisa Velez always felt she was a natural born leader the moment she was born. She is ambitious, aggressive, competitive for the reasons that she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. While she is sweet to those that know her on a more personal level. For those that get on her bad side she is quick to make you know you’re on her hit list. She is rarely ever going to show what is bothering her on the surface. She can be the baddest bitch like the rest of them and won’t back down from anyone. She wants to enjoy life to it's fullest before she is shackled by that dread thing known as adulting.

BACKGROUND:
Elisa Rose Velez is the only daughter of Arturo Raul and Verónica Luisa Ana Velez. Her father is a Criminal Defense Lawyer and her mother was a stay at home mother. They’ve become one of the well known families in LA due to the fact that her father was on t.v for defending a senator who was put on trial for the murder of a homosexual male found dead on the shores of Vience's Beach.

She grew up never wanting for anything, however, her parents also instilled in her how to be a proper lady and as long as she didn’t embarrass the family name she was allowed to do whatever she wanted.  That did not mean that her mother didn’t teach her how to work hard for things she wanted. She got that being shy and reserved would never allow her to play on the same grounds as those in the real world. So long as she got no less than B’s she was allowed free reign to anything her heart desired and her father would always be there to help her with any of her issues.

After finishing high school, she graduated not at the very top of her class but to the point where she got a scholarship. Elisa was never shy about the things she wanted, and at what ends she was willing to get them. She wanted to show her parents that she wasn't some spoiled brat but that her hard work and dedication to being good at something would make her a better woman.

In order to do that, she moved to the far east, Boston, MA. More like Malden, MA to Raft College. Where the people were weird and it snowed. She never saw snow before so her first year was something to get use to. She pledged to the school's sorority and when she became a sophomore she was voted as the new house president. There is nothing she'd not do for her pledge sisters and would make it her goal to make sure everyone had a good time. It wasn't what you know it's all about who you know. So she made it another mission to stay connected with all the Delta Phi Delta before her. She hoped that the girls under her would be able to make it far once they graduated with the networking events she would create.

Quick question (Boston native) so this is in the Boston area, is it like Boston college where you just take the green line to get to most of the nightlife and shopping areas? maybe close to Boston college kind of like a "sister" school close by, so that way when folks reference using the T they can just take the Boston college line which is its own stop on the green line towards areas like Kenmore near Fenway??

That's a good question; I was thinking of putting the campus in Malden (SE corner of Fells reservation), adjacent to Oak Grove station, so at the northern terminus of the orange line on the T. I don't really want Raft to "replace" any existing college in the area, just be another one of them, albeit fictive.

Hey TheVillain, I'm not sure if you finished your sheet or not, but he's cool. Lady Sakura kindly pointed out your face claim's name is Thomas Frank. One minor issue though is one of his flaws, the "nerd" one. Being a nerd (having those hobbies and interests) is not a flaw in itself, so I'm gonna have to ask you to find a different flaw. Perhaps inexperience (in sports and love) as you've hinted in his sheet or bad motor coordination considering (if that's actually the case) he's never really done sports/is adapting to being more fit? Other than that, he fits the bill, so once you make the edit, hit me up here or by PM.
