A different kind of story M for any

From a lot of rps i see a common theme that i want to break away from. What makes an interesting character that leaps from the written word? Well that's simple, its their personality and how they change as they experience and interact with their world. Unfortunately that's not what i see most people do: every character seems chock-full of magic, superpowers, vampire or demon blood, a werewolf or a ninja with the personality of a cookie cutter and the character arc of an extra in an episode of Friends.

What i and hopefully you want to play as is a pawn in this fantastical world and work our way from there. Maybe a new recruit signing up for the army, having no idea what his king has in store for the horrors he will be sent off to. Or maybe a random series of events at a bar where a magical dagger is left laying in front of a drunkard womanizer and a down on her luck prostitute and they need to try to cope with being torn from their sad little lives and become people greater than themselves or die trying.
